Ben Charlie Rose's Civil Authority Application

IC Character Name: Ben Charlie Rose

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
My character, Ben Rose, would like to join the Combine Civil Authority, because, ever since the start, he was very heavily pro-union, and with 20 loyalist points, noone can deny or challenge that. He never gained points to achieve anything, or to get rations, he did it because he believed, and still does believe, that he is helping the Union. He later found out that it is possible to sign up for the CWU, and that, through it, you can and will serve the Union. He quickly signed up, passed the interview, and became one of the CWU's newest members.

Since he was training to be a doctor before the seven hour war, it was natural for him to be attracted to the medical division of the CWU. he quickly flourished, helping many citizens, ranging from many illnesses and issues. When he learned of NOVA, the medical division of the CCA, he immediately grinned to himself, knowing which division he would sign up for. He had all this in mind, way before he decided to sign up.

After doing some more research, he was positive that he would join the CCA, keeping the city safe from anti-citizens, whom he always hated. He was even attacked once, but the attacker was soon reported and caught, thanks to a fellow loyalist, and his heroes, the CCA. Over the course of his time in the city, he kept placing the CCA on a higher and higher pedestal, eager to join it's ranks. He signed up and created his application, eager to join.

Honest, trustworthy, determined, motivated.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
For my character it will be very exciting, because he will finally be able to fully help the Union, and he will work very, very hard to impress his superiors. He will probably out work himself in the first few days, eager to show off and be promoted. He will harden slower then other units, because he enjoyed and remembered how hard it was being a citizen, and will try not to screw up, but might.

For me, it will be a fun new path of RP opened to me, just like the CWU. Also, I will finnaly be able to take pat in almost all events, and not just stand around, trying to calm the citizens. I've also watched and read tutorials, as well as the contraband list, and so forth.  But, IC, I wouldn't know that, so it will be fun to be taught, once agian. Overall, I would love to be a CCA.

4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
Ben Rose was never the most physically inclined kid, and he was constantly bullied for it because the school was very physically inclined. Even through all of that, he pulled through and managed to get a good education, working part time jobs everywhere to get enough money for a good car. Even though he had a bad past at school he loved to help people and tried his best at it. When he was fifteen he was told by his father to 'Shape up or ship out!' which was his way of saying "Get focused on what you want to do in life.'  So he began thinking about what he wanted to do, when one day his mother suggested he become a doctor. He loved the idea! So he took the money he was saving for a car and put it into a bank account to earn interest.  He worked all the time to pay for his education all the while he was made fun of at high school for not having a car. He smiled at the thought of being the only one to afford college by himself. When he finished high school, he was excited that he could finally begin being a doctor! But first, he still had one thing he had to do, he had to go to college to learn the more advanced medical procedures. He took out all the money he had earned over the years and counted it, getting more and more excited with every dollar counted.  When he was done with the counting, to his despair, he  found out that he was ten thousand dollars short. Seeing as how much he had looked forward to going to college, Tyler Rose lent his brother the ten thousand dollars, money he had been saving up for his own college education. Ben quickly promised to pay him back. He moved out of his small Ontarian home and moved west, hoping his application to the University of British Columbia was accepted. A week after moving to Vancouver, he got a letter from the University say that he was accepted! He spent four long and hard years vigorously training and learning to become a doctor. On the fourth year, during a break in his studies, he decided to take a plane ride home to tell his family how good he was doing in all his classes! On the second day at his old home, the monsters started showing up. He and his family were forced into the city of Toronto, where they lived for a year, in fear of the creatures outside. Then the Combine came and he was separated from his family, only remaining with his brother. They were both shipped off to City 45. They were quietly talking aboard the train when Tyler was struck with an amazing idea! To jump off the train and live in the wilderness. Tyler wanted to do this because he heard he was to be amputated when he got there, due to his hunting expertise. But Ben was too scared and after a long argument Tyler jumped out by himself, leaving Ben alone on the train, heading into the city, scared. When he got there, he quickly relived that it would be safer here, then it was before and that the ‘CCA’ would protect them, and because he was so grateful to be alive, he did whatever he could to help the newfound ‘Union’. Over time, he slowly forgot about his brother and i worked hard to enter the CWU., for he really wanted to help the union better. Over time, he slowly got bored of the CWU, since they didn't do as much as he thought they did, so he began looking into the CCA, when one day he finally got the courage to survive.

7. What is your most memorable quality RP experience?
When one of my characters became a brutal attacker agianst CWU workers, attacking two of them, one of them three times, almost killing him. It created really fun and interesting RP for all of us, mainly for me and the CWU worker, but for other workers, fearing me, and also some MedRP for the worker that almost died, as well as another. I, of course asked the workers in advance and did not powergame. It was a very memorable experience, for not just me, but I'm pretty sure for everyone involved.

But, only being a worker, I find that I can't help as much as I possibly could. So, I turn to the CCA to unleash my full potential and be able to help the citizens, and mainly the Universal Union. I really hope I can get accepted, for I truly want to serve the Union.

It Would be really cool if you could add a day/night circle, which would add even more immersion then just night. If you can't then I suggest night because the day time map is a little to happy for my tastes. Also, looking at the tid-bit of pictures, it's looking pretty good. Also 100% agreement on the 'mapping is an art' thing.

I don't understand the clinic members part, but if your thinking any of my characters were/are clinic members, they aren't/weren't.
