Whenever I join a server with v33x, my game just disappears when I hit sending client info.

Never had this problem before, but I find this strange.

Hmmm, have you done the norm trouble shoot shit like validate you stuff. or look in console for error messages?

Delete the map and its content, and download it. See if that works.

might have to do the good old r_hunkalloclightmaps 0 trick to see if that works
