I suggest the purchase of a tablet if you want to up the quality of these, along with that perhaps a program like Photoshop CS5. Though this is pretty nice for paint- I program which I believe to be a cancerous creation (I'm so terrible at it).

That's a great recommendation for any artist, but you can actually get pretty good at MSPaint with just a mouse. Just gotta doodle enough.

My lady uses a tablet. Says its a bit difficult to get used to. Shes getting good with it though. Its like learning to type i guess. She uses one without a screen. Just a black board kind of thing.

Paint is a guilty pleasure for me because any thing I draw in it has a quirky style to it.
Compared to my anime style freehand.

Just to add in this won't help Toxic for imgur links, all it does is load the imgur image and show it on the forum, it shouldn't stop it being blocked~
