Violet Collins

Violet flinches awake to the sound of someone talking next door. Lazily opening one eye, she examines the room she's in. Dimly lit, stained walls, door open a crack. It must be morning by now. She rolls over slightly, looking out the dirty thatched window. It's still raining a bit and the clouds still cover the gloomy skies of the morning. There's enough light to see the familiar land around the Inn.

She hears voices again and rolls back over, looking blankly out the cracked door, this time with both eyes half open. She feels a sense of relief as she hears three distinct voices. One of them she heard the night before but the other two, these were new. She relaxes again, knowing that two more people made it to the inn safetly. Violet rolls over, checks to see if her knife is still there, and stuffs her face into the pillow, falling back into a light, morning sleep.

Beans groans as he hears Eli, unzipping his sleeping bag. He sets his Mossberg to the side, grabbing one of the three radios sitting in the Wilson's stockpile beneath Beef's feet. He begins to speak quietly, as not to disturb those still resting.

I am goin' back there, and don't you try to convince me otherwise. I got shit in there that needs to be taken out.

Beans reaches for the stockpile, grabbing his pants and pulling them on. He clips his grenade, car keys and radio onto the belt holes of his pants. Afterwards, he pulls on his old and tattered C18 jumpsuit jacket, covering his tattooed and scarred body, then grabbing his Mossberg, trudging outside through the damp grass to the parking lot where he tosses his Mossberg onto the passenger seat and climbs in.

Makin' my way to the cottage over the cliff path.

Beans gradually zig-zags his way around rocks and trees to the edge of the cliff overlooking his cottage, pulling his keys from his car and climbing out into the bitter cold rain. He slowly makes his way down the cliff, slipping a bit nearing the end and toppling into the mud. Eventually he wades his way through the flooded water into his cottage, trying to salvage his cigarettes, booze, and canned food from his cupboards. As he gets back to his car with his salvaged food, drink and novelties, he begins edging his way back to the inn.

As Beans trails back to the Inn in his vehicle, the storm becomes harder, leaving his car stuck in the mud. Lightning strikes down on the valley as the wind becomes faster with each passing second, with no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Beans is now effectively stuck mid-way to the Inn, and will need to find or improvise shelter. Fast

Radios suffer from a slight interference as the storm rages on. Making trekking outside of the Inn or any building/shelter an unsure bet against nature.

Meanwhile, near the town of Belles, Edwin Harkness stumbles blindly down the street slope towards the Inn; dazed and confused and his apparel soaked, he throws open the double doors and proceeds to wring out his jacket on the floor. Edwin then turns and closes the doors behind him, he then realizes he may have woken some of the people still sleeping in the Inn but he does not let that get in the way of things as he moves through the Inn, looking for any supplies that could be lying around without an owner/the owner isn't attending to the items. After a number of fruitless minutes, he falls asleep due to his exhaustion on the floor under the stairs, in his drenched jacket, completely at once.

34370's current phys desc: Dried, but moist, bandage on main body. Hairs on body beginning to poke out. Spider-like legs that curl in. Stained fangs.

Out of Character for OOC:
// This happens a little after Jo meets up with Will
As the storm continues to rage on, little 34370's eyes open one by one. The headcrab makes something which seems like some odd cross between a yawn and a snarl, loud enough for it to be faintly heard by anyone in the lobby or upstairs. He lightly stretches forward in ways similar to a cat, before scurrying out from under the stairs towards the lobby area. The headcrab makes a light sniff of the air, the famliar, meaty-like substance is gone, but the other, more mysterious one is still present. With that, the poison headcrab continues to scurry towards the lobby, still too groggy to think of the possible dangers. He makes his way in through the back of the lobby, passing by the basement staircase. The headcrab bends down slightly, shaking his rump before leaping forward onto the counter (assuming no ones in front of him). The headcrab lies perched on top of the counter, surveying its surrondings, but only being able to spot two prone figures by the fire.

**Stumbling through the open door is a man disguised completely by bandages, donned a heavy coat and a pair of blackout goggles. He looks, almost fruitlessly, through the inn's interior before spotting Eli.**

Simon: Stalker, we have to speak about the coming cold, and some events going on outside of the valley. Some of my patients who have been passing through have been giving me disturbing reports concerning caravan raids, and the weather farther up north is worse.

Beef lazily wakes up and looks around to see Beans is missing. This doesn't worry him, being able to take care of himself. Turning to the stockpile he searches for some whiskey. Finding nothing Beef looks to Meaty seeing him fast asleep, for now. Though Beef may be an adult he still thinks himself to be a guardian for his younger brother Meaty, being the reckless person his is and all.

Being stuck in the Inn wasn't something Beef wanted to make a habit. Most people didn't like the Wilsons and as such, Beef began to fix up his MP7 and check if his silencer was still there. Not much to his suprise was that everything was there.

Sadly, it wasn't long before old habits began to come back.....

As one of the prone figures begins to rise, 34370 jumps back, making a startled squeaking sound. It lands with a soft thump against the wooden table, and the headcrabs posture stiffens in caution as a result. Its fangs lightly sucking in and out from underneath it as the headcrab breathes heavily, the sides of its 'mouth' lightly pushing in and out as it breathes.

I know Simon... But we've got bigger things to worry about right now.

Eli looks out the window for a moment, taking a gander at the storm outside

Shit... Beans should be back by now.. I'm going to radio contact him. Hang on.

He quickly moves to the Radio set on the counter, turning the "Repeat recorded message" off and trying to contact Beans through it, realising 34370 is there in the process.

What t- Hey. Easy down now, Humper.

He tries to calm down the headcrab as he reaches for the radio control. Finally trying to send a message through it, but he gets nothing but static.

Ah shit... Just bloody perfect... Radio's not working.

As 34370 hears the familar voice, his focus on the other two strangers is gone as he squeaks with delight, it seems the little bugger is happy to see a familar face, or scent in this case. The headcrab's rump wags back and forth in similar manner to a dogs tail wag. The word 'Beans' seems to strike as familar to the tiny headcrabs mind, as he tilts his body to the side slightly for a moment, before going back to his 'rump wagging'.

Beans leans back in his car, being there for a good amount of time now. He tried to pass time by chain smoking some of the dry cigarettes, and eating cold beans. In the distance, a figure in a 'Mongols Motorcycle Club' leather vest adjusted his backpack, making his way through the thick mud to the muscle car. As he neared, he noticed the stockpile of supplies in the back seat, along with the stiff figure of a man sitting at the drivers seat, a man he presumed to be dead. He pulled out his baton, flicking it out and tapping on the window. Inside, Beans thought nothing of it except as larger rain droplets. The biker began tugging on the car's door handle, Beans heard the door creaking open, and grabbed his Mossberg, aiming out the passenger door. As the biker tore the door away from the mud, he was greeted with a shotgun to the face.

What the fuck...

The fuck you doin' here in the middle of a storm, boy?

Lookin' for shelter...

Bullshit. Well if you keep to yerself and don't try nothin', you can stay in here.

No promises.

The thickset biker got in the rusty muscle car, passing time with Beans by sharing stories and eating canned food with Beans.

Beef snapped awake, looking at his hands to see they are lightly shaking. The first sign of his Withdrawal . Ever since the cities he'd been a cannibal, addicted to the meat, a key factor being nothing else to really eat in the slums. But since his time living in the Outlands he's been slowly booting it. He still had some 'cured' meat  for rationing during the months when it got bad. Sadly, he lost it during the storm and had no substitute.

Beef wasn't stupid enough to attack anyone in the Inn, so he tried taking his mind off of it by walking around the Inn. After some time he felt a bit light headed. He began calling for his brother, someone he knew that could help.[/i]

"Beans? Beans you around here?"

He soon stumbled downstairs seeing two men by the radio, not focused enough to try and identify them. He called again,"Beans?!"

Beef looked quite uneasy trying to hold himself together.

A woman in a brown jacket looks down at the inn, her hair swaying violently in amongst the wind. The endless stream of water beats down along her person, but she remains like a solid pole in the midst of it all. She stares forward, forward at the Inn, observing. As she watches, her facial expression changes to reflect her mood, but an evident theme of a greater choice shows. She takes a deep breath, and reaches into her now soaking jacket, withdrawing a radio.

"Mark, Im headed in."

The woman slides the radio back into it's place of safety against the onslaught of the storm before proceeding to adjust the bow nested along her back. She takes a deep breath, pushing her way through the storm towards the Inn's front door. As she reaches it, she ponders for a few more brief moments before nodding to herself, pushing through the doors.

Violet Collins

Violet wakes again, this time to the sound of rain heavily beating against the window. She opens her eyes again, surprised to find it darker then it was before. Violet quickly examines the room, darker now, door still open a crack, rucksack in the same position it was before. She slowly sits up, stretching and looking out the window.

Violet stares at the insane weather outside for several minutes before turning to plant her feet on the cold wood floor. She pushes herself off the bed and lazily opens the door, walking out with nothing but her dirty socks. Violet proceeds down the steps and into the lobby. She's wearing her tan cargos, a dirt stained white t-shirt, and some discolored socks. Her hair is a mess from sleeping and she looks like she just woke up. Violet proceeds to the two men standing by the radio. She hesitates, seeing the headcrab, but soon realizes who (or what in this case) it is by the bandage and non hostile activity of it.

"Eh. Wh- Morning guys." She smiles at the familiar face (or figure and wrapped face) of Simon. "Haven't seen you in ages Simon. Eli. What's going on? Storm's getting worse?"
