Hello. Please suspend your disbelief a moment and think this...

If the Universal Union was to actually invade in... three years, what would you do?

To me, my goals would be simple:

-Survive the War
-Survive the processing
-Survive relocation
-Enlist in the Civil Authority because it's the motherfucking Civil Authority!

The whole thing would be pretty bleak as I imagine; a cruel and dark life filled with violence and pain, real nasty stuff. I imagine a realistic union where we are never allowed to remove our masks around anyone, there are no divisions and all are orders come anonymously from Dispatch. We don't even know the units who work along side us and any chatting leads to a swift and lethal punishment. Even knowing this is what the Union would be like I would prefer it to life as a citizen. What would you do if the events of the Half-Life canon actually occurred?

Well, as soon as word spread about the UU invading through portal storms, I would most likely hide in my closet with food and my dog (Even though she would probably be violently butchered after we we're found). After being found, and taken to a processing center (Assuming I'm the age of 18, which I dear god hope I am by then), I would live life as a normal citizen until signing up for the CCA. Although life would be extremely bleak, it would probably be better then being a starving, malnourished, beaten-on-a-daily basis citizen.

If the union was to invade I'd resist, Just like if anyone invaded american be it Russia or China I'd resist.

Its not a matter of "Lol we'd be crushed" Its a matter of there's no point in screwing over your fellow man and in the end, screwing humanity as a whole.

And also, Hl2 is 20 years after the seven hour war. So most likely they didn't kill children, they just fucking grew up.

So I'd just run off into some isolated area (some forest). Live life like that, hopefully meet up with people. I'd be pretty fucking scary, but if everything was canon in the invasion, then I'd just wait for Gordon Freeman. Otherwise, I'd try to sneak into a city (a small one, as I'm guessing they would have less defenses and I'd be easier to get into it. From there, I would transport people out of the city and into "The Outlands".

If I was 18 by then.

I'd just join the CCA/MPF (whatever they would call it), as I wouldn't be malnourished and such. Not much else really.
