Character Section

Authorization(s):
I'm applying to have private security experience on my main character, James McKinnley. Meaning that he was a member of a Private Military Company similar to Academi (Blackwater's new-fangled name).

I don't expect you to give this privilege away without any proof of my ability to be serious, and my abilities at roleplaying, so it's my intention to prove that to you through a short-story based on James' past as a Private Security Specialist, which you will find later below in the app.

Name: James McKinnley
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Affiliation: CCA

Write a detailed in-canon back-story how your character obtained these authorizations.
(By the way, I put CCA seeing as he wishes to become a CCA, not that he IS a CCA unit.)

James squinted out from the starboard side of the ship, the hot Caribbean sun beating down on his burned, red features. He was still a young man, only 21 years old at the time, having barely seen anything of the world yet, still with his own naiive view on right and wrong, as the way a child would look at the world. He'd just graduated from the Windbolt Private Security academy, and now found himself in their employment on a merchant vessel bound for Somali, a hotspot for pirate activities, where it could still go unhindered. He heard the beat of the waves breaking against the sleek keel of the vessel, felt the rolling motion of it's ride on the rough waters deep in the pit of his stomach. He wanted to vomit, getting pale from his deep hatred of seafaring. The only reason he took the assignment is because it was the only one Windbolt had available at the moment, and he needed the cash, and experience the job would provide to be tooken seriously for better positions.

He leaned on the railing with his left hand, taking it from the foregrip of his M4A1 Assault carbine, straining himself not to vomit out into the dark blue waters. He heard footsteps on the deck to his left and looked, squinting against the glare of the sun at his commanding officer.
"Going to get sick again, Mr. McKinnley?" his superior asked, amused.

James did his best to deny it, his flushed and pale features betraying his ill feelings. His commanding officer for this ride was a stern man, one of experience. His comrades told him that the man was a Navy Seal, and was honorably discharged with a purple heart after a wound he sustained on a special op, but yet still wanted to get back into the fray of things. James, in his naiive way, looked up to him for this, something the veteran would probably find absurd, worshipping someone because they were shot in some war that they couldn't even explain to their family.
His superior chuckled, giving him a sturdy pat on the back.

"You'll get your seafaring legs under you soon, I'll wager. Or at least you better, if you want to shoot any pirates today."
James nodded weakly, the young man still eager for 'Action'...

He wasn't prepared for what he'd get that day.

Only a few minutes later, his radio crackled, making him look up from the waves at which he'd been staring. He pulled his radio up from his belt as his superior officer barked "A skip's coming in, port side!"

James' heart had stopped beating for a moment with excitement, he dashed around the captain's cabin to see his superior officer and the other two private security specialists  standing behind one of the 'fortifications' the men had layed from sandbags earlier in the voyage. He stood there, motionless as his superior stared at him, as if James was some incurable form of dumb and stupid.

"McKinnley, get your weapon hot and get over here!" He finally barked.

James flushed a deep red and scurried to obey, getting on one knee and flipping his rifle off of safety, laying the barrel shroud on the sandbags to support the weapon and taking deep breaths, steadying his breathing to be ready to fire.

...

The small motorboat grew closer, on a direct crash collision course with the side of the ship. Closer, and closer, it skipped across the water, breaking waves against it's side, for what seemed like minutes to McKinnley, but were only seconds. Just a moment later, as James could hear the sound of it's motor over the quiet crash of the waves came his superior, in a calm, icy tone.

"Fire."

The rattle of gunfire and brass bouncing across the clean deck of the ship echo'd in his ears. James didn't know which was more deafening, the sound of his own weapon, or the three ones next to him. Gouts of ocean spray jetted into the air as bullets slapped the dark waters, deflecting off of the boat, and even more giving a puff of grey mist as it punched through the fiberglass exterior. James kept firing, wincing from the gunshots until the small boat slammed into the side of the vessel with a dull thud, before slowly drifting away into the wake of the merchant ship.

But not before James saw the bodies. Four men were in the motor boat. Their bodies, torn asunder by gunfire, sticky, wet blood staining the white ship, their dead or soon to be eyes staring up at him, the last thing they'd ever see. He immediately keeled over the side of the ship and vomited out into the water. He felt his fellow comrades watching him, and wiped his mouth dizzily with the back of his sleeve, before turning to face them.

They were all stone faced. Uncaring, for the death they just dealt. James suddenly felt sick again, stumbling his way back into his quarters. His comrades' vain attempts to comfort him along the rest of the voyage didn't help. He'd seen everything he ever needed to of combat.

As soon as they reached harbor, he punched his ticket, flew back home and quit, living alone in a quiet job as an unarmed security guard.

This man is a stand alone idol in many communities, he has experience, and a really amazing personality. Saying no to this application would be like punching a special needs person (Not very good morally)

I've seen your RP and I believe that you can hold this role with minimal drama being created.

I'd really like any of the other administration's input who've seen me roleplaying on the server, be it good or bad, I value your opinions, and I need them to be shared if there's something I need to improve upon, or if I'm to be accepted for this auth.

I just do not want this to go by without some serious consideration on the staff's part, sorry if I sound a bit demanding saying that, but it's true.

Looks like a great application, I see your familiarisation with the English Language, makes narratives a lot more enticing ;).

ACCEPTED

By the way, although your history was quite intruiging, most of the skills you are taught with-in your first two ranks as a Civil Protection Unit.

- Good Luck with the CCA.
