OCRP2 Pre-Update News

Well, the poll has outstanding results. Almost 90% of the vote is to switch. So, we are switching.

A few important notes:
- GET THE TDM WORKSHOP PACK OR SVN! SVN link at the bottom of the page, and the SVN is recommended. There is a guide to TortiseSVN in the OCRP guide section.
- We are also going to utilize SentryGunMan's cars. I have compiled them into a collection for easier downloading. Link at the bottom
- There are also a few surprises in store for the update.

FAQ: (aka the "if its in here and you ask again you're getting a forum ban" section)
Will my cars be refunded?
Yes.

Will my upgrades be refunded?
No. But why? I'm not making a system to refund maybe 80k per car that would take me more time than needed to do when I could be working on other shit. Plus you don't need that refunded.

What is this "car credit"?
Car credit is the refund method of the cars. You can only use it on cars, and it is in addition to your bank. It will display at the car dealer when buying a car. It can only be used to buy a car, not rent or upgrade.

Is X car being added?
Probably. But if you continue to ask, I may just happen to forget about it.

When will it come out?
Fuck if I know. By my calculations I have around 40 more hours of work to put into the cars to make them perfect, and most of that is seat positions. Thats in addition to the probably equal amount of time put into it already. And this last part only I can do, no one can really help due to how it works.

Alright, so I've had this idea lately as to what to do with the cars. I've been looking at all the TDM cars and the sickness cars and frankly, I want to switch to TDM. But its the community at large who would be choosing.

If we were to switch:
- Cars that have a equivalent or near equivalent with TDM will be replaced. (with a few exceptions such as govt and mules/yankees)
- Cars that do not will be removed.
- Anyone who has a car that is removed will be refunded the value of the car.
- People will need to get the TDM svn or workshop files
- I would add more cars than if we were not switching
- Almost every car will be HQ.

If we were not to switch:
- A few TDM cars will be added
- It will be recommended to get the SVN or workshop but it will be integrated into the current content pack.
- Only a few cars would be HQ. Sickness cars would feel out of place

This will be an ongoing poll until I think theres enough input. Feel free to post what you think.

Guides / [OCRP2 How-To] Issue a Tow Order and repair a car

So you are a tow truck driver and someone calls you to get their car repaired? Once you have the car at the tow yard, press F3 on the vehicle (works better on drivers side) and input an amount up to 1500 (remember, a repair costs 1k) and then the person will accept or deny it. If they accept, talk to the repair NPC and get the car repaired.

Note: Taking money and not repairing will result in a ban and blacklist.

Someone feel free to prettify this. It's just a quick thing I did cause its new.

Update 11 is going live. Included in this update are various updates to the Tow Truck system, repair system, and a few additions to other systems.

This update combines the two servers into one. The one server is the same IP as the former OCRP2 server and has 60 slots, 5 of which are for admins.

The following are the major parts of the update:
- Added F3 when in tow yard to issue a tow order for a vehicle. Max of 1500 to be charged to players. Similar to police tickets.
- Added body armor to police at level 3, and increased it with each level.
- Added a small amount of body armor to the mayor
- Moved grabbing ear anim from typing to when on the phone or talking on radio
- Modified jail when arrested with a warrant. Changed it to 1.5 instead of 3 times the length and doubled bail.
- Upped police playtime requirements. Doubled each time requirement.
- Increased pay, added pay scale to police, and added pay incentives to all jobs not citizen
- Change the repair NPC to only work for tow drivers
- Lowered citizen pay to only pay every other government check
- Fines/Tow Orders can be paid from the bank if your wallet does not have enough money.

- Increased pay, added pay scale to police, and added pay incentives to all jobs not citizen
- The kevlar will only appear on citizens, not on SWAT or any other job
- Change the repair NPC to only work for tow drivers
- Fixed SS siren
- Lowered citizen pay to only pay every other government check
- Fines/Tow Orders can be paid from the bank if your wallet does not have enough money.
- Dead people can't hear live people talking.

This update will be live when the server reports version 11. As always please report all bugs in the Bug Report section.

An update was just released for OCRP2 to address a major exploit in the ticketing system.

Changelog - Post 10.9 Release (Release version: Bugfix 10.10)
- Removed missing ATV skins that resulted in invisible atvs
- Fixed apartment 202 missing one door
- Fixed MAJOR exploit with police ticketing
- Added a 250 limit to fines
- Fixed chiefs not being able to ticket
- Fixed handcuffs being lockpicked and not giving hands/keys
- Modified Police Taser (lowered delay)

This will be put live within the next 20 minutes. Once the scoreboard and ocrp2_version report 10.10 it is live.

I know there have been a few minor updates for Version 10 (this being the second in 24 hours,) but I really like this one.

For those who are unaware, a Minor Update is a update that adds a feature or changes one majorly, but does not warrant a full version increase. Generally a minor update jumps a few points (such as this one going from 10.6 to 10.9.) A Bugfix update is just to address bugs and is always a single point increase (10.5 to 10.6)

Included in this minor update is the following:
- Removed auto-warrant if no chief/mayor (called an invalid function)
- Added warrant system for Police Sergeant (via F1 menu, and can accept warrant requests if no mayor/chief is on)
- Added notice to all police/swat/mayor when a warrant is issued or removed
- Changed warrants to look for a chief first instead of a mayor. Mayor should only handle warrants if no chief is on.
- Added warrant reasons and logging for admins. All warrant requests and submissions require a reason before being able to be processed.
- Fixed extinguishers model.
- Fixed cancelling SA-initiated restarts. Low player restarts cannot be cancelled yet.
- Fixed Police Chief not getting any weapons.
- Reverted a change from 10.6 with joints that caused lua errors.

This update will be live when OCRP2_Version and the scoreboard report 10.9

As long as no bugs are reported in this version that require immediate fixes, this should be the last update of the 10.x series. Update 11 will probably be coming out this weekend.

OCRP2 Bugfix 10.6 addresses a few issues with the latest minor update.

The following are the changes:
- (Admin) Entity Info shows shroom planter
- Car gastanks are fixed and working properly. The garage shows the proper gas amount and you can fill it properly.
- Hands are fixed, cannot sprint with heavy items or bodies
- Cars now show if you are the owner
- Breaking handcuffs now should work as intended
- You now emit a sound when receiving a text instead of sending it
- Small update to a few weapons

When OCRP2_Version reports 10.6 the update is live.

I am releasing a minor update in the next little bit. This is not enough to warrant a full jump so I am just increasing the number to 10.5

Included in this update are numerous fixes and a few additions which include:
- Gas Tank upgrade is fully fixed. It will show the proper gas amount both at the pump and at the car spawner.
- Physcannon (gravgun) is now removed. Hands are able to pick up items and ragdolls (yes, you can hide ragdolls now. players will spawn where the ragdoll is if unconcious.) NOTE: Abusing hands will result in a ban.
- Demotions are logged when done by an admin. If it does not say you were demoted by an admin, the mayor is the one who demoted you.

This update is being pushed live right now. Please report any bugs found into the OCRP2 Bug Reports section and I will take care of them.

OCRP2 Bug Fix 10.2 has just been pushed to the servers.

This includes:
- Fixing playtime (medic and firefighter were not counting up)
- Added police ranking to scoreboard
- Added job playtime
- Reformatted the playtime to show hours and minutes in addition to days
- Fixed police level causing an error with the shotgun
- Fixed blowing down doors
- Cars actually get damaged by fire now
- Cars got fixed.
- A few other minor fixes I can't remember.

As soon as servers report 10.2 the update is live.

A new update for OCRP2 has just been released. The following is the changelog:

Fixed Bugs:
- Admin Notice broken partially (fixed in unannounced hotfix to update 9.2)
- OTB broken partially (fixed in unannounced hotfix to update 9.2)
- F3 broken in most cases (fixed in unannounced hotfix to update 9.2)
- Increased delay on NPC use to hopefully fix menu issue
- Removed AFK hintspam
- Not getting proper guns as police level x on a respawn/revive
- Fixed mayor atms not working

Changed Features:
- Added a countdown timer to the existing map timers
- Changed AFK timer to 10 minutes from 10 minutes and 10 seconds
- Added a kick to the AFK timer that will kick after 30 minutes of being marked AFK
- Altered the shotgun code for police and swat to allow blowing down the currently unkillable doors
- Vehicles now takes gas whenever your engine is on. Before you had to drive above 5 mph to loose gas
- You can no longer equip dual hands weapons if your arms are broken. Such as mp5, ak, m4, tmp, shotgun, mac 10 and so on. Pistols and melee weapons still works.
- Organizations can now only have 10 players in them to prevent one org from basically ruling the server in terms of population. Passive organizations can apply to a developer or owner to bypass the organization member limit. The org must STRICTLY stick to passive RP when working as an org, and the members must spend the majority of the time promoting passive RP (be it government jobs, stores, etc.) This does not restrict the ability to grow, just disallows the org from doing mass crimerp as an org.
- You can no longer exit cars if you are handcuffed and there is a driver.
- Engines stay on until you turn them off. They will use gas.
- Updated FSA to operate more efficiently on strikeouts. Also updated the admin disguise system

Added Features:
- Job playtime
- Police levels based on police playtime
- Various police features modified to only be allowed when you are police level x (more info to come)
- Added a low player restart (begins a map restart timer when the server drops below 15 players)
- Added rotating server notices. They appear for 60 seconds and a new one comes up every 3 minutes
- Players that are zip-tied will show like handcuffed
- AFK players now have the countdown for when they will be kicked in the center of their screen
- Added blacklist for driving. If blacklisted from driving, you cannot spawn a car nor drive another players car. You are also blacklisted from tow truck and bus driver.
- If you try to withdraw/deposit more money than you have, it will withdraw/deposit everything you have in your wallet/bank and notify you about that.
- Added /forums, /google, and /youtube. You must be looking at a computer to use these.

Model Updates:
- New shirt option is avaliable for all players
- Faces are updated to look a bit more realistic and have more character. They use a new model path, so all models have been updated in the database.
- Police now have the level insignia on their uniform
- Tow Driver, Bus Driver, and SWAT added models

News and Announcements / OCRP2 Guides Needed

Hey everyone. I'm currently working on a massive update to the job system on OCRP2 and I need guides for each job.

The current jobs needed are:
- Police
- Police Chief
- Dispatcher
- Medic
- Mayor
- Secret Service
- SWAT
- Tow Truck Driver
- Bus Driver

For each guide made, if it gets added to the final system I am working on, you will be given up to 20k ingame (dependent on how much final editing and additions need to be done on my part to finish it for the system to have accurate information)

Each guide must have (in this order):
- An excerpt of the rules for that specific job
- The location to get the job and the vehicle for the job
- The description of the job
- The purpose of the job
- Chat commands and keys used by the job and what they do
- Any other important information (such as how medics or firefighters cannot charge to heal a player or put out a fire)

For certain things such as the specifics of the police leveling system, or things that have been planned/added but not announced they will not affect the outcome of my choice as I am still working on them and they change almost daily.

I'd like to have this done for update 10 so the quicker the guides get submitted the quicker you can hope for a release. Not to say it will be withheald until the guides are done, but I may lower the amount you may get after update 10 goes live.

All you need to do is post the guide with the title [OCRP2] <Job name> Guide in the guide section. Just because someone else posted a guide does not mean you shouldn't. I will look at every guide and choose the best one.

Bugfix 9.1 has just been applied to the servers. It will go live when they restart.

This fixes the shop bug and a few other smaller bugs. Once OCRP2_Version says 9.1 it has restarted and is live

We are nearing completion for OCRP2 Update 9. Due to the massiveness of this update we need to take servers down for approx. 15 minutes.  This will occur at or around 1am EST (server time in the status box area) which is around 5 hours from this post

This downtime will ensure that all the models are added properly and that the servers are fully set up for all the various updates being applied.

Update 9 is right around the corner. And because it is so awesome, this post is being made HOURS before it's even considered to be released.

That's right folks, the Big Sexy Model Update, an update probably very few of you have heard about, is now here! We have an entirely new system for models, clothes, and job models. But don't worry, everything looks the same to you all. The difference is the models now allow us to keep the same model and face when switching jobs. So I have spent the past couple hours working on getting this system perfected so that we could best use these amazing models given to us. With the exception of SWAT you will now keep your model when switching jobs. The only thing to change will be clothes.

There are 15 seperate base models to choose from. Each model will have 5 sets of clothes, 1 of which is gold member only. There are 9 male models and 6 female models to choose from.

Speaking of the clothes. Every model has 5 different sets of clothing, the same for each model that is male and the same for all female models. And the awesome thing is that these models were made with our coloring system in mind, so each model has colorable features (except jobs of course).

When you join the server for the first time once this update is actually released you will be prompted to select one of the new models. It is just like going to the model changer at the hospital, but FREE! And in honor of this momentous occasion all model changes are half off. So what was 10k is now 5k for the next week or so.

In addition, the clothes that are normally $2,500 for a set are now going on sale for $1,250 for this weekend in celebration of this update. Please know that all wardrobes will be reset when this update releases due to the difference in models. No refunds will be given of anything in the wardrobes.

But wait, this update has more than just new models! That's right folks. In addition to the models we have fixed numerous bugs as well as added in a few new features. For administrators we have created a new admin notice system that works like aadvert on HRP or abroadcast on HL2RP. Administrators can use the command /anotice to issue a server administrator notice.

Other features added included an improvement to the Operation Turtle Beach system. In addition to the hints when activated, it will show in the middle of the screen for around 10 seconds, and then it will also show if you are in a vehicle right above your info bars at the bottom of your screen.

Speaking of vehicles, this update brings us the introduction to vehicle starting systems. This is still just a rough system but it works. When you get in your vehicle it will not start automatically. You must press your reload bind (default r) and then it will start. But beware, carbombs will not go off until the engine is started as they require the starter to ignite for it to explode.

Some smaller things to note: The scoreboard has been given a small update. It now shows what server you are in when you press tab, both in the lower right hand corner and next to the player count at the top. Also, the RP name and job are on separate lines, and the avatar has been reduced slightly to give more for the outline of the job color. Also, the job name on the scoreboard is colored the same as the jobs colors to help make it stand out.

Also changed in this update was the actions of /advert and /it. They no longer show the name in the actual chat. So an advert will show "(ADVERT): Come on down!" and an /it will show "** An erie sound is heard." (similar to HL2RP.) In addition, /admin is now able to be used without the chat saying dmin.

There is one other thing being worked on, but it may not appear in this update. The Mayor donation box is showing a return but is being worked on to offer the best possible opportunity without ruining the economy system by an influx of money to the mayor.

There will be no overall changelog posted as this about does it. The rest of the day will be spent sleeping, then fixing it up when I wake up. When this is released another thread will be posted.

Please PLEASE download the files prior to joining the server. We will hopefully have them on a download system but it is not guaranteed. There will be a hint ingame for the next few days once it is released stating the fact as well.

A new update has just been released to the servers.  The following is what is included in the update:

Spoiler for Hiden:
- Fixed door issue with double doors
- Fixed Amber Room not owning all doors when buying it
- Added Secret Service only vehicle with lights and sirens. This can be gotten from the same chick that gives PD their cars.
- Allowed Secret Service to use police pc
- Made max Secret Service 2 when there are more than 20 players on
- Added new radio functionality. Pressing F2 on a radio sets it to go back a station, and F4 turns it off. Sorry everyone who made a radio a sign, you'll have to use something else.
- Modified a few car scripts
- Fixed a issue where a police officer could use the pc at any distance from the vehicle as long as there was line of sight
- Fixed police radio still being usable when the item is removed.
- Fixed Secret Service being able to join the job when there is no mayor.
- Added vehicles to the showroom floor
- Added new ConVar "OCRP2_RadioVolume" which allows you to set the volume of radios from 0 (off) to 100 (full volume)
- Added a slider in options to modify the volume of the radio
- Set up permanent radio in Izzies set to CFM
- Added colored physguns based on rank. Uses same color as the scoreboard colors.
- Fixed police not respawning with their proper gear.

The update will be live when the servers restart. Once OCRP2_Version says 8 then the server is up to date.
