Sorry don't make the mistake that I believe in any way that the world was created 200 years ago by mushrooms. And yes I leave by the door but the window exit is still possible, its just unlikely I would take that path.

General Discussion / Re: Religion and Relationships« on: March 15, 2012, 12:20:09 PM »I meant Christianity AND Islam.and I think that the religions of the middle east(If you don't know them all think of all the ones that have started wars in the last 3000 years over religion) Don't forget Judaism! They have been around for almost 5000 years in the middle east (debatable on when it was actually a religion with structure). But yeah Christianity was implied because that's where it ultimately started. Its just a spin off of Judaism created by St Paul (that is right. Jesus was a Jew and his disciples were Jews until they died. It was Paul who drove other followers after Jesus died towards a new religion. If it wasn't for him its possible we would all still be Jewish, at least the Christians that is.) Anyway that's beside the point. I love to read peoples ideas on religion but all in all its a pointless game. Unfortunately in life nothing (and I mean nothing) is certain. Quite literately fact does not exist. Its just down to likely hood of something occurring. For example: We were created 200 years ago by space shrooms who appeared from a cooking pot in modern day and time traveled. These space shrooms laid down the path for everything and define how we worked. By the time you finish reading this the world will end. Now this is unlikely. But at the same time not impossible. Why? Because in all certainty no one was alive 200 years ago to dispute. Still you would be insane to believe it because all the odds are against it happening. For modern day theories its the same. Gravity may not exist, its unlikely, but it could be a lie. The point I'm trying to make (as insane as it is) is that religion is possible. It cannot be disproved, nothing can (In a sense). Its also possible that science is 100% accurate at the moment. But it might not be. If you get what I'm saying. IMO the only thing that is impossible is us trying to disprove/prove religion. 140
General Discussion / Re: Best moments in Half-Life 2 roleplay or Orange Cosmos roleplay?« on: March 09, 2012, 06:11:05 PM »
My best moment on OCRP was my one man raid against the fallen Brotherhood. I had some friends with me but they got no kills them selves. All I used was my trusty mp5 and my keen eye, the raid started at subs 1. We knocked down the door and I got behind my corvette, I began ducking and weaving and just taking them out with ease. Shortly into the raid the 2 police officers arrived and I went on to take them out as well. My car go blown up so I no longer had any cover but I still managed to take them out. After 6 of them had been killed one of them decided to come out and try take me down. Unfortunately for him, I was too quick. All that was left was Crazy (The owner) and 4 finger (The co-owner) and I ran in taking them both out.
All in all I had a succession of 8 kills against them (and 1 friendly fire on their side) and 2 kills against cops. It was a very good day I have had some other good raids as well. p.s these are not exaggerations, I single handedly took out 10 armed players (which makes up 1/4 of the server online) 141
Social Discussion / Re: How to Convince my Friends that Communism isn't evil?« on: March 05, 2012, 01:15:59 PM »a lot of people associate communism with Stalin, Hitler, China, and other countries/people that use it as an excuse to do horrible things and suppress their people. The reason why Americans hate/dislike Communism is because we've had so many ban encounters with it, a lot of wars against Communism. Just going to point out that Hitler was super anti-communism In fact his SA used to fight communists on the street before he was elected and the fact that he stood up to the communist threat gained him power. Also I think Americas anti-communist roots come from their paranoia in the cold war. Both governments were so suspicious of each other and so were the people, back then many Americans would have believed communism was the evil thing of the east but I suppose back then Soviet Russia could have tried to destroy them at any moment. If someone pointed a gun at your head all the time but would not fire, he just had it there; you would think poorly of him. The difference is today communist countries are not aiming their nukes at American and are not trying to "take over the world". It could be argued that soviet Russia under Stalin was trying to take over the world. I think any hatred towards communism today is just the fallout of the Red scare. 142

Hmmm communism is definitley flawed. But so is democracy? To say that the ideology itself is "evil" just seems down right, well stupid. The theory of communism (remember it is only a theory, as lots of people said it hasn't been done) ecourages every one to be equal; everyon would have equal rights and equal pay, pretty much no one would be unemployed or living in poverty (less than 1$ a day I think).
If you were going to say an ideology is evil and you were comparing say communism and capitilism then it would be more likely that you would say capitilism is bad. Like Journeyman said it leads to competition which will inevitbly lead to people going bankrupt etc. But in actual fact neither is "evil". If you wanted to point out an ideolgy that was evil violent dicatorships would be a good start e.g. the Nazis. I suppose communism is sort of a dictatorship but sort of not. Perhaps tell your friend that in what way is communism "evil" and he should be stumped. A better argument would be which one works better, but even then that would be hard seeing as how one of them dosen't exist :l 143

Social Discussion / Re: WW3« on: February 27, 2012, 05:04:29 PM »Everyones argument for WW3 being completely and utterly impossible for the sole reason that "It would be bad". This amuses me to watch. Again you keep making my awnsers shorthanded to make them sound stupid. Please read all of what I said before posting. No nukes were dropped but they still played a role in the cold war If say russia hadn't of had any nukes then the entire path of history from 1945 to today would have changed. And that works the other way round as well. Where do I say irrational people are not thrown into power? I was refering to MAD in my argument. This states that neither side will attack the other because they HAVE BIG GUNS. Do you honestly not understand that that is soooo important! If both sides (America + Russia) hadn't of had nukes it is very possible that shortly after ww2, ww3 would have started between them, but while they were recovering economicly both sides developed nuclear arms and so it didn't happen. Can someone else who has some knowledge of the cold war era back me up here. Also when did I say Genocides are myths? Where did that come from? And dude ofc wars are not fought with baguettes and plastic shields. But that dosen't mean they are fought with guns either. The modern "war" between two countries does not mean trenches, tanks and guns. Some notable battlese of the cold war: The berlin blockade; guns used 0 The Cuban missile crisis; guns used 0 The Berlin wall; guns used - some but 0 were used from Russians against Americans. Please learn some knowledge on the cold war and war in general then come back to me with something clever.... 148

Hmm if you have multiple servers available you could host 2-3 UD servers (would be hard to fill) where as you progress you move on to one of the other servers which would have a new map that has harder enemies/quests. Might keep it interesting for players who are getting pass level 80

Pretending Sopa was passed (which it won't be) anyone else think it could end up being like the ban on alchol in 1920s (I think) America? So underground Internet gangs, illegal broadband suppliers etc. etc.
