Write a detailed in-canon back-story how your character obtained these authorizations.
A man in a pitch-black suit walked down the hallway as his expensive, polished shoes tapped upon the executive floor beneath himself. The unknown silhouette abrupted to a halt as he turned to the right, beginning to weakingly cough into his wrinkly fist. This figure slid out a document with one hand that he hid inside his executive suit as he continued to the wooden door at the far side of the hallway. Advancing down the black carpet with golden stripes decorated onto it, his hand pushed open the door with a slow creak. Sighting a man frustratingly working on his computer before adjusting his glasses, he continued to write at a fast pace - as always - even though he was a aged man with a intellectual mind and just as always, in his work suit to admire the appropiate organization standards - in otherwards, the fitting apparel.

 The mysterious figure approached the desk before slapping down the documents as photographs spilled from the case. There was a coffee stain marked near the crimson red stamp "TOP SECRET". These documents were secret, right? As the old man adjusted his glasses and began to search through the files, he noticed a few photographs and began to observe through each one. "Two of our spies were missing recently from a situation involving a large terrorism attack. The military had cleansed the area and found evidence that would eventually lead to nothing but information detailing about a airport not far from here. It's either a distraction so they can plan another attack within the location we are currently in or that's their next destination to ambush and take control of. Although, the military had been holding off the area for some time now searching through airport-related things to cleanse the area from any dangerous and hazardous items like a bomb to prevent a large-scale incident that would affect the masses of the population within this City and to keep a great safety over them."

 The old man nodded, noticing the amount of photographs visually detailing black silhouettes fighting hand-to-hand combat amongst facemasked, urbanized clothed individuals armed with brass knuckles. Continuing to slide through the photographs like a slideshow, he noticed that the last "slide" visually detailed atleast two black suited individuals being dragged away as one individual has a unidentified LMG aimed at the survelliance camera. He continously searched through the document as a variety of papers scattered across the desk to only find blueprints of specialized, experimental equipment that is used for special operations. The blueprints imaged boots that reached above the kneecap and had two prongs installed. Information on the papers alerted that the user must have "plastic cylinder tubes installed in the calf bone" and that "thick gel layers were inserted around the tubes to ensure condition of these prongs for a long-lasting period" and lastly, stated that they must "take medical-related pills to relieve the pain after the surgical process is complete." The mysterious figure hesitated as he glared at the old man. "What do you think?" He responded. "I don't know. This experimental project is a large-scale experiment that would take months - or even years - to configure for their standards. There are a variety of reasons why this would fail and we could go bankrupt!" He shrieked in agression with a furious mood but in a soothing voice as his piercing eyes stared at the man. "That's why we are picking six "contestants" - or otherwise, females - to test a blueprint due to their flexibility and agility. One blueprint will be discussed within the room next door and we will plan a meeting. As for now, I will allow you to keep a open-mind about this. Goodbye." The mysterious, suited man turned around on his heels and left the room as the door slammed. A faint dialogue came from the hallway doorway comprehensively. "These documents are surely interesting."

 Tight-suited females were aligned up across the wall with a straightened posture, their various gear attached upon specific sections of their body. The room remained to be "spaceless" and "empty" due to the details of the closed-in structure of the room. As boredom settled in, a suited man with a slightly joyeous smile etched across his face entered the room with documents held loose in between his armpit. His speech was announced catiously as the three individuals listened in carefully with their bodies frozen stiff near the wall. "You six are selected due to your highly or moderately-determined intellectual skills and precisioned physical status that we want to use rulingly for our specialized, under current constructed equipment. With flexibility and agile attributes that you have taken under careful measures. We have picked females as our number one subject for such equipment." He coughed, continuing onwards.

 "Augmentations will increase your attributes depending on the physical structure of your body. These augmentations are quite dangerous but scientifically, you will be immune to it. Probably. Earlier, me and the majority of the organization began to talk about which schematic is perfect for you six. Hours and hours of arguments and talking, we finally met a useful schematic. Boots. Yes, I am talking about boots. These boots are currently under construction over the few months by the science team to ensure there are no problems with this and that it would be a great utility for the spies I am currently talking to. You may aswell know that the augmentations will be acquired first and then the boots will be given to you. Not just for fashion, ladies.

 "This is selected for the major operation coming up. Now, back to duty." He nods as the six of the females leave the area.
 
 One month later.

 "Surgical augmentations are under effect. Authorized personel must proceed to the MEDICAL BAY for current procedure." A womanly voice comes from the speakers as Amanda continues to the medical bay. "Good luck getting surgery at the bay, Amanda. Hope you don't get your leg amputated." Amanda continued on, passing by the scientist. "You give me the shivers, doc but thanks for the response." The door slid open and without further do, she advanced torwards the rooms nearby. The devices in the background created noises similiar to that of heartbeats and the womanly voice continued to repeat itself over and over every fifteen minutes. As reality entered Amanda, a scientist with a facemask nodded to her. "You are late again but that ain't bad since another agent is currently late. Enter the room that says "02" and sit on the bed until a group of doctors commence the procedure."

 A few minutes passed and technically, she was sitting on the bed, looking up at a high-tech device remaining unoperatable with three other designed versions of the device. A window nearby detailed two unknown silhouettes in labcoats talking to eachother. Remaining comfortable for the time being, a voice over the COMM "talked" to her. "Alright, remain calm for the rest of the procedure. Well, you don't need to since you will be unconsious. Anyways, this procedure will implement a important augmentation within your calves to decrease the amount of damage to your ankles while falling in the boots that you will receive after this. It will be a gracious day but a long one aswell with complicated problems soon to be coming right at us. That's just me blalantly going off-topic. Anyways, we will commence the procedure in... three... two... one..." A slight clicking noise echoed throughout the COMM before stopping. The machine silently became under opationable status, a bright red light that blinds eyesight temporarily and harmlessly. A needle spun around the nose of the machine as it slowly was injected into her arm and neck, causing pain in the area. Although, dizziness settled in due to the effects of the dosage that eventually led to being in a unconsious state.

 Hours passed and the machine continued to work, surgically cutting open the side of her calves with a minature blade to reveal muscle and bone. The silky bone was cut open with a bone saw while another robotic arm inserted a rod with the manufacturer's logo on it. A second arm began to insert cotton around the rod, eventually covering it with a sheet of durable plastic. The third arm began to insert fluid-like gel into the bone that surrounded the rod. Under maintenance for the time being, a few tools laid across the table for the procedure. They were a variety of tools that the robotic arms inserted into the leg, eventually revealing after completion a suitable mechanism. The boot would remain adjusted tightly around the calf by straps and the prongs would be inserted into the back of the calf where small holes were seen.

 She groaned in agony, noticing blood soaking into the bed. One of the arms inserted morphine into the source of the pain, relieving her to relax and stay calm. The boots had holes at the back so the prongs could be inserted. One of the earlier arms that inserted the morphine circuled around Amanda once and lowered, beginning to magnify it's sights around her calf like it was alive and curious. The arm slowly took a metallic cylinder and inserted it around the boot before grasping ahold of two prongs, pushing it into the back of the boot before spinning it around a couple of times. Alas, the procedure was complete and cheers of the two scientists over the COMM made Amanda smile, although she had to pay the risk later on.

 One week later.

 Training was in progression and the word "movement" remained on the white board with a black font created from a marker. It detailed what the boot could do, what parts were used within the boot, which angle the ankle was directed at during jumps, what movements could the user with the boot do and so forth. After observations and a short talk, they continued down to the training room where a few "bits and pieces" were scattered across the field. It was going to take hours - even days - of work to adjust to the boot but it was for the upcoming operation they were planning for. One of the women had injured their leg badly, revealing a rod sticking from their calf with a ankle turned around a angle that even a flexible human couldn't do. This incident was caused due to the woman trying to perform a backflip from the large container. "That's not what you should do, women. You could seriously and severely break your leg. Remember that when you are in the field, medical attention won't be brang to you immediately unless you are evacuated. Now, continue on."


 It was like gymnastics but more serious with much more movements. The user had to do backflips, long jumping, fast sprinting and other movements that the normal human couldn't do without it. Amanda's physical structure remained important for the utility.

 The operation remained unsuccessful as a unknown lifeform had taken control over the heavily-destroyed airport. Heavily armed terrorists began to stop their hostile actions upon the military as they fought against them but in the end, both factions lost and succumbed to death. Amanda and her three friends used their boots to jump onto props that one couldn't climb as bullets trickled down onto the ground around them. With the bomb activated in the airplane whilst ticking, Xen life appeared around the airport, attacking anyone who was in the area. It ruthlessly attacked military personal and terrorists, using their attacks to shred them apart. With the bomb eventually deactivated by a fellow demolitions specialist like her with the same suit, Amanda taken control over the airplane with a surviving pilot who was shocked. One of the agents was shot in the chest, penetrating their heart. As they escaped, the airport began to furiously explode from the bombs dropped onto it by the military.

 The incident didn't manage to wound Amanda during the crash but the pilot remained dead, his head laid across the wheel. I guess he wasn't wearing his seatbelt. In a random twist of fate, robed men encountered her while she went unconsious, bringing her to a nearby cabin for rest.

What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects?
Perks
 1.Fall damage wouldn't be severe to her but it would be to others without the boots. (I ain't talking about cliffs, silly.)
 2.The increased chance to escape situations that are dangerous to her.
 3.Decreased chance of being shot.
 

Defects
 1. Increased chance in spraining her ankles.
 2. Moderate to severe pain could be triggered at random times.
 3. Abit weaker than the average human.
 4. Rare chance in fracturing a kneecap or femur bone.
 5. A major target for robbery (robbers) or capturing (Combine).
 6. Augmentations over the years would fade out and would increase the defects (1, 2, and 4) above.

 

What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
 Use them for passive and action. I don't want to show them off but that would be very unlikely since other people tend to roleplay with my character most of the time and say "lul how u do dat!11!!"

Will anyone else need these auths? (If so, list OOC and IC name(s))
 // The Universal Union maybe? Five of the members in the background story would be deceased and their boots would be sent to City17 for scientific purposes that the CCA could work on and eventually manufacture. I don't know.

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen to one of the most overpowered authorization applications in existence! Maybe?       I was inspired to create this due to the design of the cut Combine Assassin and Black Ops assassin. You could expect Amanda to be overpowered by this authorization because she is a former government spy.

 UPDATE 1: Removed some unnecessary authorizations and added some defects.

 When I was creating this, I planned on wiping most of the authorizations away and I thought that using more defects could weaken her out. I thought that balancing her out like other Outland characters would be the most efficient way.

I'm pretty sure that the majority of defects people include on their authorisations are hardly ever roleplayed out, and if you look specifically at your perks:

Essentially it sounds like you'll be able to do ninja shit like assassinating somebody then dodge bullets and leap out of a 3 story window.

I'm sorry, but in your backstory, it kind of just says: "You're the best, here are some boots." It really doesn't give a backstory on the boots, how they were made, where they are from etc. It would be a greater and much more sensable if you included how they were made and where they came from.

As of the 9th of August 2012, users who post comments similar to "good rp, +support" or "seems op, - support" without any detailed justification are liable to be warned for a first offence and then banned for a second offence.

While it was changed a while ago it seems we have two threads, I've always known since it was changed that anyone can reply as long as they had something to add or to say other than "+/- support"

 She won't be able to jump out of a three story building but she will jump higher than the average human with the boots on. I'll give you one example just so I won't confuse you. If you take a shipyard container, you do know that she will be able to jump onto it. There are many people in reality who can do parkour and whoever authorizes for can easily be similar to her. You can search it up on Youtube if you wish and you will notice that most of these skilled individuals can do backflips, rolling, etcetera etcetera so Amanda can do parkour abit but not skillfully.

 I do roleplay my defects quite often but it tends to be forgotten overtime due to the fact that I haven't been able to look over my authorizations for a period of time. Most people tend to do this over and over just like me. It happens.

I will not be supporting this app in any form as it is far far too op. Sorry but the fact this character already has a umpteen auths already makes this even more unacceptable.

honestly stalker, i think you're getting confused between government agencies like Mi6 agents and mainstream movies like die hard, government spies aren't splinter cell bad asses that can climb walls

Most government spies don't even leave the office and use networking to spy on other countries. Even if they're out in the field, they don't really /try/ to engage in combat.

 I thought of changing her background abit but there's no turning back. It is a unnecessary and overpowered authorization as shown by the people criticizing this so it is denied (the authorization) by my choice.

 Yeah, I thought it was pretty stupid too. :)
