Your most emotional moving song/performance
« on: February 10, 2015, 12:28:26 AM »
I've always wanted to know what motivates and moves people do something just because of a song or a performance they heard throughout their lives, and can't stop listening to it because of the effect it had on them.

When I saw this performance, I was memorized. But not till recently did I realize that this performance by Coltrane was intended to ignore Music Theory because he was diagnosed with cancer 6 hours before this. The song is called "My Favorite Things". A 3/4 sig jazz standard mastered by Coltrane and Mccoy himself. I watch this and some Buddy Rich videos every day before school, and it just scares me sometimes to know how deep you can get with a subject like music.

I'm sure a lot of people can relate to this song:

It's strange how such a simple song can really just get you in a trance per say. I think it could have been named a billion different things but Intro is very suiting as it encompasses pretty much everything. The beginning of a journey? Picking your thoughts apart one by one? Great song.

Always used to feel real scared whenever I heard that bass solo at the beginning. The entire solo though is insane, but if you are looking for mind bending shit then...

Honestly, this moved me to tears.  It wasn't so much the song, but that Eddy Vedder simply just stopped singing and let the audience take over.  You know you have the best fans in the world when they are the ones who make your performance worthwhile.
