Headphones for gaming.
« on: November 15, 2014, 02:43:11 PM »
Hi guys, just broke my gamecom 780s and now I want to buy headphones and a seperate mic. I have around £80 to spend and was wondering if anybody has any recommendations.

I've already looked at audio technica ATH M50X and sennheiser 449 headphones.

I've already looked at blue yeti microphone and the zalman clip on mic.

Plantronics RIG. Nothing bad to say about them, aside from the ear cups being small - which can be painful after hours of wearing them.

Normally I'd recommend Logitech but on most of their headsets they use this net type frabric for the headpart and it gets PAINFUL after wearing it for like 30mins, almost as if someone is pushing a metal bar down on your head. I don't know why it does that.

I currently own: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158155 (Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3d Wrath) and it's fantastic. I love it and sometimes I forget I'm even wearing it. It's a little on the expensive side but they also sell a similar product: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158167&nm_mc=HookLogic&cm_sp=HookLogic-_-Headsets+and+Accessories-_-Creative+Labs-_-26158167 (Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3d Rage). I would definitely look into it. It's all leather and comes with a control panel so you can mess with the settings, get different profiles, and basically customize it to what you want. It's honestly the best headset I've ever owned. Plus, it's well within your price range. Just look online and you could prob even find it cheaper.
