spore hard difficulty

basically im playing spore and i selected hard difficultly because im a massive cunt. basically, whenever i get enough villagers to do anything, i instantly get attacked. this goes on and on. 3 different villages basically keep taking turns attacking me, or sometimes attack at once. eventually i cant do it so i end up dying. does anyone got any tips on how the fuck i can kill these people without me getting killed first? my base is also located pretty fucking far from any food resources so i have to run around and its just a massive hassle to get any food.

I found that starting off peaceful and giving gifts in the beginning, and the raining hell on everyone later is the best way to go. Just make sure they can't possibly get pissed at you and perform and shit and they will stay off your ass.
