What's happening?

Lag spikes can be caused by everything, from (Potentially) high load on connections, box maintenence, prop spam, etc.
Got any more info?

The reason for the lag spikes is due to recent attacks against our community.  We do have a firewall, and the attack lasts all of a matter of seconds before the firewall adapts.  Of course, during that time the server will freeze and/or crash, and there is nothing we can do about it.  We're going to have to weather the storm and wait for whomever skiddie we pissed off to get bored.
