The Civil Observer - Issue 1
« on: March 19, 2014, 07:31:38 PM »
**The paper is sold in plaza and a copy is 6 tokens (free for CPs). Your copy of the paper is hand written and the hand writing varies from paper to paper. It is riddled with pencil smudges, sweat blotches, and other areas are drawn in with colored pencils.

Introduction | Welcome to  the Civil Observer ,an upstart newspaper company looking to improve the flow of information in City 18. We look to expand our operations as we grow as the forefront of news in the city. If you wish to reach us, our headquarters are located in Zanda, right by plaza. If there’s nobody there, leave a note in the box. We are currently looking for employees, stories, and people who wish to advertise in our paper. Enjoy the first issue!

Citizen Hospital | Today I had the honor of speaking to the Medical Director Monika Krause. She is the chief of City 18’s very own Citizen Hospital. The hospital is responsible for the care and welfare of our citizens and they truly excel at it. Ranging from minor coughs to intensive surgery, the Citizen Hospital is a host of prosperity for the average man of City 18. This advanced healthcare facility has a maximum capacity of 6 and can hold an individual for the up to 2 weeks.

This is what an average visit would look like: You begin screening in the triage, a box inside the waiting area. They check your level of consciousness, airway, vital signs, medical history, and a head to toe assessment. Thereafter you enter the patient room and set you on a bed and finally they determine your issue. This whole process is conducted by the 1 or 2 staff available, but they plan to “boost numbers” in the near future.

To join the Citizen Hospital, you must ask for an application at the front desk. After finished, you hand it in for review. If it looks good, then you will be accepted for an interview. The enthusiasm of the staff alone would make you want to join.

When asked what she wanted everybody to know, Monika Krause responded "If you are feeling unwell, please do not hesitate to come to the hospital and get assessed. Our healthcare is provided free of charge and nobody is undertreated."

I for one will not hesitate. If you want to know more about the Citizen Hospital or need a checkup, it is right across the bridge from where rations are given.

**The man looks at the stand hesitantly before walking on. He seems as though he wanted to purchase an issue, but didn't.
