ASSESSMENT #1 - IC situation: You have just been tasked with escorting a VIP (in this case, a Civil Administrator) from the Nexus to the center of the plaza for a speech. It is expected that an attempt will be made on the VIP's life today at an unknown time. A citizen begins to follow your escort group. You suspect that they belong to a rebel group who intend to kill the VIP. How do you approach the situation? Be creative.

(Assuming the role of Elite 001) Overwatch Elite Unit 001, and two other soldiers, 002 and 003, are tasked to escort a VIP from the Nexus of City 18 for a short speech being held in a few minutes, where Units and Citizens are already waiting. As the squad of 3 reach the elevator platform, the Elite Unit radios in the the Nexus' Overwatch commander to confirm their arrival, and are waiting for the lift to reach the bottom. A few seconds later, the VIP and two Overwatch soldiers exit with the Administrator. As the three disembark the lift, the Elite Unit announces to his squad: "<:: Four and five, attach to the squad." He turns to face the group of soldiers and says, "<:: Tight diamond formation to the Plaza- There's been a tip off of a possible threat on the asset. Keep the Administrator out of danger and alive at all costs. Expunge any threats, understood?." Each of the solders confirm their orders with a nearly simultaneous "<:: Understood". The VIP enters the safety of the diamond formation, with the Elite unit taking his place at the tip of the point. "<:: Moving, ETA twenty seconds." he says through his radio, as the formation makes their way down the roadto the gathering at the Plaza.
Once the group makes it to the plaza, the Elite unit points the VIP to his position at the podium. Shortly after, the Elite Unit radios in, "<:: Squad, assume your positions around the stage." The four soldiers take a position at each point of the stage, watching their surroundings with the dozen or so CCA units keeping the peace. The Elite walks over to the podium, standing to the left of the Administrator for the duration of his speech.
Roughly a minute or so into his speech, there's a couple citizens making their way around the stage watching the roofs and units around the stage, obvious indications of something off. One of the soldiers at their post notices this, radioing this information into the general CCA channel where the units and soldiers are aware, and able to keep an eye on the two. One of the men begins to retreat towards a mezzanine overlooking the Plaza. From there, he begins to raise his wrist to his mouth, indicating even more strange behavior. "<:: Target has his arm to his mouth- possible communication device, advise?" One of the soldiers says. "<:: Hold. Keep viscon on both targets." Elite 001 says, keeping his index finger against the trigger guard of his AR2.
The microphone makes a loud distorting noise, and a slight panic sets in as the other man begins to run. Elite unit 001 notices this after the soldier promptly radios his movement in, and the soldier replies with a sharp "<:: Engage." The soldier shoots several pulse rounds into the man's torso, killing him. Several units begin to pursue the accomplice and search the downed man who has light body armor and a radio on his person. The soldiers then regroup at the Administrator "<:: This is Elite 001, attempted sociocide had been averted. Ripcording to Nexus with asset." The soldiers reform the diamond formation, quickly bringing the VIP back to the safety of the Nexus.
 

ASSESSMENT #2 - OOC situation: The following scenario has taken place: a player who is in command of a criminal character in possession of hidden contraband was in the process of being handcuffed before they suddenly ran away without any valid RP. A member of the administration team locates and brings the offending player back to where they started. The player does not seem to understand the rules of the server. They are frozen in place while the administrator is sent to deal with an urgent matter. Before the administrator leaves, you are asked to explain to the player about what they did wrong. How do you proceed?


Assuming they legitimately got the items, I'd ask them if they understood the proper process of roleplay here at CG. If he doesn't, I'd explain to him the P2L system, and give him an example in some other form. If they understand this, I'd then give them suggestions of how to deal with resistance towards being ziptied, and that it's the proper way to do so rather than just running since that's against the rules here.
After that, I'd link them to the rules and tell them to read through them for a refresh to avoid further problems. But if none of this works, I'd just refer back to the Administrator to try to get them to understand or issue punishment.
