Half-Life Two: Roleplay - Update #7

The code both our HL2RP servers run on was untouched for several weeks. So I decided to give it a little update.
  • Added access and pickup protection systems for the Nexus armory, to prevent any next minges from glitching in and mass RDMing the whole server.
  • All shipments and items inside the armory and firing range will be auto-frozen.
  • Added the 'E' flag - allows it's owner to spawn the health station and suit recharger SENTs.
  • Made stunsticks into inventory weapons - now, citizens who steal them can actually have them.
  • Added a /A alias for /Ad (admin chat).
  • Added all of the mandatory Clockwork files onto FastDL - no more vignette problems (purple-black screen).
  • Added all of the map files onto FastDL.
  • Manipulation with CWU whitelist will now revoke/grant the subject forum access.
  • Sent /Request will now show up in chat to the person who sent it.
  • Civil Workers will no longer toggle ration machine's state instead of getting a ration (late).
  • High Command is now able to spawn shotgun ammunition.
  • Fixed default CCA character name.
  • Removed the ticking sound from area displays (street names).
  • Added selective combine locks and a bunch of access card inventory items.
  • Added PlayX, it is auto-spawned into the cinema. Only superadmins and people with the 'P' flag may manipulate it.
  • Added weight stool.
  • Added new /Datafile command. /ViewData is now deprecated.
  • Fixed flashlights. (again)
  • Added /DoorSetDefaultLocked command for admins to make a door locked on server startup.
  • Added the 'h' flag, will allow it's owner to lock/unlock hidden doors/hatches.
  • Added some voicecommands for the CCA - Code 100, All units report in, 10-2, 10-4, 10-8, on duty 10-8, 10-65 and 1-20 (number sounds).
  • Fixed the "BAD MEMORY" humans voicecommand not working.
  • Fixed "Administrator" faction (CA's and server admin) characters being subject to outlands server blacklist.
  • Fixed CCA unable to spawn rations.
  • Re-added automatic dispatch.
  • Renamed /CharUnoutlandify to /CharUnoutlands.
  • Technology props in the resistance base in the sewers will now be automatically removed on map load.
  • Added support for longer messages for the in-game chat. It remains same for regular members. VIP's, Gold members and admins can use up to 300 characters.
  • Fixed scanners spawning in the lobby/randomly around the map, they now spawn in the citadel and exit into the Plaza by flying through the window pod two uses.
  • Added new character selection and creation menu.
  • Fixed Civil Worker's Union faction name to Civil Workers' Union.
  • Fixed FastDL, some files were missing and/or misconfigured, what could cause your client to redownload the files every join (this took me about 40 seconds).
  • Added logging for ragdoll and vehicle spawning.
  • Mounted CS:S to both servers.
  • Added Vortigaunt Conscript faction and character class, and converted all existing conscript characters to belong into it. Taught vending machines and ration dispensers to give conscripts rations/water cans.

We also removed all Civil Authority characters that showed up orange on the self-updating roster. We have a backup file so if we feel we removed your unit unfairly, contact us.

The moment both servers are up, those changes go live.
Please report any potential bugs that may and probably will happen either in the HL2RP Bug reports forum, to me or Kronic via forum PM's, or directly over Steam.

Am I the only one that thinks keeping the character limit the same for normal members is well... Stupid and limiting on the roleplay(It kinda breaks immersion)

but yes good update

Am I the only one that thinks keeping the character limit the same for normal members is well... Stupid and limiting on the roleplay(It kinda breaks immersion)

i told kronic this a few days ago but he didnt listen to me, apparently it "isn't very much different" so it doesnt matter that you can now pay to fit more RP into a line

don't think it's really that much of an issue - most gold members aren't even capable of filling up the original word limit with their HRP grammar skills

i do like the new viewdata system and the hidden doors though, kudos

any progress on the vortigaunt swep khub?

any progress on the vortigaunt swep khub?

The next update will, unless something goes wrong, bring vortigaunt SWEP and vortigaunt chat (/v).
