Write a detailed in-canon back-story how your character obtained these authorizations.
     
As Anastas walked down the river he spotted a fallen tree that had crushed against the cliff's wall. It appeared to have fallen from the top of the cliff as there was a mess around the tree, many branches were around, some of them appeared to be burnt. What could have done those burn marks? An explosion from any resent combat, or just a lighting that stroke the tree's base and made it fall off from the cliff. He didn't know, he approached so see if there was any nuts or dead animal he could eat as dinner for that night. As he was looking around the tree he spotted one branch that was firmly stuck against the ground. Placing his hands around the branch he pulled, his leather gauntlets protected his skin from any lesions. As the branch came off from the ground Anastas stumbled back falling into the ground, as he was falling he maintained the branch between his hands in a firm way. He stood back and continue searching around for anything that could be useful. Some hours later he was back at his camp with the rest of his small gang, he did not mentioned the tree branch as he thought it was nothing important. The next day he was told to go towards the town and try to find some food he could take back home. He parted away into the town taking his backpack and leaving his oak tree branch at his camp.

-The cottage-

As he approached he spotted an old nearly destroyed cottage, he tought it would be wise to look around for any supplies in there. He climbed through a window and jumped into the house. As he was searching around he saw some nails hammered into the wall that used to hold a big portrait. That's when he had one of the best ideas since long time. With the help of his gauntlets he pushed the nails off from the wall and stored them in a small pocket in his backpack. He continued exploring the house, although he found nothing useful just dead rats and old food cans. He decided to continue on his mission for finding food at the town. As he walked out off the cottage he was facing what appeared to be a fence built up by hundreds of rocks, there were some outstanding sticks that had some barbed wire around them. Anastas retrieved some of this barbed wire and continue to the town.

-Back at the camp-

As Anastas returned back to his camp he threw the food into the food box and went directly to his little spot that was reserved for him. Gently placing his backpack at the side of the oak branch he searched for the nails and placed the first nail facing one of the tree branch face. Carefully he started hitting the nail with a rock until the pointed edge of the nail came off from the other side. He repeated this with the two nails that were left. He then took the barbed wire off from his backpack and began attaching it around the top of the tree branch with the help of the nails. He then stood up moving the stick around trying to find any weak points, after many tests he finally left it at the side of his backpack and left to eat with the rest of his company.

What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects?
Perks
A melee weapon that can be used in combat.
Ability to defend himself with better results that if he would be using his bare hands.
He might be able to use it as a poor digging tool.

Defects
People that see him with the stick might not trust in him.
People might react in a hostile way as a man with a tree branch approaches towards them.
After carrying the stick for many time, he might get tired.
When running, he won't be as fast as he is when he does not has his stick.

What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
I plan to enhance my character roleplay as to help other people with creating new and funny roleplaying experience. Mainly using it as a melee defense system although it wouldn't do much against people with body armor or people with fire weapons. Using it as different types of tools such as helping my character in digging holes in a faster way or using it as a support for walking when he gets injured.
