IC Character Name: Nick Archer
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.Nick Archer wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority, as he wishes to help the Universal Union in any way possible. He has took an interest to the Combine ever since they invaded Earth. He just thought life was too hard before the Combine took over. He always hated the jobs that were available, as he just thought they were boring for him. Other than being a doctor. He has been a doctor for a period of time, which he thought his medical knowledge, could be put to use in the CCA.
Nick wondered why everyone hated the laws. He wants the Resistance to just give up on what they’re doing. Aiding the CCA in protecting the cities and stop the Resistance was the best thing he could think off. Aiding the way of the new ways.
If Nick got accepted into the CCA, he would try and follow every order to the best of his ability and protect the city from any citizens disobeying the rules. He would also respond to any responds from people using request devices.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.I have taken positions before as part of the Civil Protection, on different Half-Life 2 RP servers, which I have learn't how I can improve on my role-playing skills as a Civil Protection. Being part of the CCA on Catalyst, will aid me in becoming better with role-playing, as different roles in the game. Which my role-playing abilities will open more role-playing situations with other players as well.
Nick Archer thinks he will do well for the Combine Civil Authority, as he doesn't like anyone, so there's no one for him to like while part of the CCA. This will be a new thing for him, which he likes new things. He will always do what he needs to do to get out of good or bad situations. He expects things to be strict. In training and outside of training. He also expects things to be fair, or as fair as they can get.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.Nick came from a wealthy background in America; his parents owned a big house, a really good car and had good jobs. Even the rest of his family had some money in the pocket. So he could get the things he wanted. As he was turning 8, he was getting everything he was wanting, which he thought he was getting spoilt. This is what he never wanted. He wanted to be like the other kids.
In school, he dreamed of being a doctor, after visiting the hospital after his Aunt had given birth, he looked around while walking through the hospital. He wanted to help people like the doctors and nurses did. He got bullied for this, but this didn’t put him off. Throughout his school, he never got into trouble and was always good. He had the best grades through his school years, in every test he did very well.
When he got his medical degree, he was finally ready to do what he had dreamed of being, a doctor. He went to the hospital and signed up. He waited a couple of days for his application to be processed. This annoyed him as couldn’t wait for the job. He was accepted! He felt like the luckiest person on the planet.
The Seven Hour War came, and after hearing the Military was getting killed, and the alien forces was taking over the Earth, he went to hide in his Apartment. Not knowing if any of his family had been killed, he stayed in there until it ended. The front door busted in and a strange looking figure came in with full metal armour and glowing eyes. The thing ordered him to go with him. He went straight away. They took him into a strange place, it had mechanics that he had never seen before, and if he saw a beam that he had to go through, he thought he would hit it, instead of walking through. Which he noticed everyone was nervous about. He was walking into the city called “City 45”. When he entered the city, things was very different such as the strange big blue building in the plaza. He noticed the laws were very different and strict, he saw what happened to some people if you disobeyed the laws, and you got heavily beaten. Nick thought he’d stick to these laws and not do anything wrong.
Five Months after the Seven Hour War had occurred, loved the new life. No more nasty people around that would pick on him, and the streets were clean. Things were as simple as they could get and Nick loved it. Nick noticed some crimes and always ignored the requests for help to get rid of the new way. Nick quickly decided to try and help the “CCA” as he had heard it, by getting a request device. Which he reported some crimes. He liked that he didn’t have to get a strict job, when you can do something as simple as clean. And there wasn’t much you could spend your money on. Nick always entertained himself, such as think about things while he was relaxing when he could. When Nick saw the CCA was recruiting, Nick thought this was his chance to help the CCA
