Harder Quize

(See the "Fail RPer's" topic for more info) Do to the increasing amounts of, fail, fail RPer's, Minges, and idiots, dont get me wrong here; there are plenty of good players, CPs, and Admins on the server, but a surplus of retards. To the point, the Quize should be harder to keep out Lite and Dark RP noobs. Last night, while playing on the server, I saw a player complaining about "not enough jobs" or "to harsh cops" and the server being "boring." Also the player admitted to being a frequent Taco&Bannana player. The player kept ranting about how the server "sucks", but then was rapidly attacked by all players and admins on the server. In chat of course. The Quize should have more harder questions such as (ex: Do you play on Lite or Dark Rp servers? Do you understand the point and story of the game mode?) Things like that. If some one has to add you, ask for the answers, then they are unworthy and just to stupid to play here. Also telling a Noob, or newb the answers, should resolve in some form of punishment.

also the quiz is mainly for common sense, not really RP ability...

I'd like to suggest adding a custom loading screen with some URL addresses to the main forum board, basic RPing guide, and fear/injury guide. You could put up big, bold text that says, "If you are new to this server, read these guides first!"

Would make that information a lot more accessible to new players.

EDIT: also, I would consider adding a question along the lines of, "Do you have a good and working knowledge of Half Life 2 canon?"

I thought about that. Have a longer quiz... If people can't force themself to take the quiz, they're not mentally fit to roleplay properly in our server. Minges look at the quiz and see 'Lol why should I take a quiz to join a server'. But people who really want to join, will go through the extra step to do it, and those people would most likely be mature enough to hadle Serious RP.

Agreed. But some people play DarkRP for what it is, an RPG. So don't exclude every single person who has played DarkRP.

DarkRP is every bit as much an RPG as GTA IV.

GTA 4 is an RPG. You collect stats and weapons or whatever. (I think, never played it).

Anyway, my point was that both games are RPGs in the shallowest sense and aren't very serious about the roleplaying element.

Possibly the most common reason to play DarkRP and GTA IV is simply to screw around.

Roleplay: Develop a story with several writers playing the characters, and a central administration or gamemaster controlling non-character elements. More about the story than the gaming, as few restrictions as possible.
Roleplaying Game: Collect weapons and upgrades and become an ub3r-pwnz0r.

Adding questions to the quiz isn't hard - one lua file. Figuring out what the questions are though... Hmm.

Nah... There's already a question that asks about items and upgrades. Plus, we wouldn't want to put lots of emphasis on guns at this point in a new player's experience.
For the benefit of the new player and the community as a whole, I think a question related to fearRP should be added, maybe something like this:
If a metrocop shoves you into a wall, what do you do?
Shove the son of a b**** back! Better yet, a solid left hook to the jaw!
Cower at his feet and pray he doesn't beat you or drag your pathetic body to detainment.

Agree totally. The minge population is increasing. We need some more in-depth questions.
