Well I just noticed that I haven't posted an introduction here so.........Hello im Ninjashrimp, Ive been with the CG community for almost a year now and I'm 'trying' to be very active on the HL2RP server, Im addicted to all valve games and Im addicted to Mountain dew and Dr. Pepper....and thats pretty much it....

Past experience with work/labor:I worked in a small store for a short time, went out of buisness days later.
What will you do for us?:I am a good salesman and I will clean if needed, I will devote all of my time to serve.
Can the CWU have Watermelons?:No, They are contraband and would be illegal to sell.
Can the CWU have Flashlights?:Yes, To see in dark areas and to fix or clean stuff that is in the dark.

If a citizen runs up to you and starts cussing what will you do? (1 Paragraph/Detail it):I would ask the citizen to please Not use those words and inform them that it is not civilised, If he does continue to yell using those foul words I would radio in my other workers to ask the Union Civil Authority to assist me while I try to convince the Yelling citizen, The Unit will then come and resolve the situation an way he needs to and I will resume to my duties assisting citizens and the Union.

New Log Started: 001
First day starting a personal log.....Well I'll just say what happened today.
Well first when I came out of stasis I met my new OfC 913, He's pretty cool I guess, I mean he wasn't a jerk but....He's strict, Which is good. Anyways, I got to start building a standard issue CCA C45 City Scanner which was easier then I thought.....well except for getting good pieces to build it. But the good news was that it worked fine, Just need a new AI core and better metal plating. After that I went on a regular patrol then gaurded the S6 HAP. Then I went back to stasis for a little bit to rest. After that I went on another patrol to find Unit *** (cant remember digits) ,an 02 at the Diordna with two other units...Then he blurted out "Hey how is it I am A higher rank then you but I joined the CCA much later?"......Well that was quite embarassing......Well altogether the day was pretty good....a lot of citizen's tried to rebel by attacking officer's but....Easy to handle. Alright back to stasis.

Today I was doing the state school testing thing (blech ) And I noticed on the Mathematics test one of the questions had a Lamba symbol from HL2 above the question number!!! Wow I didn't know School test's now have Easter eggs.

Today I went on the HL2RP and in the middle of playing there was a HUGE lag spike causing many people to disconnect and not being able to rejoin.....just reporting the news.

1) Please write a minimum of one paragraph OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
My character wants to join the CCA because he is tired of living a monotonous and oppressed life as a citizen. He thinks that joining the CCA is the way to a better life. The prospect of wielding power and control over people is also an aspect of Nate's decision, although he would never admit that in person.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)

3) Please provide one paragraph about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
For me, roleplaying as a metrocop will be a welcome change of setting. I think there will be many opportunities to RP in interesting situations that would not be encountered as a citizen.
From the perspective of Nate, I think he will be somewhat disappointed with the endless patrolling and etc. One of the reasons he joined the CCA was to experience more excitement in his life, however, once he faces up to reality I think he will work hard and try to go as far as he can.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 250 words.
Nate was born into a family of wealth and comfort. Both of his parents were high-ranking executives of an affluent Japanese corporation. Nate's childhood was an idyllic one, some would even say spoiled.
The bubble burst when Nate was 10. His father was charged with large-scale fraud and scandal and was subsequently fired from his job. In shame, he forced his family to move out of the country, to the United States. Predictably, Nate's father was unable to find a job because of his past, not to mention the formidable language barrier. Nate's mother was left to support the family by herself.
These years were most disorienting for young Nate. His whole world had been turned upside down; the two most important people in his life had been reduced to squabbling, incompetent wrecks of their former selves. Nate struggled through high school regardless, even while doing extra jobs to make extra money for his family.
Upon graduating, Nate found himself intensely pressured by his parents to go to college for a shiny new degree in buisness. However, Nate had become increasingly disillusioned by the promise of a future in buisness. He was also sick of sacrificing his grades and social life for his parents.
On the night of his 18th birthday, Nate stole a large amount of money from his parents and ran away from home. His new life consisted of hitchhiking from city to city, living the life and seeing the sights, so to speak.
When Nate's money inevitably ran out, he found himself stuck working numerous odd jobs. His goal became to collect enough money to hit the road again. Months later, Nate felt he had enough money to last a few more weeks.
Nate was passing through a major city when the Combine attacked earth. As such, Nate was caught in the midst of the chaos and carnage of a 7-hour war. He somehow got out of the city alive.
After surviving the Combine's initial assault, Nate's first thought was to find his parents. Now, he regretted leaving them in the first place. He began making his way back to his parents' town, traveling on foot and at night with small groups of refugees.
During this time, Nate witnessed many atrocities committed among his fellow humans. Lone refugees were raped or mugged by gangs of desperate survivors. The wounded were stripped, looted, and left to die. Violence. Bickering. Humanity's primitive roots were unleashed in the hope for survival.
In the ruined outskirts of his parents' town, a weary and bitter Nate was picked up by a Combine patrol. So close, yet so far. He still had no idea if his parents were alive or dead. Nate was twenty years old.
Nate was processed and sent to city 18. In the city, Combine propaganda concerning "human instinct" as an enemy resonated with Nate. He thought back to his childhood and his well-to-do father's crimes. He recalled his own adolescant rebellion. Most of all, the events of his travel with the refugees was still engrained in his memory.
Yes, he thought. Yes. It all made sense, he reasoned to himself. Our root human nature is truly the enemy here.

7. What’s your most memorable quality RP experience? On a city 8 server, a friend and I role-played a fight in the street. It was very well done and was not mistaken for minging.
We used /y, /me, /it, and various animations, and we never even "punched" each other. The CPs responded to the fight IC, knocked us out, and dragged our bodies to the Nexus for Civil Judgement via stunstick.
Again, the whole episode was very well RP'd, and it taught me that there is a huge difference between punchwhoring someone in the street "HURR IMMA FITE WIT U" and actually role-playing it.

Yes. But not when there is lag.

Yes, an anti-citizen ran up to me as he was pursued by Civil Protection. The Officer mistakenly believed I was affiliated with the anti-citizen and searched/interrogated me.
