Since it was discovered that forum profile pics were causing the stupid lag for the forums I am suggesting these two things 1. Limit the height x width dimensions of profile pictures to something suitable like 200x200 or 230x230, so we don't have people using oversized images that have to be resized by the forums which has been causing the issues. 2. (Optional) Wipe everyone's profile picture to remove the lag so people can then put their profile pics back within the dimension size. 3. (Alternative with number 2) Remove the ability to use image urls as profile pics, keep the dimension restriction and add a file size restriction to images to further reduce lag. It's really bothersome having to see each forum page take like 3-5 seconds to load within this past weak so I made these suggestions which can obviously be improved upon or discussed by everyone else. i seriously don't understand why it hasn't been done yet, and it will just be a pain in the ass for admins to have to keep posting the fucking threads themselves for others when the most simple fix to it is re-enabling the permission to post new topics in both the BR and BA threads and make a stickied thread in both sections for a format to use. why hasn't it been done yet wtf

This guide is obsolete and outdated! All files you need to play our HL2RP are listed on the downloads page. Just scroll down to Half-Life 2 Roleplay.

I've actually had such a shitty day today and I've been feeling so angry and annoyed because I feel everybody hates me, and nothing good at all has come out of today either, so I'm making this thread for anyone to give me criticism on me.
I've suffered with depression for the past 3 years, and having this where I have everybody hating me, here at CG and outside in RL. I have tried being nice, and everytime I do I get shot down or something really horrible happens to me and that is why I've been turning more and more into an ass lately. Today I have been non-stop angry at anything, even the littlest thing has sent me mad. I came to CG and made loads of friends here, but now all that seems to have gone and I'm suddenly one of the most hated people here.
Please, tell me what I have done wrong, and what I should do to improve, because I don't want this at all, it's making me feel so awful. Constructive criticism and stuff though please.

Simple enough suggestion, a TF2 Trade Server (suggested as well in the recent news announcement). Team Fortress 2 is F2P and still has a lot of people who play on it, and trade servers are usually populated. Saying that as well, could be possibly done in conjunction with a normal TF2 server which I don't recall CG ever having before. Could bring in more members, which means more donations to keep the servers alive.

The forums are sending out emails for people's birthday a day late. I just received an email like an hour ago at midnight to say happy birthday even though my birthday has just gone.  A small issue, but still it's an issue nevertheless.

I want to suggest a Warning Dispute section for the Community Services bit where the BRs, BAs and ACs are for people to dispute any forum warnings they are issued that they feel were unfair or shouldn't received and if accepted, would lead to a warning reduction/removal. It would be a handy section working just like Ban Appeals.

It's time for a serious Post Your Desktop thread for Summer 2012, and the reason this isn't going in spam is because serious. So, there have been old threads for PYD before but we haven't had one in ages so let's have one now. Here's mine:  Why does the right side look all weird with black bars you might ask, because my main monitor is 16:9 running at 1920x1080 and my 2nd monitor is 4:3 running at 1280x1024, and if they were both the same I would do Eyefinity but no because it looks derpy with different monitors (I salvaged the 2nd monitor from my downstairs PC since it died.)

Well, this is what it looks like on the 1st page of General Discussion currently:  This is pretty ridiculous, and I would suggest either just moving them all to Spam or since people do actually want serious ones, creating a new child board inside GD for AMA threads which do not count towards post count.

Ok, so currently we have 6 different games in the Other Games section and some I see are really pointless. Why don't we merge the inactive ones such as the Mount & Blade Warband and possibly even SWTOR into a new section also called Other Games, where again, other games can be discussed without having to make a new fucking section to it, like how pointless it was to add a M&B Section.
EDIT: So it'd be basically you have your Other Games category with the BF3, LoL forums inside, then another one for Other Games where you can post about any other game that doesn't need it's own such as M&B for instance as I said, or maybe even Total War games or Company of Heroes.

Do it and your application will be denied, regardless if you put the littlest effort to having a masterpiece. It is against the rules and it will get your application denied. Also we can easily tell when you postwhored, like for instance posting all your posts within a small timeframe then posting your app immediately after, which will get it denied.
