<::|| *Unit 280's voice begins talking* NOVA Unit 280, rank 02, uh, private log... 5... I think.

Well, I guess it's that time again. I was promoted from 03 to the rank of 02 today. It's funny, because I was promoted in the same manner as I was when I was promoted to 04. The only difference is, is this time it was scarier. I thought 938 was going to blow my head off my shoulders, but then he gave me my 02 band. A lot of pressure though, lately.

He expects a lot out of me as an 02. That, on top of being the highest level member of NOVA Forensics Team, just adds up. I've become even more bitter. I found myself handing out re-educations more and more often. I kind of started off being an 02 on a bad foot. After I detained a citizen today, my stunstick broke. I met up with a GRID unit, and they fixed it, and then I was called to the HCMR to be promoted. I had completely forgotten about the citizen, ended up releasing him a couple of cycles late.

I seriously thought he was going to amputate me. As a punishment, 938 taught a RCT the detainment process... using me as the detainee. It was embarrassing, but I sure as shit learned my lesson. I'm confident that I'll be able to recover from this mishap fairly easily. I know that 938 was disappointed when 101 transferred out of NOVA. I don't want to let him down by blowing this. ||::>

Half-Life 2 Roleplay / Re: Lately on HL2 RP

Honestly, complaining about the minges aren't going to make them go away. Shit, it might even make them worse. As stated above in about 3 or 4 separate posts, it's Garry's Mod. There are always going to be your minges who are fresh off of DarkRP and refuse to learn because "darkrp is teh best lolz". You're always going to have your trolls who just enjoy pissing people off. Letting them get to you is only going to make it worse.

The best thing to do is:
1. Try to teach them.
2. If they aren't open to being taught, ask for an admin, or post a ban request.

Lastly, not to flame or anything, but OP, you're 922? The one I saw prop surfing the other day because "He spawned a window and I couldn't resist."? I just find it weird that you're making a post about minges, when, by my definition at least, you are a mild minge.

~IC PART~
Full Name: Kaylin Jacobs
Citizen identification(CID): 12043
Last Assigned Apartment Number: UCH B2
Total Loyalist Points: 0
Sex: Female
Age: 22

How long have you been in City45:
I've been in City 45 for about a week now.

Why do you want to join the CWU?:
I would like to join the Civil Workers Union because I believe that I will be able help support the Universal Union. I believe that they do know what's best for me, City 45, and humanity in general. Due to this, I feel like it's my, and every other citizen's, duty to help benefit and advance the Union as much as possible. While sure, the access to sell supplies is always helpful, my main motive is to support the Union.

Have you ever been detained before?(If so why):
I haven't.

Past experience with work/labor:
When I was younger I worked with at my Grandfather's shop, along with my brother Chris. We sold a variety of things such as food, drinks, small electronics, just some other goods in general. It gave me a lot of experience in the work field.

Name 4 things the CWU Can possess, and 4 things we cant. Also state why.:
Can:
Radios- To communicate with other workers.
Medical Supplies- To treat wounded citizen's
UU Branded Food- To sell to citizen, or consume.
Request Devices- To distribute to citizens, or use in case of an emergency

Can't:
Weapons- Level 1 contraband
Zipties- Level 2 Contraband
Non-UU branded food- Level 3 contraband
Non-UU branded clothing- Level 3 contraband

Tell us about what you can do.:
If I were to be accepted into the CWU, I would be able to assist the Union, and the citizens by selling goods to the citizens. I would be able to supply jobs to those who are in need of them. I could also help by cleaning up around the city, or by showing the new citizens around the city.

If a citizen asks for help and is new to the city, what would you do?:
If a citizen were to ask me for help because they were new to the city, I would be friendly to them and take them on a tour of the city. I'd warn them about the dangers of entering P3, and express to him how the Union makes our life better. I would show them to there apartment, and when they are ready, we would part ways.
//If they were new to SeriousRP, I'd teach them how to play.

Name: ReDrUm
Timezone: EST
SteamID: STEAM_0:1:15848015
Roleplay Experience: On Garry's Mod, since I purchased the game a few years ago.
Serious Roleplay Experience: Another hard one to say, I know I played on Outlands back in August of 2011. I'd say a year or so now.
Detail a regular day as a worker of the CWU?:
A CWU worker's would be different depending on the person. From my understanding of the CWU, it depends on what tier the worker is in. If they were in the medical tier, then they may end up spending much of their day helping citizens heal. If not, they may spend most of their day setting up a shop, selling food, drinks, and items (All UU branded, of course) to citizens.

The worker may decide to clean up a bit around town. They may also decide to employ some citizen's to help him out, may it be around his shop, or helping him clean up around the city. The average day would consist of the worker doing whatever possible to benefit the Union.

Character Backstory:
Kaylin was raised on a cottage in France. She lived there with her grandfather, Samuel Jacobs, and her brother, Chris Jacobs. Unfortunately, while she was still fairly young, her grandfather was murdered in the night. Due to the pain and suffering that both Chris and Kaylin experienced, they went their separate ways.

Kaylin decided to leave the country completely. She moved to Baltimore, Maryland shortly after the murder. There, she was taken in by an old couple. She lived a fairly easy going life until The Seven Hour war. During the war, her house collapsed. She was hit by a piece of debris, and knocked unconscious for several hours. By the time she awoke, the war was already over.

The injury caused a mild memory loss, and she sometimes has issues remembering things that happened before the war. Although her foster parents died during the world, Kaylin took and immediate liking to the Union. She found that their style of control over humanity prevent the human race from destroying itself and Earth like it had been before the war. Kaylin was assigned to City78 initially.

She lived a pretty standard life there, she assisted the Union in any way possible. When she was transferred to City45, she was reunited with her brother Chris for the first time in years. Chris has also taken a liking to the Union, and had joined the CWU. Kaylin didn't know much, but after a while, Chris had taught her what she needed to know, so she made the decision to apply.

<::|| *The same Male voice with a slight Panamanian accent from the previous logs begins talking* NOVA Unit 280, uh, rank 03, private log entry, er..., 4?

I figured that I should begin logging more often, maybe even daily. Although it's still weird talking to this recording device, I think it helps keep myself in touch with the more human side of me. Reminds me that I actually have feelings. Since I was promoted to 03, I feel like I've changed. As a recruit, 05, hell, even as an 04, I was always nice to citizens. Well. Comparatively speaking. There are some citizens that think of me as evil as hell. *Brief chuckle*. But since my promotion, I've noticed myself becoming more bitter. I have had less tolerance for disobedience. When I saw someone jogging around the city, I would usually give them a warning before issuing a re-education. Just today, I delivered a minor re-education for a mobility violation without even warning them first.

I mean, in all fairness, I've seen units throw citizens into the Nexus for three cycles on top of a re-education on their first mobility violation. But, it's out of my usual personality to be so... intolerant. I don't know if this is a good or bad change...

Today there was a man with an injury in the plaza. 101 asked me to take a look. I reluctantly went and took a look. It was a minor broken leg, nothing the CWU couldn't handle. At that moment, however, there wasn't a worker available. I really didn't want to treat that guy. In the end a CWU Worker showed and took care of it, but I've never felt such discontent being ordered to heal someone. It has nothing to do with the fact that I was ordered to do it, it was just who the patient was. Typically they only ever bother to heal the obedient, not necessarily loyalist, but at least obedient. This guy was different. He was right out of Distri- Precinct 3. The kind of guy who spread a whole bunch of lies about how "Cruel and Oppressive" we are.

My thought process was that if he didn't want our help in his life, then we shouldn't have given him medical attention. I know my say doesn't matter, it just doesn't make sense to me. I guess that's all for today. ||::>

<::|| *A male's voice with a slight Panamanian accent begins to talk* Uh... NOVA Unit 280, rank uh... 03, private log 3. Alright... where to begin?

I recently got a promotion to the rank of 03. It's pretty cool, I guess. Nothing special though. Don't get me wrong, I love to get promotions, it's just become another part of life. *A chuckle is heard* I remember getting promoted from recruit to 05... *Long pause* It seems like it's been ages, but it really hasn't. Everything is so different now...

Once again, don't get me wrong, I love being in the CCA. It's just... who am I? I feel like I'm no longer Adelmo Sucre. It's like Unit 280 has completely taken over my identity. When I'm off duty I have no one to talk to. I just go back to my apartment. I just sit there until my next shift. I don't know if I like it, or if I don't...

Anyways, on a brighter note, along with my promotion to 03, I was promoted to a Basic Level Investigator in the NOVA Forensics Team. While it may not exactly sound like that high of a rank, but as of right now I outrank everyone in the NFT, except for 938, of course. He recently got promoted to the DvL, and 718, the old DvL, got promoted to CmD. I'm happy about that, I like both of them, and and excited by the fact that they are continuing to scale the ranks of the CCA.

Another thing that has been bugging me is 101's transfer out of NOVA. Him and I are good friends, but he's moved on to join GRID. Boy, I'll tell you, the High Command of NOVA was NOT happy, considering he didn't even talk to 718 before transferring. When he left NOVA, he also had to leave the NFT. That means that due to ongoing cases, he had to be brainwashed. I have to watch what I say to him. I'm fine with it, it's just bothersome that he has random gaps in his memory.

I think I pretty much covered everything for now. I've been working hard to get my next promotion, and I will continue to. ||::>

<::|| *A man's voice with a slight Panamanian accent is talking* So, uh, I guess this is my second private log. I'm not used to talking to myself into this thing, but it's better than anything else. Not much to do around this city while I'm off duty. I need to find something to occupy my time.

Anyways, I've been promoted to the rank of 04 today. 718 gave me one hell of a scare while doing it, too. He acted as if I had done something wrong, and was going to demote me from my position. Shit, I was thinking he was about to put a bullet in my head- Are we even allowed to curse in these things? Eh, fuck it, they are called personal logs for a reason. *A chuckle can be heard.*

It feels great being an 04, although it's not much of a change. Just some new Kevlar really. Hmm... what else... oh, I was promoted in the Forensics Division of NOVA from Trainee to Entry Level Investigator. I've actually already completed all of the new training available to me except for one Forensics course. I was going to finish it, but 938 had some other stuff to do.

Right, that's another thing I wanted to talk about. Forensics. I think it was one of the best choices I've made since joining the CCA. I mean, as of right this second, there's only 3 of us: Myself, 101, and 938. Either way, I genuinely enjoy both what we do, and who I work with. I mean, even before the CCA I knew 101- George. It's weird, calling him 101, when I've known him for ages as "George". We both seem to get along with 938 well enough, I like him.

*A sigh can be heard*Well, I guess that's it. There's been a lot of stuff happening, but I feel like I covered the most important things. ||::>

Half-Life 2 Roleplay / Re: The Catalyst Issue (Major flame.)
« on: May 23, 2012, 07:53:03 PM »
As I said, I didn't mention names for a reason. I never said "Statua you are immature, and don't know what you're doing.". I said that the Garry's Mod community in general is immature, and doesn't know what they are doing. I never said "You are all immature and you don't know what you're doing." (Which you claim I did.)

I personally have no problems with anyone at Catalyst, although I do think some think that they are a lot more mature then they really are, I really don't have a problem with them.

I never once mentioned the CCA, or really HL2RP at all. I never once said that it was disorganized. I said that a server can't be run as a total democracy. Also, I agree, NOVA is greatly organized- I have a unit in NOVA(280).

Lastly, I really haven't been apart of CG for long at all, and haven't seen any suggestions that would "cause failure". I am talking out of my experiences with past servers where things are ran with too much of a democracy, and have ultimately after a while lead to the closing of the server.

All I'm really saying is that majority of Garry's Mod players are immature, and aren't experienced enough to make certain decisions. Thus, I think that running a server with a full on democracy is not a good idea. Once again, I didn't mean to offend anyone with the posting of my message, and if I did, I apologize.  I'm just sharing my experiences.

While I firmly believe that the community should be able to give input, and see results from their input, running a democracy on a Garry's Mod server doesn't work.

Let's face it: The Garry's Mod community is a bunch of stuck up teenagers who think they are a lot more mature than they really are. It's a bunch of people who think they know what they are doing, but really don't have a fucking clue. It's full of people who think they know what's best, but really don't. If Rofl left everything up to the community, and every decision was made based off a vote by the community, it would crash and burn. The Garry's Mod community (Yes, even CG) is overall not mature, or intelligent enough to know what it takes to run a server.

That being said, I'm not saying that Rofl should make decisions for his own good, and his own good alone. I think that listening to community input is very important, actually. I'm saying that people can't flip every time someone makes a decision without clearing it with the entire community.

You sir are a hypocrit.

Not 100% sure which part of that post makes me a hypocrite, please do explain.

DBK- Yes, those were generalizations. I never mentioned names for a specific reason: Not every player Garry's Mod player falls under them. I'm saying that overall, the Garry's Mod community is immature, is over-confident, and lacks the experience and know-how to run a server.

Sorry if I offended anyone, it wasn't my purpose. I was just stating my observations from my personal experience in Garry's Mod.

The Journal of Rokus Relici

I've been in City 45 for a while now. If you asked me how long, I honestly couldn't accuratley tell you. City 45 has a way of dragging you into the dull monotony of conformity. I try to avoid it as best as I can, but for some reason the threat of having a stun stick shoved so far up my ass that you can see blue coming out of my mouth has a way of keeping me from purposely pissing off the CP. No longer having RGPI has softened me. I used to be shot at daily, now I'm scared of a damned stun stick. I haven't even touched a gun in years. I need to get back on track, what I wanted to write about.

I found this book on the body of a woman today. I wish I could say that I was unaware of how she died, but I know all too well. Actually, if it wasn't for us, she'd still be alive. It's not like we want to kill them, but sometimes it's just out of our control. I mean, if they don't listen, what else are we to do? Well, many times, it's their own fault... but sometimes... we fuck up. This is one of those times.

Andrew and I were waiting down by the pit, while the rest stayed back. We were waiting for our next source of income. While exchanging small chit chat, we saw her. She came waltzing out of the tunnel like it was no big deal. She was obviously new to the city. She looked young, 29 I'd say, but shit, no one looks their age in this town. We both decided that she was perfect. After breifly radioing Tyler, Vex, and Tom letting them kmow to prepare the bar, Andrew and I split up. There wasn't any talking when Andrew and I split up; we had done this tons of times. We knew exactly what we were doing.

Andrew approached the woman from the front. He was extremely kind, and offered his assistance to her. Eventually their conversation was cut short when I came in from behind, grabbed her by the neck, and squeezed the breath out of her. After a minute or so, she laid on the ground unconcious. We dragged her back to the bar, where the boys were already ready with the secret back room. We threw her in there, and waited for her to wake up.

She started out like everyone else; resisting to our demands at first. After a while though, she realized there was no good. Even if a savior came along, there was no way they could outmatch all five of us. We demanded everything she had. She eventually handed over what she had. That consisted of a suitcase, and 100 coins. Things went smoothly, until this moment. Tyler had made a mistake that had cost the woman her life: He adressed me as Rokus infront of her.

Our descriptions alone were not enough to get us caught, considering that we didnt have any features that stood out. However, I swear I have to be the only Rokus in City 45. That was enough to warrant her death. Vex put her out this time, and we all dragged her to the train station. We had no other simple way of killing someone, so we always used the same method: electrocution. She awoke when we got to the station. Before we pushed her onto the tracks, she said something that bothered me. She called us a gang of no good thugs.

I guess this bothered me because I had never thought of us as a gang before. Sure, we mugged people together, but it never processed that we would be considerred a gang. Either way, it only took a second for the tracks to char her. Using a wooden beam we managed to get her off the tracks and search her. On her, I found this. This tiny charred book.

I need rest, I'll write more later.

//This journal is kept either on Rokus' person, or hidden at all times. Nothing read here can be used ICly unless it is found.

<::|| The faint sound of a voice can be heard through a vocoder "Unit 280 is 10-7" After a few muffled shuffling sounds, a male's voice without a vocoder can be heard with a slight panamanian accent, this time clearly closer to the device. "NOVA Unit 280, Rank 05, Private Log Entry 1.

It's only been a week and a half since I've joined the CCA, and things are going fairly smooth. After a week as a recruit, I was promoted to the rank of 05. I have to admit, I was quite excited. Not having to make sure I have a partner with me every time I want to patrol is one hell of a relief. It's a lot more effective then having to stick by someone's side 24/7.

A lot of things are changing within the CCA. One of these things have worked in my favor, and that is the ability to transfer to a new division at the rank of 05. Due to that, I was able to be transferred from UNIFORM to NOVA. I have to say, I love it here in NOVA. It's great knowing that I have the knowledge to help my fellow units, and the citizens. Unit 101 was also instated into NOVA, which I find great, because that way I'm not going through the ranks by myself, and I actually have a unit I know there with me. In addition, we we both joined the Forensics division of NOVA.

I recently recieved a lot of training including Breaching, Basic Medical, Basic Evidence Gathering, Respiratory Therapy, and a bunch of other things. I often find myself wondering if we are actually going to use everything we learn. I do have to say though, recently all the training came in handy. Over the passed couple of days, besides the usual detainment of citizens, I had to stitch up a citizen, and attempted to assist a citizen with a gunshot wound to the chest; however, I was unsuccessful with that one. Unfortunately, there were no units trained in surgery available at the time.

I'm in better shape than ever, and I feel that I'm really helping the City by maintaining order in the city. ||::>

Adelmo Sucre's Civil Authority Application

OOC Name: ReDrUm (Constantly changing with variations; however the base is always "ReDrUm".)

IC Character Name: Adelmo Sucre

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
Adelmo Sucre wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority because he believes that the Universal Union is the only thing stopping the world from turning to hell. He grew up in the harsh environment of Panama, where he worked hard just to get by. He learned how to work hard when he was working at a coffee bean factory. He spent hours on end gathering, washing, and preparing coffee beans. Coffee being one of Panama's biggest exports at the time, there was always a lot of pressure to be flawless.

The work he did was long, hard, and exhausting. The pay was low, and he often came home with minor injuries from the old, rusty machinery that they used. However, Sucre didn't mind. He was grateful for what he had, and he was prepared to sacrifice everything he had for that job. Unfortunately for Sucre, not all of the workers felt the same as him. They felt as if they were underpaid, and mistreated. The workers of the factory eventually decided to go on a strike. They did no work at all for weeks straight, and the government wasn't happy about it. They began losing hundreds of thousands of dollars due to the lack of coffee exports. Eventually, they had enough.

One day, as the workers were protesting out front of the factory, the Panamanian military swooped in from the woods. Shouting. Screaming. Crying. Gunshots. The military began arresting all of the workers. Any who were non-compliant were shot immediately with no warning. Sucre, being one of the few workers who actually continued to work at the factory, ran outside to see what was happening. What he saw at first disgusted him, but as he watched, it slowly made him happy. He thought that these people who were ungrateful for what they were given, and deserved what they got. As Sucre watched the massacre, a member of the military spotted him. "Hey, you! On the ground! Now!" he shouted at Sucre.

"No, you don't understand-!" He tried to scream before being cut off.

"On the ground!" He roared back, raising his 9mm pistol to eye level, putting Sucre in his sights.

"But-" He was cut off by the sound of a gunshot. The man purposely missed Sucre; however, Sucre didn't know that. Out of instinct, Sucre began running into the wooded area surrounding the factory. He could hear the boots crunching on the leaves behind him. This is where he made the worst mistake possible. To this day, he still doesn't know what possessed him to do this, but he did. Sucre ran home, leading the military right to his wife and son. Sucre ran inside slammed the door shut; however, it only took the Panamanian military a second to break through. Sucre was tackled to the ground by a number of soldiers. As one took his gun out and pointed it at Sucre's head, he noticed Sucre's wife and child.

"Déjalo." That meant "Leave him" in Spanish. Without thinking about it, the soldier turned, raised his weapon, and fired two shots. One hitting Sucre's wife in the head, the other hitting his son in the chest. He turned to Sucre. "Piensa antes de actuar." Think before you act. Without another word, the military left his home, leaving Sucre to mourn his losses alone. Sucre heeded the soldiers words.

Sucre believes that if it wasn't for the Civil Disobedience of the Citizens of Panama, then his wife, and son would still be alive today. Adelmo Sucre wishes to prevent the same thing from happening again to another man. He believes that if he was a member of the CCA, that he would be able to help with the issue.

(Sorry, it's a bit lengthy.)

2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)
Hardworking, loyal, respectful, dependable.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
I'm expecting a whole new style of role playing. Being a citizen, you experience the oppressed side of Half Life 2 Role playing. I expect that being in the CCA will give me an idea on what it is like to actually have some authority, and show me the less oppressed side of role playing that HL2RP has to offer.

Another thing that intrigues me about being in the CCA is the new authority. I think that the acquirement of authority, but at the same time, lack of authority would be interesting for developing a character. Having an authority over the citizens of City45, yet being under the law of anyone who outranks you could create some fantastic role playing scenarios. Over all, I'm expecting to experience a new side of HL2RP, and just some good role playing in general.

4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
Adelmo Sucre was born in Panama at a small house located out in the middle of the woods. Much of his life was spent secluded from the rest of society, only his parents to occupy him. Despite the seclusion, Sucre actually had a great childhood. He was raised in a loving family, got a good education, and had a lot of free time to do whatever he wanted to do. However, when Sucre reached his late teenage years, his mother and father both fell ill, and unfortunately passed away.

This heart crushing event created a new chapter in Sucre's life. After the death of his parents, he decided to move to a more populated area. He took what he had left, and began renting a small apartment in a small city 50 miles or so out from Panama City. Little did Sucre know, that city would lay in ruins in within the next ten years due to the Seven Hour War. While there, he found work at a major coffee bean factory a mile away from the city. It was hard work, but it paid for the apartment he lived in, and the food he ate. Sucre didn't exactly asked for much, he didn't need entertainment, and he didn't need luxuries. He just wanted to get by. He kept this attitude for a long time, but eventually, he met the love of his life while jogging around the city one day.

It was love and first sight, and the two naturally clicked. They dated for a while, but eventually wedded. They then had a beautiful baby son. Sucre had never been happier in his life. He had a job that paid well enough, and two people that he would do anything in the world for. Soon enough though, that all would change. One day, during a labor strike at the factory he worked at, the Panamanian Military arrived and chased Sucre back to his house. Ultimately, it led to the death of his wife and son. (I would go more into detail about this; however, I feel it would be redundant due to the fact that I just posted a wall of text about it in the first question.)

Sucre spiraled into a depression after this. He grew a hatred for anyone who went against the government. He believed that they knew exactly what was best for the government, and that people who act out against them only start trouble. Sucre sulked for a while on this. He turned into a robot for a while, waking up, walking to work, working, walking back, then going to sleep. Repeat.  Little did he know, his life, along with everyone else's life was about to change forever.

Sucre was assigned to City32 when the Combines first took over Earth. Sucre was uplifted by the event. He saw them as the perfect leaders for the world. They made sure that no one was harming other people directly, or indirectly. Their methods may have been unorthodox, but they worked, and they kept people in line. Sucre immediately did whatever he could in order to assist the combine. Sometimes it would be turning in people who were being uncivil, or eavesdropping on a conversation between a contraband dealer and his customer. He felt good, knowing that he was helping prevent people from suffering from his same fate.

Eventually, for a reason unknown to him, he was transferred to City45. He didn't notice much of a difference between the two cities. He made some friends in the new city, and continued his life as normal; turning in anyone he could in order to help the city. Now, Adelmo Sucre has decided that he wants to take the next step in protecting the citizens of the city.

5) Have you ever had a CCA character here at Catalyst Gaming?  If so, explain why it was removed.
No.

OOC Details

1. How long have you played on role-playing servers in general?
I started whenever I purchased Garry's Mod. I was actually a staff member on 3 servers, one of which was actually ranked the ninth best Garry's Mod server at the time.

2. How long have you played on serious servers?
A long time, although I haven't kept track. I know that I played on the CG Outlands server for a while back in August of 2011.

3. How long have you played on Catalyst Gaming?
I used to play on the Outlands server back in August of 2011, but there was a long gap between then and when I returned, which was about 2, almost 3 weeks ago.

4. What Time zone are you in?
EST

5. In what country do you live?
United States.

6. How old are you?
16

7. Whats your most memorable quality RP experience?
My most memorable RP experience would have to be one time back on a DarkRP server. If you are familiar with WWII, you know that there were a number of war time conferences. This was exactly like those, except it included the leaders of all the gangs/"businesses" of the server. My character, Rokus Relici, whose life I continued on the CG HL2RP server, was the leader of one of the "businesses", RGPI. Now, it would be impossible to recreate the entire thing over text here, due to the fact that it was RPed out over a weeks time, but it ended in a treaty between the gangs of the server. The treaty included a declaration of war on the government; however, at the end of the meeting, the conference house was stormed by police, and the leaders of the gangs were incarcerated, resulting in many attempted jail breaks. Based on the fact that we got everyone on the server to correctly RP on DarkRP is pretty amazing, considering most people who play DarkRP can't roleplay for their lives.

8. Do you consider yourself a good listener?
I do.

Half-Life 2 Roleplay / Re: New OOC time?
« on: May 02, 2012, 03:30:22 PM »
I've played on HL2RP where the global OOC is completely disabled to regular users, and it worked out perfectly fine. I think the time should be set higher.

Character Section

Authorization(s):
-The ability deceive better than most people.

Name: Rokus Relici
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Affiliation: None

Write a detailed in-canon back-story how your character obtained these authorizations.
Rokus was born to be a business man. 60 years ago his father, Dimitar Relici, began a small business called Relici Business Partners, or RBP for short. The business did nearly anything to make some money; however, the business specialized in one area. This area was crime. RBP sold many narcotics, weapons, pretty much anything that was hard to get a hold of, or illegal. The business prospered for a long time, and when Rokus turned 20, he took over as CEO.

Being the head of a company like this, Rokus had to learn to lie. He worked with cops often, always dodging the evidence thrown at him. He learned his first lesson in the deceptive arts when he first took over the company. "Who do you think you are fooling, boy!?" The officer screamed at Rokus. "I've been chasing you for too damned long to let you get off now."

"Officer, I swear, I didn't steal the guns! Even if I did, I would've moved them back to the warehouse by now!" Rokus screamed back. As the words left his mouth, he realized he made a huge mistake. The cop began laughing as he began shouting orders at the other officers around the room.

"Boys, get to the RBP warehouse, have a look at what's there. I have a feeling you'll find some guns." The officer said condescendingly. "As for you..." He said while looking over Rokus. He swiftly rose up his pistol, and smacked Rokus in the head with it, knocking him out instantly. Rokus was sentenced to 10 years in jail for stealing the guns, however, he was let out after two years due to some technicalities... and a lot of money.

Those two years spent in jail taught Rokus how to deceive people. It was necessary for survival, to get food, to get water, to get money. Rokus swore to himself that he'd never make the same mistake again. He taught himself to make up an entire alibi in a matter of seconds, how to keep his story straight no matter what. RBP dissolved shortly before the 7 hour war; however, Rokus' ability to lie did not. Years of being a business man had taught him to lie to do what had to be done, even in the face of death.

What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects?
Perks
-The ability to lie, and coerce better than most people.

Defects
-The Little Boy Who Cried Wold Syndrome- People may notice that Rokus lies often, and may not believe him at all, even when telling the truth.
-The ability may just not work on some people.

What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
I plan to use it in order to further develop my character, avoid sticky situations, and coerce people into making deals. I think that this authorization would allow Rokus to truly become Rokus. He is supposed to be a shady man who lies, cheats, and steals in order to get by. Being able to deceive people is a huge part of him, being able to coerce and lie will make the character that much more complete.

Will anyone else need these auths? (If so, list OOC and IC name(s))
No.

Which server does this apply for?
City

Extra Notes (optional):
This character was used on another server, which is where the story came from. Everything stated (Minus the history of the RPB) actually happened (The part with the cop, and going to jail and learning to lie.) I wish to re-develop this character on this server as much as he was on the last.

**Edited to add better spacing in the back-story part.
