There should be a grammar and punctuation check, That was people who are not grammar Nazis can still have good grammar for forums, It can also help with applications too, Its not cheating but more of a good way to accept forum applications without getting rid of them for something someone can not find out, You expect people to find the grammar errors themselves and deny them because of grammar issues, Lots of typing programs have Grammar check like Microsoft word, So why dont you do and then you can save people time and failure.

Write a 5 paragraph backstory of your character that reveals their qualifications for the position (One paragraph = 4 sentences)
Heinrich was born in the late 20th century to a Upper-power class,His mother was a Brain surgeon and His father was a Wall Street broker, When he was 5 Heinrich was sent to Russia for private tutoring, His teacher a man named Yuri Slavdrapov, He was mean man to Heinrich but he thought him to learn and to spell and read, Heinrich was 17 when was sent to Oldfield Ivy-league University which was a few miles from his home, He slept in very clean dorm which had the smell of China which Heinrich took a vacation too, Heinrich was thought many things about the Brain and particles and many more, His favorite was the one were he took chemistry, And after months and days of work he knew that his brain would be ready for hard working science even if it killed him.
Heinrich was now worthy enough of a PHD in medical history, He realized that if he could find a new way to use medicine then he could basically solve the worlds problems, He introduced a new way of lobotomy which he solved with a dummy and a few items, He slipped a railway spike trough the dummy head and then told them about Phineas Gage and how he had a railway spike trough his head too, And told them that his personality was changed when the spike went trough, So he used a lobotomy tactic and was able to reattach his brain if the parts were found.
Heinrich was given the PHD and was then awarded with a Doctor of Science doctorate which was one of the higher doctorates, Heinrich worked so hard for the award he even read most of his books about medicine to get it most of his sweat and blood fell into this award, And when he graduated he even was able to get a job interview for a psychiatric job in medicine, He was sent to Oldfield asylum one the most Highly mental distraught holding building in the country, The boss of him was Heinrich's idea of a: "Sadistic Authoritarian figure of the building." Heinrich was please to meet his boss and told him about his position and the boss said "Well get started on you work then your going to Area 2." Heinrich walked to Area 2 it was hell and he knew it so he walked into the building and entered a room which a man was in there for being mentally distraught, The man was fond of Heinrich and was a friend of his for a few months where Heinrich slowly but successfully helped guide the man to a better part.
Physics: He quited his job from the asylum and got a job as as theoretical physicist, His job was to prove the Multiverse theory, He never knew that Xen existed but when the portal storms would start then he would be able to prove it, So his co-workers tried to help him with the equation but it did not add up, He needed proof of a parallel universes and he knew how to get it, Heinrich started reading about black holes and found the greatest theory he ever discovered, "What if black holes are the entrances to the Multiverse universes?" "How do you know that if the black holes were entrances?" "Its a theory i mean nobody has came into a black hole and told the tale, But it will only work if we can use our minds." "Multiverses are unlimited in both small and big differences, Like someone would fall or not fall, Or someone would screw up a military operation and blow up the world, Its just a matter of time."
Author: Heinrich's first book was: Authoritarianism at its finest which was about totalitarian leaders and their reasons for getting into totalitarianism His second book was: TT which was about a way to heal people and stop stress which was just a theory where the hand was 1 inch above the body, And it worked and Heinrich was given a Emmy for the documentary and made another book as he was just starting, But his third book was never started and this was the reason.
3 minutes after the Black mesa incident: Howard was looking out the apartment window with his pen and paper making the third book and noticing the clouds start to go dark and storms starting, Heinrich was not a geologist but he knew that this would be bad, The Portal storm ravaged the city and dropped Xen lifeforms into the city, Heinrich was calm he knew that if he just sat down and watch TV then he would be Ok, Howard looked out and started to mumble something along the lines of: "you know i could use this to prove my Multiverse theory." Heinrich ran out of the apartment and took his Rolls Royce out of town were he needed to escape, The car was dead and he needed to find shelter.
Heinrich ran 3 miles away from the city and took a nap in a abandoned caravan, When he woke up a day later he saw the city ravaged by the Portals, He made it to a Civil Protection checkpoint , a Combine officer pointed a gun at him and Heinrich what he was told, The combine officer gestured him to a Train and he got on, As the only passenger on the train he knew that his strong point would not break, He took a book to read and read it while he waited, After reading the book he took a shower and was then given a Citizen Boiler suit and a Citizen CID, After getting off the train and reaching city 59 he was ordered to go to the Nexus which was a few miles away from him, Heinrich reached his destination and was sent to the lobby, A Officer told him: "You are a particle physicist and a psychiatrist are you not?" Heinrich then replied: "I am a psychiatrist and a particle physicist." The Officer then said "We need men like you in our line of work, Men with your potential can help the Combine and we need someone like you." Heinrich then said: "I know i have the potential." The Officer then said: "Fine your train is going to city 45 were you will stay good luck sir." Heinrich gave him a snappy salute and said "I best go before i need to wait any longer." Heinrich was put in the train and looked at the CP units come on to the train, The unit said to Heinrich: "Citizen name and Citizen identification." Heinrich then replied: "Heinrich Schlitz. #10350" The CP then said: "Oh you are Heinrich, We were looking for you and we will guide you to city 45." Heinrich looked stern and said: "The officer said that they needed me but for what?" The CP then gestured to the Commanding officer of the unit and she said "Well now you are going in the train and you will be sent to city 45 to help with the administration, I hope that suits you." Heinrich looked at them with disbelief and said "I thought i was just getting recruited and now i am being a Civil administrator, I think i will stay on the train and wait until i go to City 24 were i will start my new job." The Commanding officer then told him: "It will be a few hours so dont get giddy." She pointed the Units to the train doors and left.
Heinrich reached City 45 and looked around after he got outside, The memorial was dark and the Nexus was bright as day, A Cp officer then looked at Heinrich and said: "Apply." Heinrich told the officer: "Heinrich Schlitz #10350.", The officer then told him: "Hello sir we were expecting you, please follow me." The officer took him to the Nexus lobby were he was told to wait and read a UU Branded Book, After extensive researching he knew that the Combine were really interesting and a helpful hand, He looked at the people outside in the Nexus, They were disappointing and malnourished they did not care for life or food all they wanted was redemption and salvation, Howard knew that if the people didn't want to live then they would kill themselves and that would be bad business for the Combine, He thought of ways that the Combine could fix the problem and be awarded with work and labor for the Citizens, But working for food and not money, The Cp came back with a application for him to write, He wrote down everything and was made Civil Administrator.
Heinrich put his feet on the desk and looked around looking happy, He shook his head up and down with a smile on his face, Howard looked at the screen which had nothing on, Heinrich was starting to laugh, "This could be beneficial for both the Combine and me." Heinrich was starting to go dull and started twitching, "What to do now?" Heinrich ceased twitching and then went to get something to eat, He walked down the corridor and fixed his tie, He took a can of water and then walked into the office were he was staying, Heinrich never felt like this, His mind was getting to him and he needed a break.

Howard Biggs's Civil Authority ApplicationOOC Name: Dublinjd IC Character Name: Howard Biggs 1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.Howard always wanted to keep the peace, Since elementary school he was a hall monitor, It was a small job but it kept people from doing harm, Howard then was made a prefect and would help the headmaster with tasks. Howard was always loyal to his superiors, He never got in trouble with his teacher and his bosses, Howard also was in the right side of the law, Even after he went to City 45 he has been loyal. Howard gained 1 loyalist point for cleaning the nexus barricade and never was detained, He never done a misdemeanor or a crime, He always remained on the CP side of the city so he would be safe from crime, Plus Howard could always do something helpful such as: Clean, Wash, Polish, And many others. 2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)Howard is: Loyal- He has never got in trouble with anyone and is very obedient. Persistent- He never gave up on anything and was always going to continue his work until he was done. Smart- He has a very smart way of putting things. 3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.Howard would strive in the CCA, His job would not be a boring work day, Howard version of the CCA is a wonderful helpful opportunity, He is not interested in violence and killing but peacekeeping. Howard always admired the CCA so he would love the opportunity, The experience would be marvelous, His idea of the CCA is a peacekeeping haven of all that is good, If he got the job then he would work to his limit, So if he was getting the job he would not just lounge around all day, He would get to work. 4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.-Childhood: Howard was born in Yugoslavia in 1985, His mother was a doctor and his father was a banker, When he was 5 his mother said to his father: "We should send Howard here to a Private school, He has been a smart boy so he should get a smart education." Howard was sent to a Russian school for smart kids, He got trough the school pretty easy and was then sent to a Prep school, Were he has a interest in science. -Adulthood: Howard was starting his study to earn a Bachelors physics, He gained the degree and started working on astrophysics and cryptology, He would go to the observatory every night and look at space to see if he was going to find aliens or a new star, Howard found this was getting him nowhere so he gave the job one last chance before he would quit. -Seven Hour war: Howard was looking into space with his scope, He saw nothing but starts and the sun, Howard was angry and starting screaming at space, But suddenly he looked out the window and saw Portals transporting Xen creatures into the area, Howard was amazed he never knew that this was going to happen, So he decided to stay inside and wait, Before he knew it the portals raged and started ripping holes in the observatory, Howard screamed and ran to the exit, A bang was heard and Howard fell to the ground. He woke up and saw xen beings running to the City, Howard was shocked and he needed to get out of the country, Howard got into his car and drove, He thought about what would happen if he was caught by one of them, Howard pulled the break and a Combine officer stopped him, Heinrich got out of the car and was putted inside a bus. -Bus ride: The bus was a Prison bus, It had bars around it like a tank, Howard was not angry just confused, He asked a combine guard: "Could i get something to eat?" The combine guard gave Howard a citizen supplement and some breen water, Howard thanked the man and grabbed a book from the bottom of the chair, He read the title: 1984 by George Orwell, It was a dull gray book with a man pointing to Howard saying: "Big Brother is watching you." Howard was not delighted with the book but he read it. After reading it he thought that this would be one of his futures, He started remembering quotes from the book, "The thought police would get him just the same. He had committed--would have committed, even if he had never set pen to paper--the essential crime that contained all others in itself. Thoughtcrime, they called it. Thoughtcrime was not a thing that could be concealed forever. You might dodge successfully for a while, even for years, but sooner or later they were bound to get you." Howard knew that hating the Combine would result in death, "People simply disappeared, always during the night. Your name was removed from the registers, every record of everything you had ever done was wiped out, your one-time existence was denied and then forgotten. You were abolished, annihilated: vaporized was the usual word." Howard knew that the Combine would take people off the streets and make sure they would be "Non persons." "In our world, there can only be triumph and self-abasement. Everything else, we will destroy." Howard knew that the word feelings would be restricted. Howard knew that this was one of the most gruesome things possible, But what would the positives be? "This is our land. A land of peace and of plenty. A land of harmony and hope. This is our land. Oceania. These are our people. The workers, the strivers, the builders. These are our people. The builders of our world, struggling, fighting, bleeding, dying. On the streets of our cities and on the far-flung battlefields. Fighting against the mutilation of our hopes and dreams. Who are they? -Relocation Howard took the book and was sent to a train, It was a normal train with a New york subway look, Howard sat down and look around, He asked a guard the time of when he would reach the location, "3 hours." Howard looked at the clock it was broken, Howard thought that Orwell was right, It has begun, Howard looked at the camera, He then looked at a propaganda poster, It said: Obey the administrator, Howard could not believe it, The Orwellian themed nightmare had emerged, He thought about the things Winston done, He was sent to Room 101 for torture so Howard should do the opposite of what Winston done, Howard asked the Combine officer if he could read the book, The Combine officer allowed him. 2 hours and 30 minutes later: Howard was in the shower with his luffa sponge, He scrubbed himself with it, The CCA officer gave him a Boiler suit With a vest, A pair of socks, A pair of boots and a Citizen ID. -Reaching City 45: Howard walked outside the station and looked at the Nexus, Howard knew what it was, He looked at the broadcast: "Hello citizens of City 45, This is your Civil Administrator, We have news that rations are coming in a hour." Howard did not need it but he got some, Howard got 1000 Credits from a total of all his rations and bought 2 permits. -Business: Howard sat down and looked at the UU branded books, They were interesting and fun to read, Howard did not have a reason to read them but he read them anyway, Howard remembered some 1984 quotes about Propaganda: "It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could give you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself – anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. Howard was happy, He was loyal and friendly, Even if the world was strict he would follow orders when given. -Coming home- Howard came to his apartment house and looked at the TV screen, It was talking about propaganda and City Values, Howard walked to the kitchen and took a ration, Howard looked at the TV and knew that this was getting interesting, The door broke down and 2 CCA officers came into his apartment, "Citizen #10359, You are under arrest for carrying a weapon, Prepare for Civil Judgement and Amputation, Howard then laughed and said: "I am Citizen #10358 you are looking for the guy next door." The CCA then said: "Ok, Thanks for the tip citizen." Howard heard screams coming from his neighbors room, Howard looked at the TV and it showed the CA making a speech. -Bio-Hazard: "Citizens a bio hazard has reached the city, Please remain indoors." Howard looked and he saw Zombies running a muck, Howard then screamed and watched the CCA shoot and kill the zombies, One zombie ran to the Apartment and saw Howard, Howard screamed again and ran upstairs, The zombie chased after him, But Howard was able to escape outside and run to the Plaza. -Loyalty: Howard found out that his Loyalty was the highest thing he could gain, Howard helped the Combine by: Polishing their shoes, Washing their Memorial, Cleaning the Nexus barricade and other tasks, Howard then started to become a full time citizen, Howard decided that if he was going to live then he would need to follow the opposite of what Winston done, He needed to think back to 1984: : "A hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledgehammer, seemed to flow through the whole group of people like an electric current, turning one even against one's will into a grimacing, screaming lunatic." I woke up and saw that all he knew was dead, Howard was then relocated to city 45 on a train, The razor train was dull and depressing it looked like a piece of alien machinery outside but inside was normal, I walked to my cabin i saw nobody on the train, It was just me and some Combine guards, I did not think negatively about the invasion he thought it was his new chance of life, The train ride would be long so I looked around for a book or computer, I found one of the only books on the train I picked the book up and read the cover, 1984 by George Orwell, I was not delighted but read the book, Its cover did not take my eye but it could make the illusion of time going faster, I read it within 18 hours the book resembled what was my future, Howard revised over the book it seemed like it was like a coincidence, The Combine would probably use most of the tactics of the book: They would use propaganda and watch the citizens on telescreens, And they would torture and brainwash all people, I knew that this would be "Room 101", I thought if the government would be this way then he might as well done the reverse of what the main protagonist done in the book. -The train ride I woke up to the waking of a Combine soldier shaking on him,I opened my eyes and asked what was going on, The combine replied saying "2 more hours until we reach c45!, I then replied by saying "Why don't you just wake me when we reached the location?", The combine replied with a snigger and said "Because you need to get ready", "Get to the showers now!", I soaked Myself with the luffa, After that i was then given a Citizen uniform and a CID, Howard looked at the clock 9 minutes to go until he reached his destination, Time went slow and painful I took a bite of my ration that the guard gave me, 3 minutes to go, I took a sip of my breen water, 30 seconds to go, I then took my suitcase up and exited my cabin, 2 seconds to go, The smoke disappeared from the train station, I stepped down and was checked, I opened the gate went outside the train station, I Went to the Civil Housing and bought a room which I spent the night in. -Business I was interviewed for a book and general goods permit, He opened up his shop and sold stuff for quite a while until he quited his job and went to work as something else and after that he gave up. -City life "City 45 is one of the most civil place in the world" ,"Sure it is not heaven but it is Civil haven", If I wanted a chance at giving this up then i would keep city 45 up and running, "If the world was control ed by the Combine since day one it would of been the best part of human history at least that is what i think". -Loyalty "I was never in trouble with anyone in my life," "The Combine gave me the haven and i swear to protect this haven from all of the dastardly things that mankind has made over the past years", "I loved the Combine and realized that i should live cooperatively with them."

Howard Biggs's Civil Authority ApplicationOOC Name: Dublinjd IC Character Name: Howard Biggs 1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.Howard was and still is a loner,He always believed in himself after the 7 Hour war, Even if he is a loner and a loyalist he still is brave, After he got off the train his life was changed forever,He would wish for one chance at life again,So he believed that the haven could be his new home. If he wanted to help the Combine and the UU,He would need to start his life over were it stopped,He could try being better with his life,He needed a way,He realized if he became a CP then he could help his overlords, Even if it was going to kill him, He would endure torture and pain to join the CCA and that is that he will endure. -Adulthood When he became 18 he was sent to a Ivy-league university, He was sent to learn biology, It was simple just learn about vital and non-vital organs, He also done lectures about how to dissect a frog and other dead animals, He then started to learn Cryptozoology, He found that the jackalope has a biological called Shope Papilloma which made tumors that looked like antlers on the rabbits head. -Job Howard now got a job in cryptology were he studied aliens, He did not get much of a job out of it, But he believed that there was aliens, He never knew about the combine he just knew that aliens do exist, When he quited his job at the university he tried another, He became a Wall street broker like his father, Which ended in him earning nothing, His family had a long talk with him, His father was happy for Howard and he loved Howard with every bone in his body, Howard loved his father and mother and realized that they would always love each other even if Howard's parents Separated, Howard knew that if that happens then he would use his IQ to his advantage, Howard stated that if he was going to start a new life in Yugoslavia then he would need a backup plan, Howard was one of the men in the world who was smart and successful, Howard was going to try and start a life on his own but he needed more money to get a new life, He continued his job at the university and was given ten thousand dollars, He bought a house in the suburbs and lived his life as a man. -Seven hour war When Howard was in the street getting Chinese food he looked up, looking up he saw a combine mother ship, Howard was right about the aliens but that was not the time to start about it again, He ran to a soviet memorial in Yugoslavia, He hid in the memorial pretending to be dead, After he woke up he opened a hatch and looked at the city, It was in ruins Howard looked at the destruction with disgust, He was then taken prisoner and put in a Combine Razor Train, Howard knew that this could be the end for him, He looked around the train for something to do, He was alone in the train, Nobody but the CCA guards in the carriage with him, It looked like it was a normal train, He asked a guard to see if a book was on the train, The guard came back with a book the Howard would read and compare to the current situation, The book 1984 by George Orwell, This book was one of the only books that came to the situation, He compared everything in the book to his own life, The government in the book would use bombs to kill citizens so that food would not have to waste, The government in the book they did with others the only way they can with totalitarianism",He thought this bitterly, He thanked the Combine guard for the book, And said to him "If you want to find out what will happen after this read it", The guard said "The train ride will be over in a few days and i will try and read the book it is my break", Howard thought of everything in the book, Howard's only moment of disgust to the book was "Room 101", That name seemed hopeless and crude, "Room 101" Howard thought bitterly, He asked the guard if he could have something to eat, The guard went to the food carriage, Howard could not get the name out of his head, He found a quote from the book, The main protagonist from the book was sent to room 101 because he had broken a rule, A rule the combine would later use, Sex-crime and thought-crime, Howard knew that these rules would be enforced in the later future, Howard still had a few days to go until he reached city 45- formerly Russia, If Howard had any plans after he got of the train that would be to buy a house and sit down for the rest of his life, When a UU officer came to Howard's room, He said "You read the book haven't you?",Howard replied "Yes i have its the most realistic dream in the world", The UU officer said "But it is not a dream anymore its life", Howard was pleased and said "Well what if i want to life that life?", The UU officer said "Well i trust that you are a loyalist?", Howard replied "I doubt anyone is a loyalist to men who killed 80 percent of the people in the world but i guess i might be the only loyalist on this train who is not a combine", The UU officer smiled and said "Well i read your file and it says you never were in trouble", Howard said "That is correct i have been the only one in class who never was in trouble", The UU said "What did you work as before we took you"?, Howard replied "I was a cyptologist", The UU said "Were you able to find the Combine when you had you job?", Howard sighed "Well no at least not before the mother ship attacked Yugoslavia, The UU pointed out "If you think we are aliens then we are not", Howard was speechless, The UU said "We are not aliens just highly intellectual Beings, Howard was impressed by the information the UU told him about, The speechless man said "Well i am one of those men who are highly intellectual i can not pose a threat to you", The UU snapped "Oh yes you are anybody can be a anti-citizen to the Combine you are one of those people who can shout out about free speech!" Howard replied "How can i be a person who can do that i Howard H Biggs promises you that i will not cause a problem or a threat to the Combine!", The UU was impressed "You do not have a problem in physical and mental capability", Howard replied calmly "The only problem with me is that i have no problems", The UU said "Well i have to report you back to the city 45 CA", Howard said "Well could you bring me back something to eat i am hungry", The UU went outside of the cart and brought back Howard a Citizen Supplement and some Breen water, Howard drank his water and ate the Citizen Supplement, The UU came back and said "I have reported you to the CA of the city and he wants a word with you", Howard stood up and followed the UU to the radio, Howard sat down and pulled the radio transmitter from the radio and put it up to his mouth, The radio went to static and then a voice said "Is this Mr Howard Biggs?", Howard replied into the radio "That is correct and this must be the City Administrator of city 45 am i correct?", The radio then replied "This is the CA of the city yes.", Howard then replied and said "What do you need from me?", The voice of the CA went to a Texas accent and said "Well my sources tell me that you studied us am i correct?", Howard replied "Well no but i am a Cryptologist.", The radio then was modified by the UU officer and the radio had no static and the voice sounded like it was in the room, The CA then replied "Well that is too bad i really thought you would of been studying us.", "Tell you what i will let you come to the city i like you but i can not give you any favors." -City 45 life Howard got off the train and headed for the Civil housing, He sat down in his hotel and looked at the TV, It showed the CA of the city giving a CCA Officer a promotion, Howard finally knew the CA's Identity, Howard sat down and watched a channel about a 2 hour hate ritual that the resistance use to hate the Combine, The ritual was used by Goldstien in George Orwell's book, But the Combine showed that the resistance do it and not the Combine, Resulting in a total reverse of the book. -Business Howard bought a business permit for Books and General Goods, He only sold UU branded items because he did not want trouble with the CCA, Howard then became a window washer and earned a loyalist point because he cleaned the memorial and nexus barricade. -Current life Howard is now a few years older, He still has never got apprehended, Howard never started his new job as a cleaner, He realized that if he was going to live then he would need to continue a job, Anything was ready for him, He could have a job of CWU or cleaner, But he realized that the polls for CCA were on and he had one chance, So he signed a application for it and typed his application for the application, And made a pledge to be loyal to the UU and do what ever they say, Howard kept this promise and decided he would keep the pledge to his grave. 5) Have you ever had a CCA character here at Catalyst Gaming? Oh do not worry,I fell as if i will not be coming back for 2 reasons: reason 1: Grammar strictness and minimum amount words:Its like you want me to be sitting on a computer at 3:00 AM So i can write a application especially when i am tired and you need to type 3 paragraphs and 300 words, Reason 2: The Roleplay:Your HL2RP server is really lacking role play and it really makes me mad knowing that the server is a total waste of my time
