IC Chat / Re: Chrysanthemum Knight's Character Profile
« on: January 23, 2013, 06:32:48 PM »
I like the idea of this character, as in, the mixing up of stereotypical character archetypes. On one side, you've got the cold, calculated, quiet sociopath. On the other, you have the warm, innocent, creative doll. While the two are definitely difficult to mix together (believe me, I've tried in the past), you've managed to find a good ratio for both ends, and a neat medley of skills to create an intriguing character.

Hope to see her around the Outlands, whenever I get my computer back. Maybe by then, I'll have gotten my lazy ass around to turning in my Vort App (given that those two characters might get along, him with his old age, her with her psyche, and both of them with a love for geoponic plants).

Half-Life 2 Roleplay / Re: Most interesting RP experiences
« on: January 23, 2013, 06:28:48 PM »
 1. Roleplaying the relationship between 'Jaws' and 'Pyro'.

 2. Committing suicide as the drug-addict 'Jesse Calverne', right in front of 'Devil' and Elias Valerion.

 3. Going postal as Razors after being raped (i.e. shaving entire head, cutting off peoples' thumbs, tattooing people)

 4. Trying (futily) to save the lives of those attacked during an exogen breach in City 45.

5. Roleplaying the delicate relationship between Ali Ezra, 'Old Man', and Elijah.

Expiriences are not listed in any particular order. Have had a lot of fun Roleplaying with you Catafags for the last couple months, looking forward to a good couple more :)

Suggestions / Re: Player Resizer
« on: January 23, 2013, 06:18:58 PM »
As someone who RPs characters big (The Hound), Small (Layla), and youthful (Ali), I'd love to see this implemented. Not to mention some potential plans I have set up in the future for another child character, pending their release from restrictions in authorization applications.

Anyway, big + Support, I hope it's something that Khub or Alex can work into the mix.

Social Discussion / Re: Girls can like guy things but no vice-virsa?
« on: January 22, 2013, 09:52:07 PM »
I've been described by friends and family as a 'feminine' male. I tend to excessively groom, be into shit like candles and poetry, and clothing. Of course, given that I actually am gay, a lot of this stuff might (albeit, stereotypically) make sense. I think that a lot of the bias or double-standards involved here stem out of sexual identity and gender.

Where as a girl hugging another girl, or something of that sort, is normal, the same situation with a guy is not. I think that (before society locked this situation in place) it all began with hormonal differences, ie testosterone / androgen and estrogen / progesterone. In man's beginning, a woman who had a child would stay at the 'habitat' breast feeding, because they had breasts- because of the hormones.  Meanwhile the men had the aggression and strength and speed required to hunt- because if the hormones.

Way back then, it wasn't a society thing, because there was no society. But as we evolved as a species, or man-woman relationship would only adapt, resulting in the subtle changes we have today.

Out of Character for OOC:
Personally, I would like it all to come back to the server but that's just me.

*A stocky, man emerges to the people.*

"It seems. I'm not the only here. Haha, I'm Jamie."

*A heavy Scottish accent can be heard quite easily.*

Since the server is up, I'd say it high time that this thread is locked, and one of the most popular threads ever is put to rest.

You guys, this is just ridiculous. Kal can achieve everything that a normal person can, she just has to reach for the stars.

Suggestions / Re: Weapons Revamp.
« on: January 22, 2013, 02:12:07 PM »
I like the idia of some more old fashioned weapons to match the Outlands' rustic aesthetic. The weapons listed seem realistic and reasonable, and match the atmosphere of the server.

+ Support, for whatever mine is worth.

Suggestions / Re: Citizen Clothing
« on: January 21, 2013, 04:04:44 AM »
While I definitely agree that we could use some fresh citizen content (facemaps especially, they handful we have no are so pallid), I can't agree exactly where we should get it from, or what size it should be.

One things I would like to point out is that the content available for Outlanders and the content available for City-Dwellers should be visually distinctive.

That's my 2 cents, Frolie out

Seems like a pretty innovative character. I won't lie though, it's likely she's gonna have to take her fair share of random beating and... random raepings. Nonetheless, I look forward to seeing this character around the Outlands server.

ps, congrats on making admun

Media / Your First Concert
« on: January 19, 2013, 04:48:11 PM »
Curious about your first concert. I'll spin my story first, and you guys can follow me down below.

The first concert I ever went to (that I really enjoyed, that is), was an electronica show by "Feed Me". To this day, it is one of the most wild experiences of my youth thus far. As any electronica show should be expected, there was a phenomenal light show, and the crowd just felt really, really alive.

Of course, that was my first, and really only show I've ever attended. I've got nothing to compare it to, but still it seems like something I won't forget very soon.

Alright, so throw your story down below, and maybe even an example or two of the music that was playing.

Denied Outlands Appeals / Re: Frolie's Outlands Appeal (ye another)
« on: January 19, 2013, 12:54:07 PM »
Honestly, from our characters first meet, yours always had some type of bad/nasty attitude. You hated anyone for no reason and everything for no reason. You only liked people who could get you more powerful items. In City, that's not going to happen, not one bit. If you're going to City with these auths and items, I am positive that you'll act superior to those who don't have it and even though you contacted me on steam for me not to target you, I'm having the feeling you're just telling me to roll over on my belly while you take the final jab. Correct me if i'm wrong on any of this, but i'm just bringing back your past behavior/acts and I'm not sure if this is all for protection reasons.

Also your molotov auth's might hinder your trek here, along with the chloroform. I'm not sure it's the best idea for you to come man. City was not made for fully outfitted criminals with gear to the ass and unbelieveable auth'd skills.

Also this....

-Character is clearly uncomfortable with the use of the molitov in the backstory,
and therefor would only use it in situations where she is extremely irate. Given
that circumstance, it's possibly that the character could act irrationally and do
      damage to herself

This is a defect from your auth app. As said, your character is easily irritated. So I can see you using these often to strike fear into those you do not favor. Burning down the City and those inside it will not create RP, just more enraged people complaining about losing their characters and adding more of a work load on S4 thus interefering with their passive RP.

Now i'm not saying you will burn down the City, i'm saying you have the potential to do it. And now that i've stated that you have the potential to do it, you will deny that you will do it.But when someone tries to rape you, I can see a molotov flying towards their face.

All this made me reflect on my activities, the inherent risk of the situation, and how what I perceive as a harmless activity could easily be looked upon as a significant threat, and that claim would even have some merit to it.

That being said, I think it best that this thread is locked, and moved into the denied section. I can wait out the gap between now and the third update, I suppose.

Denied Outlands Appeals / Re: Frolie's Outlands Appeal (ye another)
« on: January 19, 2013, 12:43:26 PM »
What you're essentially telling me is that no matter what we say, you'll be armed. Is this assumption correct?

What I mean is, it doesn't matter whether I'm armed in the city or not, but it would be far preferable to be armed when I'm in the Outlands again. Whether that means ICly leaving the weapons behind, taking them with me, or ICly ignoring the firearm angle all together, it matters little to me within the city.

You can RP and not have to use your extremely OP characters.

Tl;Dr step away from your OP chars for a bit while your waiting and just make a char on City.

Characters are only as 'Over-Powered' as their OOC players use them. Layla's unique blend of skills definately grant her a abilities and venues of 'attack' that others don't have, but to say that they character is OP, I'd say that you have to cite events or examples of situations where I have abused the character's auths for personal gain.

Tl;DR? I'll shorten it up: Don't try to pursue a smear campaign against a character unless you fully intend to back it up properly.

Further more...

And also, if you were to die/be caught in the City, you won't be able to just return to Outlands, so there's always that risk.

You act as though I don't recognize the inherent risk involved in what I intend to do...
