Support & Help / Re: Turning american dolla into bitcoin
« on: August 26, 2014, 10:14:27 PM »
I suggest Coinbase because their the most trustworthy and straightforward service I've used, though they won't make your bitcoins anonymous. (Since your coinbase account is tied to your bank account, as opposed to you buying bitcoins using gift cards).

Right now the prices are hovering are the $500 range, if I were you I'd wait until a sink into the mid $400's before buying. To buy, you need to give them your bank's routing number (can be obtained via your bank website, google it) and your account number. Once you do this, you can buy bitcoins though it will take a few days before you get them. If you link a credit card in addition to the bank info, you can receive coins instantly.

If you want to buy anonymously, you may want to search around the TOR network, however these are usually very shady and you can't really trust them. That's up to you.

I'll bet my bottom dollar it was CafePress

You can just upload your logo and people can buy stuff for on-demand printing. Wiremod had one somewhere...

Guys prove I've ever done this. Pro-tip: you can't.

Seriously though, no bitch fest. There's no situation in which saying 'yes' or 'no' or 'this' in a post is adding to the discussion. If that's all you have to say, just shut up and move on.

Of course, sorry about that!

In the future, it's more reliable to go to a person's profile and click the button to purchase an item for them!

Okay, I should probably respond to this.

No, I won't delete any boards. I'll consider moving the order around so they are less 'in the way' but I won't remove them. Those threads are how a lot of people come across our website (via google and such). It's a great source of organic traffic that I won't just throw away.

As far as groups like the DJ group, I'll remove them if waffle tells me I can.

It's already an implied rule because I will start deleting accounts if people spoil shows. I have no patience for those types of people.

If your favorite character isn't Arya, you're wrong.

Also, spoiling Game of Thrones is bannable by the authority of me.

If you're looking for top of the line, the GS5 is what you're looking for. You can probably get a good deal on the GS4, which is what I have, now too since it's last gen. I have a friend that has Sony's Xperia Z2, he likes it though I can't vouch.

Your transaction is still reported as pending from paypal. If you paid with a credit card some times this process can take a while.

With that said, I feel I need to stress the fact that Catalyst-Gaming is not in danger of shutting down, however we have had discussions about downsizing while we attempt to bring down costs. You can play on our servers confident that your hard work and digital items won't be made worthless in the foreseeable future.

you'd be suprised. server bill, vps for the website, dos protection, taxes etc adds up to about 800$ a month. that doesn't include paying devs

With both of these said someone77 your answer is very hollow.  Why do i say this?  HRP is being used as a life line for a bill that wont be paid off in donations alone.  Currently its a major rely on the more active part of the playerbase to throw cash into the ship.  However 800$ a month is an insane price to pay for almost nothing.  What im getting at is when roflwaffle starts telling us we are short on the bill it gets worrisome for some of us.

I say that because if we ever can't pay we aren't just going to say "Whelp!" and close shop. We have fallback plans in case we need to keep this place running on $0, it just wouldn't be ideal for anyone. We're determined to keep our services available and will do anything to do so. It's important to remember that while most of you may not have faith in our staff, one thing we're not is stupid. We've been doing this for a long time now, we know how to keep doing it.
