People are to damn focused on our current playerbase (which always seem to fail regardless) that you all forget that there is more in this world than RP...
Maybe, if maybe you all just care just as much as I do about RP (aka not) and actually think of OTHER gamemodes to host. Then maybe we can finally get CG to have a more variated playerbase, with more variated servers. More players, more fun, more community.
And don't even try to pull the "Lol but all other servers we tried died within a week like TTT or Minecraft or <Input random gamemode>" Because who cares? I'd rather see us having more variation in our servers to pull in more players than sticking with that fucking "roleplay".
So here is the best idea ever: Put up variated servers. And DON'T drop them only because they are empty for a while. Even if the server is occupied an hour a week, it's still better than nothing.
TLDR: Fuck roleplay.

I think anything with a small download rp that requires teamwork would be cool
If you aren't prepared to download some content there isn't much you can do as you will be mostly using CS:S and HL2 props/materials/sounds. This severely limits what you can do in terms of canon, as custom objects would be difficult to create.
But to be fair there is a huge line between okay downloads and downloads that make people click cancel when joining. Anything that takes over 120 seconds usually makes people quit. Or anything over 100MB (Cause some people still got stoneage download speeds).
I really don't know any server that I have joined that takes less then 120 seconds to join (The first time). I would say a time within limit would be 5-7 minutes before I would consider to hit the cancel button.

Hardly anyone uses steam groups. So the chances of someone noticing an event announcement within those few mins and joins the server within that time is practically null.
Besides events are never really planned. They just come and go whenever we feel like doing something.
I agree with Nick, Why would someone take 30 seconds out of there day to announce an event to gather players on the server? What are you guys fucking stupid or something, god use your brains for once. (If you couldn't figure it out, this was sarcastic. I didn't want to offend some dumb ass with a sarcastic statement.) Once more on this exposure topic, does it really take a lot of effort to get on the Steam group page and announce an event three minutes before it occurs? I have the steam group set so it will tell me any event that is occurring. I know that I would for sure get on the server for a few minutes to take part in an event, and I don't think I am the only one. I really don't know why Alaskan or another caring admin wouldn't use there resources to advertise the server and/or events with Steam, Facebook, or any other social media platform.

First off, From my own experience, they aren't stable. I'm pretty sure every one has experience with these weapons if they have played on more then 2 DarpRP servers. Secondly, Feel wrong when using them. That is your opinion, some like the M9K and some don't; so don't think you are speaking for everyone hear. Thirdly, The effects are annoying and sometimes laggy Once again just your opinion, and the reason they are laggy is most likely on your part due to download/mounting errors or maybe your computer can't handle there amazing effects (Fuck the stupid tracers hard). I think you're loosing sight of what HRP is. HRP started out as nothing more than DarkRP on an ocean map. It then evolved into something more but ever since day 1, it's basically been a modification of DarkRP. Our playerbase is based around DarkRP. Trying to make the gamemode more serious is the dumbest idea since trying to make OCRP2 realistic, and we ALL know how well that turned out to be. The average HRP player doesn't have the patience to have to run back and forth getting more guns. I totally agree that we should place a limit on it, but being lucky to fit more than 3? Come on now, this is getting a little out of hand. I would expect nothing less than 10 at the very least. Making HRP more tiresome and a hassle is only going to tick people off.

If it makes you feel any better I was capable of having 5 guns+ammo in my inventory, You can pretty easily throw 10 pistols in there (without ammo) as well. And I disagree with you saying that players are going to get pissed off, if we could still hold a fucking garage full of firearms in are asses then people would be pissed of all the RDM and shit. This makes a nice balance between servers that have inventories and servers that say "fuck yo guns, bitch". Be happy with what we have and be thankful that the inventory system exists. I hate this.

I'm not sure what you are talking about, But I was delighted to have my eyesore of an inventory reset. Instead of an unorganized fuck fest of guns and lock picks I was greeted with a weight system. So not every one was "pissed", some were delighted at this great decision. Had about 100k worth of stuff.... Sheeet....

Refunding will be done automatically when the server restarts. It refunds 75% of what was in your inventory.
To add to it M9K is a very shitty unbalanced pack. The only practical use for the pack was on DarkDM servers where its flaws are widely shown. Not to mention some weapons are not even realistically (really not even sensibly) done (Shotguns, pistols,semi-auto rifles). The idea of the pack being added is just slamming a unprofessional sticker on us. Even the standard DarkRP weps are more decent
The M9K weapons obviously aren't the best weapons we could be using, but there aren't many alternatives. The Insurgency pack is really buggy and Mr Pyrous' weapons don't have physics models. The M9K weapons work and work well. If the stats of the weapons need changing, we can easily do it by editing some numbers. As it stands I'm pretty happy with them, though.
Thank you for refunding are money, in which we all believed would take longer then it did or possibly wouldn't even happen. You are doing a great and speedy job with the updates, keep up the good work (AND MAKE A FUCKING TASER).

So which ones will be "legal" and "illegal" besides the AK and the RPG going to the "illegal" side?
Going by the American gun laws, everything that isn't automatic or military-grade. If this is true, legal weapons would include:
Bayonet Blade
Colt 1911
Ka-Bar Knife
L42A1
Benelli M4 Super 90
Makarov
SKS
Dragunov SVD may also be legal considering I've seen more than a few online and in gun stores, but it could always be kept as a BMD weapon as it is a considerable upgrade over the L42A1.
EDIT: Also, something else that came into my head just now: What if we split the "illegal" weapons into two groups.
The "black market" weapons (Weapons that only a BMD can spawn) would include the AK-47, FN FAL, RPG, RPK, and Dragunov.
The "Coast Guard" weapons (Weapons that only a CG Commander can spawn) would include the M14, M16A4, M249, and RGD-5.
Thoughts?
Sounds good, except the CG Commander spawning weapons. Why not have an NPC in the government building which would supply guns to the Coast Guard?
I love the idea of having an equipment supplier NPC for CGs, would really allow for you to adjust to certain situations.

I couldn't fucking care less about this fucking FB page, my point is it would be good advertizing for the server which means more new players. Without new players Catalyst Gaming wouldn't exist, this would allow for CG to live on for longer. (Also to Nick, I saw the link in the shoutbox, indeed my EMAIL is linked to a Facebook page. This is only because I used to share my email with about 10 people, this resulted in a fucktard making that.)
