Eh, no. I'll save my 2 cents for Planetside 2.
Trying to convert a single player game [franchise] into a multiplayer or MMO game doesn't work. Ever.
Look at SW:TOR. SW:KOTOR and SW:KOTOR TSL came before that, and were good games. TOR isn't that good.

I'm currently reading The Song of Ice and Fire, on book 5, Dance with Dragons now. It's a very good series because it's like the real world, and the books events aren't hollywood style. Characters can die at any moment, and it's not some hollywood the hero saves the day at the end crap. That's probably why I like it so much, because it's different.

Suggestion 1: Know what your doing.
Suggestion 2: Figure out your layout and building ideas on paper before you go into hammer.
Suggestion 3: Build cleanly. Build your dimensions correctly. It's always aggravating when I see brushwork that's gone off the charts insane because of improper dimensions.

No idea what might be causing it, the lack of proper sleep and other things might have caused it. I get blurry spots in my vision when I blink occasionally, but I don't see a transparent shadow.

No specific sources I can list, but the best way to learn is to play around with brushes, entities, and inputs - outputs. IMO, once you understand inputs and outputs, anything is possible.

I'd have to go with RTS. Couple good ones are: Supreme Commander 1 + 2, C&C Generals (and C&C in general), DOW 1 + 2, and SOASE (Sins of a Solar Empire).
