General Discussion / Re: Where did all the serious RP'ers go?
« on: November 27, 2016, 01:25:46 AM »
Nothing like Necro-posting a 6 month old thread that's dead in the dust.

Honestly I don't know, I think it's because the workshop was introduced and with it came a lot of kids who flooded the gamemode. A lot of the more mature players just kinda gave up on the gamemode, and it's gradually died out ever since. Kinda sad, really. I think the possibility of a server coming up with old-style concepts is still possible, but any of the old-old fags required to make that happen would have to get off their fat asses to do it. Everyone who visits this forum is basically just a saltier version of their younger self, who now knows all the drama and shit behind servers so no one wants to run it.

Ironically I find myself visiting the Catalyst Gaming forums a lot more often now.

Third person is pretty easy to add too. There is a plugin for it on the Cloud 16 forums, and it wouldn't add to the download time.

If your looking for a good aim i'd recommend trying to bind a key to the zoom feature. It can give you a good idea on where to aim. Not a crosshair, but it helps a lot.

Only thing that bothered me on the second one was the hand-posing.

Also - which map did you use on the first one? (halo <<£<£<£,3)

General Discussion / Re: Don't go on The Spire
« on: April 04, 2014, 10:32:34 PM »
I went to go play and as soon as I got in I asked a staff member for a some help on where to find the DL link for their content. They were nice for like five minutes before I got the PM "Fuck off we won't help people from different community's." I replied with "What." Then I got the reply "Unless your willing to leave CG, and make yourself a true member to the Spire then go fuck off." Even after I left I still got heckled by some of their members.

Suggestions / Ration Tests
« on: April 01, 2014, 10:02:37 PM »
So we all know there's muscular citizens, overweight citizens, and just non-malnourished citizens. The idea is to add some sort of chemical to the rations which will stay in the system for X amount of days/hours. If a unit sees a citizen who is overweight or muscular or just clearly NOT malnourished, they are to do a test (or call a nova unit to do it, opinions on this). It could be a pee test or blood test, whichever is fine. Perhaps even if they get a sample of the skin that would work, but it's all up for debate. Now, if this chemical is not found in the system, then the citizen would be charged with possesion of contraband food. If the chemical is found, then it would be assumed that they are eating rations and they are free to go. The whole purpose of this is so that units can do something against these "muscular" and "overweight" citizens because it's IMPOSSIBLE to be overweight or muscular just from eating rations.

Full Name: Lewis Flynn
Civil Identification Digits: 59818
Sex: Male
Age: 23
Height: 6 Feet
Weight: 134

Currently Assigned Apartment Number: UCH Block B - Room B1
Total Loyalist Points: None.

Occupation prior to the Union: No real occupation, but I did work at a small stand once.

How long have you been in City 18?: I was only in City 18 for a brief week before I was chosen to go back to City 8 for relocation. I’ve been in City Eight in the past for about a year, or so.

Have you ever been detained or received any reprimands? If so, why?: I’ve never been detained.

Have you had any past experience in any of the following fields: labor, service, logistics, and or management? If you answered yes to any of those, explain the experience. No, I worked at a small family owned shop before.

Why do you want to join the Civil Workers Union?: To be honest it’s for the other citizens. I hear some say they dislike their rations of which I dissagree on, though I’d like them to be happy so why not sell them some food? Doughnuts, melons, tea, all the stuff like that. I've always loved a small treat from the CWU personally.

What can you provide to the Civil Workers Union?: I can find a way to do any task you assign me.

If a citizen were new to the city, and was in need of assistance, what would you do?: Well first I’d show him around the plaza tell him the ropes such as the districts, places not to go, and offer him a nice drink. I'd give it to him like a warm welcoming to the city.

If a Unit was in need of assistance transporting goods, what would you do?: If he required help I would pick up a box of the goods, and help him. If he required more help I would try, and gather some other citizens around to help out.

If you spot a citizen disobeying Union Law, what do you do?: I’d excuse myself from whoever I was talking to, and report it as soon as I could.

Have you ever had a worker before? If so, what server and what was your involvement in the CWU?: I have a character in CWU before. It was back when Purple ran it.
Give me a example of a role-play situation involving a Worker and a few Citizens:
* Delta1116732 leans over the counter desk wrapping his hand around his other hand greeting the citizen with a smile. "Afternoon what can I get ya?"
*Citizen* “A couple blue cans of breen?”
* Delta1116732 nods before turning around to the fridge openning it up as he begins to scan the fridge for a couple drinks replying "I believe thats around twelve tokens."
*Citizen* nods before digging into his pocket before pulling out a group of tokens sliding it over across the counter.
* Delta1116732 turns back around placing two ice cold cans onto the counter, and sliding the tokens into his hand before putting them into the register. "Thank you, have a nice day."
*Citizen* slides the two cans into his backpack before beginning to walk off waving goodbye to the worker as he leaves.

- EDIT: Wrote this late at night, fixed up a lot of mistakes.
