Johnathan Fredrick's Civil Authority Application

IC Character Name: Johnathan Fredrick

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
Johnathan wants to join the Combine Civil Authority to prevent what had happened in the past.  When his parents were slaughtered and his child was killed.  He went into hiding.  He was then transferred to City 45. 
He was surrounded by contraband and people bickering about the law enforcement.  He grew tired of hearing people being detained for harassing the combine as they walked the streets.  Johnathan thought on how he could prevent this from happening any longer.  He decided he would warn the CCA whenever he saw contraband. 
  As Johnathan roamed the streets trying to be as loyal as possible to the CCA.  He was fed up and decide he would not scout for the CCA.  Instead he would become one of them.  Maybe his ruthless aggression would put an end to the problems.


2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)
Johnathan Fredrick is a very trustworthy mature individual.  Although he does not take lip from anyone, he comprehends most of what one is trying to say.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
I believe that the Combine Civil Authority are for the ones that know how to Role Play correctly.  I expect the Civil Authority to be a great experience for me to learn almost everything on how to role play in a Half Life 2 setting.  One of the things I will also most likely enjoy is the intimidation of civilians, because I remember when I first joined a Half Life 2 server and as soon as I saw a Combine I reacted nervous in my chair  as I was playing also.  I think it will be fun time playing as someone that can take control of situations.
For my character Johnathan Fredrick, He would want to take control more than anything.  After his loved ones were killed during the seven hour war, he wanted to make a change.  He wanted to show civilians what pain he had faced.  Most of all, he just wants to have power in his community.


4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
This is the story of Johnathan Fredrick.
I was only 17 when the combine invaded. I watched as my parents were slaughtered in front of me by a large beast with 3 legs. It stared at me, at least I think and just left me there to die. I staggered around the area looking for anything to help my parents to live (it was already too late) I continued to walk what seemed to be a mile but was only a few feet to the last remaining hope of my sanity. It was my son, standing their with a look of dread in his eyes. I went to go embrace him and tell him it was alright, when I took the first step a shot rang through the room. My son lies there dead with a hole right through his forehead still with that look of dread, I hid. The combine don't notice me so I take off running from my previous hiding spot (the closet) and let the tears fall down my eyes.
As I started to get angry at the fact that almost everyone that I loved was killed on that day.  After being in hiding for a few hours after the tragic moment of my son’s death, I was relocated to city 45.  I thought that this was my chance to make things under my control for once.   I filled out an application for the city 45’s force.  I knew from that day I was going to make a stand, and make people suffer the way I did.  With power and determination my goals were set to become part of the Combine Civil Authority.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?
It happened only a few days ago on CG, I was on one of my other characters distributing weapons to district 6.  I was tricked by an officer in disguise to sell him a grenade.  Then before I knew it I was cornered by around eight or nine CP.  I did make a mistake in it though by drawing my weapon, but by far it was the most fun I have had in a while.
