IC Character Name: Charles Mills
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.The Combine occupation of Earth doesn't bother Charles much anymore, he has accepted that we cannot defeat them.
He also has better views of the combine government system than he had for Democracy as his opinion of it was; that it was pretty stupid. He wants to help enforce this new governmental system by joining the CCA.
Charles is ready to do anything to become as loyal as possible to the Combine.
Charles Has looked up at the CCA, and viewed them as godlike. Charles also wishes to join the CCA because he wants to be an influence for standard citizens turning in contraband, helping the CCA with tasks etc...
He does not like any one who thinks that the Combine is a horrible empire he thinks that they are horrible them selves for thinking that. As a loyalist he loves and respects the Combine as any other loyalist should do.
he likes to have the CCA around in case him or someone wants to report something like contraband or rebel activity.
Another reason Charles wants to become CCA is because he thinks that there is too much anti-CCA activity going around and not enough CCA to stop it ( in his city atleast). So he belives that that joining the CCA he could become an extra enforcer that (in his opinion) is much needed in his city. He thinks this because of 2 main resistances in his city "The Red Union" and "The Phoneix Resistance". He thinks he will be useful to the CCA as he has read one of the TPR posters and it said find the clicking and more than 4 times he has heard clicking around him. He also wants to help by issuing orders to citizens to help inform them of what they should be doing.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.Charles Mills has seen recruits Get bad treatment and hatred from their superior officers, and is prepaired to face that same treatment.
He also knows of benefits From being a CCA such as upgraded rations etc...
The last thing he thinks that the CCA will give him is increased respect from most citizens.
I expect the CCA to be hard on my character, no excuses. It doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman, I believe that they will treat you the same as every other member.
I also expect that my role play environment will be different since the Nexus is where the CCA prosper.
With authority over every citizen, I would expect more respect for Lilith. Which will enrich my role play ten folds, and I would further benefit it.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.Charles Mills was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. He grew up in a lower class family, and mostly kept to himself as a kid. His father had died when we was young. and his mother ran a small shop. Charles got good grades and stayed out of trouble, and was never really sure what he wanted to do with his future. Charles's favourite hobby would have been observing the solar system with a telescope he got when he was young, As he got older he learned a lot there was to know about the universe. When Charles went of to college he had his sights set on a major in Astronomy. Charles started spending more and more time in the library, Astronomy was what he had studied. He made outstanding grades all throughout college and eventually went on to be a professor. Charles had it all set, he was going to indulge in his love of Astronomy and teach to those around him, or so he thought.
The portal storms had intrigued Charles just as much as they scared him. Having lived in a major city, these, mar never really encountered these so called Xen creatures that came parading from him.
All Charles saw were masses of refugees coming from the countryside seeking shelter. Mar did what he could to help,
Offering shelter and food. The guests were quiet for a few months, then things started to heat up. People started running out of food and supplies, and on top of that the water was running low. People started to get heated and fights often broke out over basic necessities. Charles had seen this in his history books and read about it in the library, he knew what would come next.
Riots started breaking out and the government did what they could to control the people, but there were only so much supplies to go around.
Charles wished that order could be restored to the streets once again.
Then the combine came down, and Charles had no idea what to think of it.
They came down and started to restore order back to the streets. charles was and was deemed worthy to live among many who died.
He was transferred city to city, another train station another train station. The way the combine took over intrigued mar, it was something completely new and Charles considered himself lucky to witness history in the making. One night, while on the train to City 45, he thought to himself, I could be apart of this history. So once he got off that train he started to take an earnest interest in anything relating to the Universal Union.
Charles often spent long periods of times admiring how the Combine operated and dreamed of one day joining their ranks.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?One of my most memorable RP experiences took place in Taco n' Banana hl2rp server, where an anti-citizen was detected in our housing unit.
Enraged that our rations had been deducted (and most of us have not been on in time for rations), we Had captured the rebel and brought him to the combine,
although this might not sound that exciting at the time it happened it was really quite fun.
8. Do you consider yourself a good listener?Like all people i have flaws, I am not the best listener around as sometimes get distracted. But i can guarantee that i do listen most of the time.

also, I believe that the system the union is enforcing is far superior to any earthly system we have ever made. The rebels just fail to see how it will benefit the human race
