Leon Carter's Metropolice Force Application

IC Character Name: Leon Carter
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Metropolice Force and what lead your character to do so.
With nothing much to do besides work out, kick cans, and talk to people, Leon Carter got very bored, very quickly. He feels useless, just taking up space and and getting in the way of the more interesting personalities and characters the city produces. He's not weak, he's not strong, he's not stupid, he's not smart. All Leon wants is to be productive and make the best he can out of the life he was given. What better way to do that then to join the CCA?
Besides actually doing something besides sitting around and wasting air, joining the CCA would give him the added benefit of better living conditions and possibly support for his parents wherever they may be. Leon's parents mean the world to him, and it crushes him to not know where they are or their condition, so the least he could do is possibly help them out whether they're dead or not. He's deathly terrified that if his parents were to get in any form of trouble, they would most likely not survive the consequences and Leon would then be completely alone in the world. Not having a wife, children, or any siblings further supports Leon's strong wanting to keep his parents safe, as they are the only family he has.
In addition, Leon has a sort of superiority complex to him caused from, in his opinion, the idiocy and angst of the other citizens. Being taught to be humble since birth, Leon can't help but feel like he is the most brilliant man on Earth compared to some of the people he sees. He doesn't want to admit it, but every time a citizen is punished for punching an officer, or screaming, or hopping around like an idiot, Leon feels a sense of satisfaction that another bonehead is put into his place. He tries to repress these feelings whenever possible, but if he manages to get into the CCA, he'll have a perfectly valid reason to batter these morons into the nearest wall until their teeth all fall out. Every one has another side of them they don't want to show, and it's time for Leon reveal his.
In conclusion, Leon has got his work cut out for him, but he's entirely determined to join the Metropolice Force in order to better his life, and the life of others.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)
Leon is a traditional man with traditional values. He believes a man without integrity is a man that is weak and inept. Believing honesty and honor as the foundation a man was built upon, he believes that if he doesn't set an example for others, there is no reason for him to be respected or even listened to. Leon also believes in the virtues of moral courage, holding his moral compass above all else. He's humble, living with quiet dignity and choosing to think to himself and not be involved in any form of conflict if possible. Diligent, responsible, attentive; these are all traits Leon was taught to have.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
Having been CCA on some other servers and knowing what it's like, I simply want to make my presence on this server. I really like the idea of a recruit climbing up the ranks and just love the RP as a CCA much more than Citizen or RebelRP. I'm expecting a bit of a change from some of the other servers I've played on since this community seems very dedicated to RP'ing and creating interesting characters and stories that are unique instead of just grinding hours of playtime to climb each rank day by day.
As for Leon, I feel like his crave for a job will be satisfied and his tedium quenched, which is definitely what he wanted. However, I think he will learn soon enough that his moral compass will be brought to the test when he's forced to abuse sickly and defenseless citizens without any choice. Overall, I think his values will be tested and he'll slowly turn from this quiet, humble man to a cold-blooded and callous monster, which is going to be VERY fun to RP.

Wake up, eat, work, eat, sleep. Wake up, eat, work, eat, sleep. This was the life of Leon Carter, a boy living in the small town of Elmore, Alabama. He was born in 1984 to the newly wed Eugene Carter and Eleanor Carter. He grew up in a tight-knit town inhabited by a honest-to-god and genuine people that worked together in a way that can only be described as a sort of self-sufficient democracy. It was a lethargic town, though. No one was hurried because no one had anywhere to go. Eugene Carter was a simple farmer. He wasn't qualified enough for a higher-end job, so his family stayed poor. After giving birth to Leon, however, Eleanor took a job in a sowing company to support the future of their newborn son. When they piled up their money together, they were barely able to get Leon into school. He entered the 1st Grade at the age of 8, not knowing how to read or right caused from living on the farm for the first 7 years of his life.
When Leon entered college, he began to question what he was going to do with his life. His father had been a farmer, and his father was a farmer before that. He went off to work in the town mine for 2 years before deciding what to do with himself. On a father-son hunting trip, he began to discuss with his father his plans for the future. Leon noticed his father's growing age, and realized he would not be able to work much longer. Leon decided he needed to set an example for himself, and went back to school to pursue a career as an accountant. After four years, Leon graduated, and became the only one in his family to ever have a formal education. He was proud of himself, and so were his exhausted parents.
Several years past with Leon working eternally to support his now tired and elderly parents. On the morning of August 11th, 2015, Leon was lazily sleeping inside his apartment building after an eternal night of work. "Ah shit!" His coffee had spilled all over him, waking him up startled to see his whole room shaking. He shot over to the window of his chaotic and sloppy apartment only to find something straight out of Science Fiction. Adorned in his boxers, a stained-white undershirt, and a shabby overcoat, he hurried outside. The events that followed were blurry to him, as it almost all happened in the blink of an eye. As he heard the shrill cries of his fellow neighbors and the deafening sounds of the ongoing explosions, he felt a concentrated amount of force beat the back the of his head and he fell instantly.
The rest of his story is standard. He was rounded up, along with the other denizens of his town and packed firmly into a cramped train headed for someplace unknown. City 18, the others on the train had rumored it was desolate, depressing, and bleak. Worrying only for himself, Leon kept to himself for four grueling years. Fed up with all the idiots, with the boredom, with the constant fear for his family's health, Leon grabbed a pen and paper and began to write an application to join the CCA.

No, I've never had a CCA character on this server.

I've been browsing the old HL2RP forums since last year, but I've only played on the new server for about 2 days.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?
My most memorable quality RP experience as far as I can think of right now would most likely be the introduction of a character named 'Archangel' on a previous HL2RP server I used to play on. I was a low-ranked GRID unit with some minor ties to the higher-ranking members of the CCA and recently they had been talking about the appearance and actions of a strange figure only known as 'Archangel'. He honestly scared the shit out of me after he had completely mutilated a CP who was patrolling alone, and I was sure the others had felt the same. My fears were confirmed true when my patrol partner had left me for urgent matters and I was left all alone, in a dark alley, which a previous body had been found. I think you know where this is going. Archangel found me, and he incredibly RP'ed the gruesome scene of cutting me open and making 'art' of my dilapidated body.

To leave the constant clutter and filth of the lowly day-to-day citizen life in order to join a cause that can give me reason to be productive in a city filled with criminals. The constant fear of my family's health and safety is another concern that I wish to eliminate through joining the force. I wish to serve the Union in it's entirety and continue to do my part in the struggle against those who rebel.

I, Leon Carter hereby swear my mind, body and soul to the Universal Union forever so long as I draw breath. I do so knowing that my actions will be held accountable to me and solely myself. I also declare my knowledge that as a Member of The Universal Union that I will be required to perform tasks above and beyond as well as perform ANY task ordered to by ANY commanding person(s). I hereby acknowledge the fact that as a Civil Protection Task-force Unit that I will be losing most, if not all, communication and or past relationship with anyone outside of the Universal Union's operational bounds.
