1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Metropolice Force and what lead your character to do so.

My character is bent on saving others from the fate of her parents. She wishes to save average citizens form murders and rapists by joining the Civil Protection. She dreams that overtime she will become strong enough to mend the gap between people and make everybody finally equal. Aside from her dreams and wishes, she wants to make all citizens have a higher standard of living.


    Instead, she would have the citizens live more productive lives. With this life, the average citizen could easily climb the ladder of the economic pyramid. Possibly, citizens could become happy again, under a more formidable rule of cosmic entities. With this being said, she in general wants to protect the Union and her peoples.

    In conclusion, all she really desires is a stronger bond to the Union. To make a stronger bond with the Union, she believes, enlisting in their ranks is the way to go. Hopefully, she has made the right choice. Helping the Union is most definitely on her to do list.

I believe, that the Combine Civil Authority, is a different more enjoyable atmosphere of RPing for me. I’ve never been much of a fan of citizen and rebel RP, although that doesn’t mean that I can’t do it. Aside from the CCA having a more pleasurable atmosphere I also believe that I have the proper skills to roleplay as a unit in City Eighteen.

Aside from having the proper skills to roleplay as a unit, I believe I can improve my current role playing skills. Through proper training, and exercises I can kindle my skills to the max. I would expect that Catalyst Gaming’s CCA faction would be able to reshape my role playing capabilities.


4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
    September 2nd, 1993: Lilli Cos Jaeger was born to a family in Hamburg, Germany. Her mother had previously immigrated from Northern Japan, while her father has been a citizen of Germany for many years. Both her mother and father worked, earning a steady income and providing a liberal amount of necessities for living. The family lived in a satisfactory neighborhood in a large two-story house. Lilli’s life would be no more than a breeze up until the age of six. At this age, she would be required by law to go to school for proper education. Soon she would find out that she had more talent, mentally, than her fellow students; she excelled in school.




    As she advanced merely through the grades, at the age of ten, her last grandparent would die. This would leave a sour impression of existence  upon her, mentally she was unprepared for the assertive force of grief by which the death caused her. She would ask her father what it meant to be dead and if there really was a place after death. He told her that she would soon be able to develop her own sense of judgment, for the choice of her beliefs were not his to control, but Lilli’s. She would ponder over his words for years. On a side note, to cheer her up, her parents would take her to Alstervergnügen (A famous parade in Hamburg, Germany where most of the inhabitants of the city gather around lake Alster to celebrate their city).

    They would attend this parade for years to come, but on one fateful night something was awry. As the fireworks burst in the air and many throngs of people cheered in joyous release, the Jaeger family were busy pushing their way through the crowds of exuberant people. The father had received a phone call from the Police Department of Berlin, his only sibling had been in a terrible accident.  Their attempts to make it to their vehicle had been thwarted by a crowd of drunkards, they were pushed aside to the narrow alleyways of the streets like one would besmirch a broken walking stick.




    The family continued down the path laid before them, a mist hung over the alleyway; illuminated by the orange street lights and the brilliant display of fireworks trailing the Jaeger’s. Lilli would have huddled closer and closer to her mother each time a noise encompassed them or a cheer rained over them from the crowds they veered away from.  A sudden ominous sound came from just ahead of the three as they walked, Lilli would slow down, now silently shuffling behind her parents. Without a moments indication, a man garbed in a black trench coat jumped out of the mist swinging his hand. Lilli perceived the shape of something in the man’s hand in pure horror. The man had a knife in hand and was swinging towards her father’s neck! Her father collapsed as the knife cut into his neck. Blood leaking out onto the ground. A scream emanated from her mother as the man pulled the wicked blade out of the now deceased parent. Quickly, her mother turned around picking up Lilli, who was in an awkward trance-like state of confusion, and attempted to flee. She was too slow. The knife embedded in back, slicing all the way through. Lilli looked up in disbelief, she knew what she had become. The man began to speak in an odd slurring manner, he was drunk!




“Ur… Ur… *Hic* Welcome young lass… B-but I can’t just leave ya’ unattended…”




Lilli quickly turned around, she ran as fast as she could down towards the parade, which was still going on. The odd man sluggishly chased after her, he tripped over some trash and waste as he did so. She ran, completely void of all basic emotions… just focused on the ultimate goal: running. Her goal was just insight, the fog lifted and she could see the crowds of infinity: safety.  She had found it, a younger party goer who had not been intoxicated. The stranger looked down at her amidst the crowd.

   

“Wa-What’s wrong kid?”, He lightly crouched down to get on her eye-level.




“Ma...Mm.”, She found that she couldn’t speak, instead she pointed at the alleyway.




The stranger nodded before heading off. German authorities arrived nearly ten minutes later. It took her nearly an hour to register what had happened; she told the authorities what had happened as they shuttled her away from the accident and to a Child Protective agency. Soon she was shuttled off to an orphanage in Germany, Berlin. Living in this orphanage for years to come, she would begin to develop symptoms of severe depression. Countless hours she would spend mopping about, only encompassed in her own self-pity. As time tormented Lilli, the orphanage took notice. Their psychologist had been charged with helping her. This man, Edward Steel, would pull her out of her depression and become her ultimate mentor. He would inspire her to pick back up in her studies and pull her grades from the deep. Through this phase, Lilli would pick up English and eventually master the language. In 2011, she would graduate high school, earning her GED.




    This wouldn’t stop her, Edward’s word would have inspired her to continue in her pursuit of knowledge. She was instantly accepted into a fair college in Cologne, Germany. She studied English for three years, eventually earning her bachelor’s degree in the subject. As soon as she had obtained her degree she would begin her search for a job.




    During her search, she was swept away into an English trading company that needed a translator. She would hold this job, sailing coast to coast between Germany and the UK. Although, in 2015 something immense had started; the portals. A brilliant display of blue and black lights had recently appeared over all the worlds major city’s. Riots broke out on the coasts, even within all the countries. Within this time of pandemonium, Lilli Jaeger would return to her family home in Hamburg, Germany. It hadn't even been a week before the portals were in use.




    The Union forces would sweep her off, and indoctrinate her into the Union’s database of citizens. She would be transferred to City Eighteen once it was ready for civil use. For four more years she would live amongst the citizens under the rule of the metropolitan police force. Eventually, she would decide to apply for the Combine Civil Authority so that she could protect others from her own past. She would turn in her application slip without the slightest bit of remorse or regret.

Yes. I had unit 822 whom was amputated due to becoming a schizophrenic.

822 was accepted into the CCA two weeks ago, and ever since he was interested in Union tech. He saw GRID units fixing all sorts of machines ranging from computers, APCs, and even war machines that thought for themselves. What interested 822 the most was War Machines they're AI core was far more advanced than any other machine he had seen. He wanted to do something with AI. He was soon put into class learning the ways of the CCA. He would always find time between classes to learn about AI and machines. During the Union Tech orientation he learned the final step to build an AI. After the class was done he started to ask around about broken Union tech he could have. Most of the GRID units had some junk that he could have but none of them had what he really need a console core. He started to look around the Nexus looking in tiny place that have not been viewed for a while. 822 was surprised to find out that most of the Nexus had trash laying in little nooks and cracks. But one day on his search he found something he found a small Data pad core. He ran as fast as he could to the break room with all of the spare parts. He started to put a device together in the shape of a square with a port that fit into the console. It was one week before he completed his device; the device still had no AI in it but would soon.

He got up for his chair in the break room, than moving over to the console. He looked all over the console for a plug. After 10 minutes of searching the ports on the console he found the one. With hope that it will work he attempted to plug it in. To his surprise he heard a snap than he let go of the device thinking it was in. It fell to the floor with a shatter the input of the device had broken off making it impossible to use. He looked down to see what had happened; he didn't find the device on the port where he left it, but found it way down on the ground with a few parts scattered around. 822 stared at the broken device for 2 minutes in shock not believing what had just happened. He worked half his days on it. Looking down in horror he crouched down to scrap the remains up. He walked back to his seat placing his spare parts on the table as well as the device.

He started to work on the device once again. This time he looked at all of the details. 822 started by taking the main plate off of the device to check if the core was still operational. He noticed nothing that would hint that it was broken. Carrying on he removed the rest of the plates to completely expose the inner core. He took out anything that was not needed such as the extra lining which served no purpose. In fact it caused more heat to be added to the core which would kill the AI. Now with the core completely exposed and everything that wasn't needed gone he could get to the real problem. He rummaged around in his pile of spare parts he found six plates, 23 nails, and 15 device inputs. He was pleased to know he had more than enough parts to use.

822 started to add the device inputs at the bottom of the device. He placed four inputs each of them in a perfect line. Next he used the extra lining from the core to strengthen the device inputs so it wouldn't fall apart; than he started to add the plates. He added the first plate with precision making sure the holes in the plate were lined with the nail holes. He did this process over and over again until he had a perfect square with a few inputs hanging out of the bottom. He got up from his seat heading over to the console with hope. He slipped the plugs into the ports. He heard a click than he let go. The device did not fall instead it brought up a coding program on the screen. He typed numbers that most would not understand.

After a few days of coding it was done. 822 took off his helmet when it was done. Next he started to modify his helmet redirecting wires to the speakers. He added a few new wires to the ear components. Next on the right side of his helmet he added a few intentions to fit the input devices on the AI core. He then redirected the device slot to his suit's battery. Next to ensure safety he added hinges on his helmet to make it flip to the right, but still detachable. He finally finished his helmet modification. He walked over the console taking the newly generated AI out than put it in his helmet, closing it. He then said "

Perks
More info when 822 needs it.- The AI is able to relay information to 822 when he asks.

Engorgement.- The AI can encourage 822 as he does his job.

 

Defects
Put downs.- The AI can also put 822 down in the dumps with insults when 822 doesn't want to do something.

Less running speed.- The AI will take up more power thus lowering my ability to run fast.

Battery power usage will be higher.- The AI will need power to stay alive which means my breaks will be more consistent.



What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
I plan on asking my AI information that I might have forgotten such as Protocols, radio codes, and detainment paper format. Most important I will ask the AI for information about BOLs and other citizens. The defects all leads to more breaks. Put downs will make 822 want to take more breaks because the AI makes him feel like the most lowermost unit on the force. Then he will need to charge more.

Okay, I'm going to tell you that I'm NOT going to META in anyway with the AI. Basically the AI acts like GLaDos from the Portal series.Also if I don't get the AI I will completely understand and be cooperative. PS: I'm sorry about lack of detail in the beginning.

As a child Bill Cooksey wanted to explore the world but those days never came. When the seven hour war came he was 20 and his dreams had faded away. He wasn't allowed out of his house by law. After the combine took the world he decided to just play along and do what was asked. Well he was scared because they took over the world in seven hours.

           He then heard of the new program called the Loyalist Program. So he decided that he needed benefits from the UU. He asked the MPF patrolling the streets if they need help with things. Almost all of them needed help. So he got eight points easily.

He asked a MPF and he recommended joining the CCA. He thought about what the MPF told him for a few days. Then he made his mind about it. Now he is turning in a application.

He is brave, loyal, and listens to others.

As a RCT I expect to be in the NEXUS for a long time. The MPF will be hard on me because of my low rank. I will not care about how mean they are. I will shut up and follow orders.
I will remain loyal to my commanders. No matter what the coast is. I will be nice to other RCT. This is how my character will react to the CCA.

A child was born his name was Bill Cooksey. The parents of this new-born Jane Cooksey and Nick Cooksey agreed to name him Bill.
"That’s a wonderful name!" the doctor said. Now they were leaving. "Have a nice day!" the doctor said. "You to!" said the Cookseys.

                       10 years later
Bill was now ten. He worked at the local drug store. The man he worked for was named Frank. This man was troubled he had just lost a son. Bill was serving people when he heard a thump. He rushed to the back room. Frank charged toward Bill with a knife. He didn't know what to do he was running toward him with a knife there was nothing he could do. He took a knife cut over his eye and he screamed "Stop!" . Frank stopped and started crying on the floor. Bill looked around and saw a deadly poison that was empty. “Frank did you eat those pills?". "Yes, I did there is no reason to live anymore argh!”. Bill watched his boss's mouth foam up then he died. He then called 911. They came and took care of the death site.

It was the seven hour war. He had just gotten his dream to be a explorer. Now he wasn't allowed to go outside because of the war. “Dang it so close to my dream then this happens!". Then he got a paper in the mail. "What does this say he thought?" then he opened it. "It said the Combine has won this is there world now you are now free to go out of your house.". So he did and he saw weird beings along the street. "What are those things?" he thought. He asked what they were. That wasn't the best idea they beat him and took him to the detainment center. After allot of question they kicked him out. He learned that they are human and that you should respect them.

                            After war
Bill was having a nice life under the protection of the MPF. He then heard of a program called the Loyalist program. So he asked the MPF about it. He picked up points fast. After five points a MPF said "You should apply to be a MPF." .Then Bill gave it thought. He made a app and turned it in thinking "I hope I get accepted. ".

It happened yesterday. The OTA arrived in the city and I was cleaning the streets. I think I did good PainRP and FearRP. It was madness with the MPF barking orders at me and the OTA firing. That is my most memorable experience.
