How long have you been in City45:
I have been in City 45 for about two days now, almost three. I've enjoyed it here greatly, but I have noticed that there is a bit of a lack of Civil Workers.

Why do you want to join the CWU?:
I would like to join the CWU to help maintain the city, and further the Union. I would also like to get some practical skills and training. I believe that with more workers City 45 could become even greater than it is now.

Have you ever been detained before?(If so why):
No, I have never been detained before.

Past experience with work/labor:
I worked as a volunteer at a vetrenary clinic when I was younger. I've also had some passing jobs in small convinience stores and resturants working the register. I also occasionally helped my mother and father fix up the house and keep the garden growing. All of this was before the Universal Union came to earth.

Can have:
Union approved food and drinks to eat, or sell.

Medical supplies and cleaning supplies to heal citizens and clean.

Tell us about what you can do.:
I can give very basic medical help, as well as sell Union branded goods. I have plenty of experience with people and consider myself to have good social skills. I could also assist citizens or Civil Protection units with tasks such as cleaning or repairing.

If a citizen asks for help and is new to the city, what would you do?:
I would first show him to the ration distribution area and inform them how to act in line. I would then show them the area's they can and cannot enter, and remind them of the Unions laws. Then I would show them all of the stores and other key locations in the city, and finally show them the apartments. If they needed it, I would also help them find the apartment they have been issued.

Detail a regular day as a worker of the CWU?:
The worker would wake up, dress, and make themselves decent. They would then head out and, depending on what they are meant to do, would either clean, or see if anyone needs medical help, perhaps open a store and sell Union goods to the citizens.

If opening a store, you would organize an area for everyone to line up, and obviously get some goods to sell. You would then unlock the doors and make some indicator that the store is open. Finally, after the day is over, the worker would head back home and sleep, then do the same in the morning.

Character Backstory:
Loretta Rayne was born on the 23rd of October, 1994, in London. Her father worked in a nearby wharehouse as a supervisor, while her mother stayed at home and took care of her. As a child Loretta was unable and unwilling to concentrate in school, prefering to talk to the other children and make friends. She quickly made many friends, and managed to still pass her classes, if only barely.

As a teenager she stayed about the same. She was too lazy to do any kind of real work in school, and still only barely managed to keep her grades up. The only work that Loretta really cared for was her volunteer job at a vetrenary clinic, something about the responsibilities of taking care of an actual living creature made her feel like she was doing something worthwhile. She also worked a variety of other jobs, store clerk, fast food cashier, waitress, and other things like that.

When the combine came in 2015, Loretta was awoken by her panicking mother in the night, who dragged her into the living room to see the news. She couldn't properly believe it, it was midnight and she was expected to believe that aliens were invading the earth, destroying armies, and quickly taking over. Soon after she saw the news she heard the fire. She could hear yelling, outside, and gunfire in the distance. She didn't move at all that night, too shocked to do anything.

After the war, she was moved into city 8, and did some basic work there, cleaning, fixing, building. Loretta was moved from city to city often, never having time to make any real friends. Finally, after many, many relocations, she was moved to City 45, and hopes to stay here for some time. She believes that maybe joining the CWU will decrease her chances of being relocated again, but only time will tell.

Note: For whatever reason it won't let me put 0 as my loyalist points. I'm fairly sure it's a bug, so I had to put 1 instead.

08/03/2017,
I've escaped from city 45, finally. The cannals are dangerous though, already I've met two men, both armed. I tripped over some ammo laying in the grass, and managed to trade it off for a few melons and a medkit. I also found a medkit sitting on the roof of one of the buildings, I had to jump but I managed to get a good grip on in and pull it off the roof, I fell and scraped my knee, but no problem. One of the men also gave me a free backpack, so I don't have to hold everything in my satchel anymore, which is good. As well as armed men, there's also OTA, Antlions, and even headcrabs to watch out for. This may not have been the best decision, but getting back in the city is harder than getting out. I'm currently living insome kind of factory or treatment plant. I'm actually afraid, for once, but I'm sure it'll all work out. Anyway, I better get back to scrounging in the mud for food.

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
Elyse Keys has wanted to join the Combine Civil Authority mostly because of combine propaganda. At the beginning Elyse didn't like the combine all to much, but as time passed the effects of combine propaganda and brainwashing slowly turned her into a loyalist. By the time she transferred to City 45 she believed that the Universal Union was responsible for saving the human race from self destruction, and that it was working to lead them to a brighter future. When she arrived she knew that all she wanted to do was help the UU, she was set on joining the Civil Workers Union and working to provide a brighter future.

A few days after her arrival however, another of the City Administrators' speeches began. Elyse of course listened intently, and at one point during the speech, the CA told the citizens of city 45 that one of the best ways to help the Union was to join the CCA of city 45. Elyse thought for some time on the matter, and eventually decided it would be best if she joined the CCA. She had seen how the units patrolled, tall, proud, and seemingly invincible.

Elyse began to work to better the city, cleaning benches, raking leaves, washing windows. She tried her best to deter anyone from committing any form of socio-stability infraction and made sure that those that did where caught. Elyse spent most all of her days asking units if there was work to be done, and then heading to complete any task assigned to her. She was set to get a loyalist armband and join the CCA. All in all, the reason Elyse wishes to join the CCA is to better the union in a greater way than simply picking up some leaves, or washing a bench or two.

2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)
Elyse is Trustworthy, determined, calm, and Loyal, though she lacks in independence, stresses easily,  and is not very decisive in a stressful situation.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
I am expecting the CCA to be a great learning experience, as well as a lot of fun. I'm hoping that a lot has changed since I was in it before, so that it will really feel like I'm new. I think that the CCA is going to be a great place to develop my character, and hopefully I'll have to do things my character may not agree with. I think that the CCA is going to be a smooth running organization, and that I will fit in just fine.

I am expecting the CCA to be a way for my character to learn useful skills, and use them to stop the enemies of the UU. I expect that the CCA will be very taxing on my characters mind and body, and most likely not live up to her expectations of service. I expect the CCA to be much more routine and dull than my character believes it is, though she will still feel overwhelmed by the amount of work and training that she has to do. I am expecting the CCA to be a fun and educational experience for both me, and my character.

4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
Elyse was born on April 5th, 1992 to a loving mother and father. Her childhood was decent, sh had enough friends, and her family cared about her. When the combine invaded, Elyse was afraid. Her brother, having joined the military a few years before, was killed. Elyse swore that she would avenge him, and when she was in city 25 she plotted and schemed, waiting for the right moment to attack the combine. To her disappointment, the moment never came, she was unable to get her hands on any contraband nor weapons of any sort.

Elyse moved from City to city, and the propaganda slowly tore away at her. The Union propaganda, combined with her eventual will to forget turned her, slowly, into a loyal citizen of the Union. Elyse eventually forgot, she forgot abut her past life, where she had been, what had happened. She forgot about her friends, family, and even all the events leading to the combine invasion. Finally, her mind gave in and she began working for he Union, helping in any way she could.

By the time she arrived in city 45 she was completely brainwashed, helping the Union as much as she could. By this time she thought, truly, that the union was what had saved humanity from destruction and that it was leading humanity to a greater future. She was certain what she must do, and began to work on getting a loyalist armband so that she could join the CWU. After some time, another speech from the CA came on, and she of course listened intently. The speech spoke of the things she knew, of how the Union had saved humanity from destruction and was leading it to the future. At some point during the speech, however, the CA said that one of the best ways to assist the Union was to join the CCA.

Elyse thought about this for some time, she had seen the units of course. They walked with a purpose, they looked down on the citizens, but with good reason. They looked down on the citizens because they ARE better than the citizens. They helped the Union in so many ways, there was so much work to be done to quell the rebellious madmen that would have you think that the Universal Union where evil, and that they sought to destroy humanity.

She then knew what had to be done, she knew that she would have to sign up for the CCA and work as hard as she could to stop these people. She then set to work writing her application.

Yes, it was removed simply because I was gone for a long time.

7. What’s your most memorable quality RP experience?
My most memorable RP experience was on CG HL2RP, It was as my old unit, 729. I'm not sure if it's my most memorable out of pride, but it may be. 729 was out on patrol, and a call came in from OTA that a CCA unit had been wounded. 729 hurried back to the nexus to find the unit, an 04 if I remember right, horribly injured. His stomach and chest where ripped open and he was bleeding heavily Being a NOVA 02 729 set to work. After lot's of bandaging, healing and working, the unit was stable, and was going to survive. A short time after 729 was called in to the HC meeting room. As he entered the NOVA Dvl. was waiting for him. He was holding a medal. The Dvl asked 729 to step forward, and then awarded him with a medal for outstanding achievement in NOVA Duties.

I'm back from the mysterious void to which I left many months ago. I'm sure catalyst has a lot new players now and some of you may be wondering, who is this punk? I'll tell you. No one of importance. Anyway, I'm back and it'll probably be for a long time.

EDIT: If your wondering WHY I left.... I have no good answer. I was just bored.

I guess I should start writing my experiences in City 18, so here's the short version.

My roommate is a lunatic,
Some irish guy seems to like me,
I'm sending a ton of letters to the CA(s).

The long version, now. I arrived in City 18 and  seemed mostly the same as the last city. I seemed to arrive during a broadcast from Doctor Grigory. He was reading letters, and it gave me an Idea, I could ask him why, why were books outlawed? All of them but propaganda. He answered each of my letters but the last, where I asked why fiction stories are outlawed. It seems that he ignored it, or it was lost. Anyway, during this time, an Irishman by the name of Mickey gave me some paper, he also sent a letter to the CA, calling him an Ignorant Arseface... He was, of course, detained, and tortured, but he is alive.

I decided it was a bit lonely, so I got a roommate, Angela. Sh seemed nice enough, and she went out for a while and came back... with an ear.. She said she bought it from a friend who had "Two Extra"... Later that day, a man missing an ear came, and when I asked, he made the exscuse he was CUTTING AN APPLE, and Angela agreed with him. Of course this can mean one thing, I'm roommates, with a loon. How wonderfull.

Today I sent another letter, to a different CA. Asking if I could have a Citizen Run newspaper, he said it would be a good idea, but he can't give authorization... Figures. I am going to ask him who CAN give authorization, in my next letter.

As of tommorow I'll be gone for 2 weeks. Why? Cuz I'm grounded (as of tommorow) and it sucks. I won't be on forums or servers. Goodbye.

For some reason, when people use the female 01 model, it messes up for me. I never had this issue before. This is what I mean.
