<::|| *A unit standing at about 5' 7" with an average build appears on screen. He wears a new and clean uniform with a stun baton on his belt, along with several small pouches. On his right arm is a "S1-RCT" armband, and on his left is a sheathed K-BAR Utility knife. He clears his voice then begins to speak.*

"Hello, this is Unit  Two-twenty-eight here with my first log since the big training system and rank reset. A decent amount has happened over the past few months. i am aware that my logs lessened as I was promoted to Oh-four in NOVA and became busier. Unfortunately though, I have demoted to Recruit."

*The unit sighs, then turns around to look at a tall unit in an Officers uniform as he walks by.*

"Oh-fifty, sir. Will you be available for training any time soon?"

*The tell unit turns his head to look at 228 and nods, responding, "In a cycle." then continues on his way down the stairs leading from the breakroom. The unit then turns back around to look at the camera.*

"I can't believe I'm stuck with all this 'croot bullshit again. Well, I'm going to log off now so I can get ready for training. Unit 228 out."

*The unit extends his index finger and presses a bright green button, and the camera goes dark.*||::>

Adam Henmon's Civil Authority Application

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
My character worked as a General Store owner for the vast majority of his life. He had intended to go into Law Enforcement once out of College but had decided to begin his career doing what he had always done: Working in a store. Envying his Father and Brother his whole life took its toll. My character soon began to imagine what it would be like to become an officer. So he decided to go onto something to help slightly fill the void. He worked as a Bodyguard for several years seeing he was well trained with a weapon by his father. The feeling of purpose knowing he was protecting lives reminds him of how he feels Civil Protection must be like. Over time he began to protect more and more important people, giving him the sense of progression through ranks.

His life seems empty now without that feeling of purpose. He misses the feeling of a snug Kevlar vest and a holstered taser at his side, and he stares at Civil Protection Officers with envy every time they pass by. He wonders what it would be like to have a job similar to his old one. He hopes that by becoming an Officer it'll fill that void in his life. One of the things that fueled him to want to become an officer is the day he had a lengthy conversation with one. He asked the officer what it was like the day he was accepted and he responded, “Probably one of the only exciting things that have happened to me in a long time. I'm glad I'm one of them now because it makes me feel powerful.” That gives him an even larger urge to become one.

When he received his Business Permit he hoped it would make life interesting but it made things seem worse. He sits behind the counter everyday bored, waiting for customers to come around. Over time the boredom becomes so bad that beating people with Stun Batons started to seem appealing. He wonders everyday what it'd be like to enter the Nexus out of free will. When he was brought inside to meet a City Administrator, the doctor encouraged him to join the Combine Civil Authority. With someone of authority pushing him to do so he felt it was for the best and became eager to do so. Over time his urge becomes worse and worse with the Officers making contact with him regularly. The idea has almost become an addiction for him and it's starting to become unbearable. He'll do almost anything to become an officer.


2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)
Adam is a Trustworthy, Loyal man who can be very patriotic and sometimes even Nationalistic. He's Intelligent, Kind, and Caring towards people close to him. He's very Respectful and follows any orders given to him by superiors. He is a quick learner and tends to research interesting topics. All of this put aside he is a little distant from strangers and even people he knows.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
For me I expect Combine Civil Authority to be quite entertaining. I've wanted to be a part of it since I first joined the server and I see them walking around the streets and wonder what it must be like to know you have power over practically everyone else around you. I am a little worried about there being poor role play with citizens because of minges but I'm willing to look past all of that. The time that I entered the Nexus I found it quite neat, organized and overall kind of cool. I believe I'll enjoy roleplaying as an Officer more then as some boring old shop owner and I look forward to having that feeling of power over the people around me. I think that it'll be fun and maybe even a little exciting. I've always wanted to join some form of Law Enforcement and I think this will give me something like what I'm looking for.

I think that this will give my character that sense of meaning again once he's joined. I feel that he'll enjoy his new line of work and that he'll take it very seriously as well as I believe that he'll progress through ranks quickly because he'll follow all orders he'll receive as soon as he receives them. I think he'll enjoy Combine Civil Authority very much as it'll seem like he's doing what he's comfortable doing. I do believe he'll be disoriented at first because he's been running a general store for a while and it'll take a bit of time getting used to it again. He may or may not enjoy being around some of the other Officers and will probably try to stay independent as best he can without making it seem like he's doing anything suspicious. Overall I believe Adam will strongly enjoy becoming a Civil Protection Officer.


4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
As a child Adam had always been very happy and very playful. He had two older brothers and Uncle who lived with them. He was very close to the younger of his two older siblings, Nathan. He looked up to him as saw him as his role model. He would always follow him around, jumping on him, begging for piggy back rides and in general just being a lively little child. His mother worked as a secretary for a large business called “Stellin Corporations” and his father was a Police Officer. His oldest brother, Michael, avoided his younger brother but didn't nessicarily dislike them. He was the quieter type and preferred to stay in his room the majority of his time. Adam grew up with a good education and was on his way to a fairly good life. When he turned twelve he was in his bedroom doing homework when he received a phone call from his father. He told him that his mother and Nathan had just been in a car accident. Adam's Uncle Joe, his mother's brother, took him to the hospital. Unfortunately when they arrived it was too late. Nathan and his mother were dead.

By the time Adam was a teenager he was still going through a long stage of depression from his mother and brother's deaths. He distanced himself from the rest of the family and slowly began to distance himself from his closest friends. When he turned fifteen his older brother Michael was nineteen and joined the Police Forced with his father. With the majority of his family out of the house and Uncle being a constant drunk he began to try and make some friends. With most of his old connections lost due to his own sorrow he looked to neighbors and people from nearby towns for company. Although he made some friends he didn't find it very easy to make many and felt that what he had was enough. Time passed on and when he turned seventeen another tragedy occurred. Adam's Uncle had been at a bar one day and gotten into a fight with another man. They were both drunk and the man Joe attacked drew a gun on him and shot him several times in the chest. At his funeral Adam found himself rather calm. He realized that he didn't know his uncle very well and never really loved him. He moved on from this and graduated high school with decent grades.

As a now young adult, Adam attended Rowan University in South Jersey for six years before graduating. Throughout college he pondered what job he would take on after he graduated but came up with nothing. One day his brother Michael visited him during his last year in college to tell him that he was going to join the military. Adam wasn't at all shocked by this and congratulated his brother on being brave enough to make this his goal. It was later that same day that he decided he wanted to follow his father's and brother's paths and join Law Enforcement. However after he graduated from college he decided that he wasn’t ready to join the Police Force. So after College he decided to get a loan from the bank and opened his own store. He thought for days what to have it called and decided on “Henmon’s General Goods”. As time passed while he worked in his store he slowly became envious of his father. He wanted to join Law Enforcement but wasn’t sure he was ready. He had been trained to use a taser as a child by his father but wasn’t sure about the responsibility. Over time however he passed manager ship over to a trusted employee but still kept ownership of the store. He bought a taser not long after and put an ad in the phone book for his new Body Guard career. Over time he slowly began to get calls and as his popularity grew he began to protect more important people. During the time while he was working as a Body Guard the Combine had invaded the planet, taking over in the seven hours and had begun to move people to new locations. He, as well as others, was placed in City 16 not too long after the attack.  Over time however he was eventually moved to City 45. He now resides here, hoping to join Combine Civil Authority.

I wanted to make corrections to my charcters past career as a Body Gaurd and overall knowledge. Any stated usage of firearms  is being replaced with tasers as well as Adam's training as a child. Instead of being trained to fire a gun his father taught him to protect himself with a taser if need be. Thank you.

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
     My character has always wanted to grow up and follow his fathers foot steps. His dad was in Law Enforcement about 3 years before the Combine invaded. He was killed on a job to arrest a drug dealer, throwing his son into grief. With the old Law Enforcement now gone he has only one other option, to join the CCA.

     Adam Henmon wants to join the CCA to follow in his fathers footsteps as best as possible and to enforce the new law. He has always supported the Combine and now wishes to watch the street for them. It's now his only goal and aims to please.

     Adam wants to be able to keep misbehaving Anti-Citizens off the streets and to bring peace to people recovering from chaos. He hopes to learn more discipline and to gain respect from other people as well as superiors. He wants to prove hsi worth and not be seen as one of the common dogs. And most of all he must follow his father in the new world Law enforcement of CCA.

Adam is a kind but straight forward person. He can be Aggressive and take action immediatly if he has to. He prefers to avoid conflicted but isn't afraid. He's Trustworthy, Loyal, Hard working but ca be Sneaky and Manipulative. At times he can be very Cold and Cruel if you provoke him.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
     I expect CCA to be everything he's wanted. I expect him to progress through the ranks at a decent rate as he'll be eager to do whatever he can. He'll probably be diswraught by how much conflict he'll confront but he won't complain about it. He'll probably enjoy the job very much and get a hold of things quickly.

     Adam will most likely be curious of motives at first making him uneasy around other Officers but he'll get used to things. He'll work hard and maybe even have fun with it. He will definately not dissapoint and will get moral boosts from any compliments to his work.

4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
     Adam was born on May 8th, 1996. His mother died giving birth to him so all he ever had was his father. When he was around 17 he recieved a call saying that his father had been kill in a gun fight. When he asked further details they said he went to get a dealer and was killed turning a corner. Not long after the funeral he moved into his Aunts home until he graduated high school. He got his own apartment and lived there until the invasion.

     After the invasion Adam was devastated. He had always wanted to be a police Officer to follow his fathers footsteps. Now in the new world he lived in City 36 dreading the Combine. Before long he convinvced himself they were only there to help and began to trust them. One day he noticed CCA officers walking around and realised they were the new police here to help. Not long after him and 50 other people were shipped out of C-36 and he was the only one to be transfered to City 45.

   Before his transferring Adam had lived with his cousin in an apartment in the UCH. They would often be together constantly althought they would always argue. Adam's cousin, Jake, couldn't stand the combine. They took his family away from him and killed them all. Adam tried to convince him that it was because they resisted but was always ignored. Over time Jake saw how Adam looked at the CCA and kicked him out.

     Adam ended up living in his own apartment waiting for the day he could join. One day CCA charge through the building taking everyone out of their rooms. They were all lined up on the bottom floor for inspection and a search. The Officers told them that 5 rebels were living in the building and asked they be given up. Not long after they decided upon who they were and killed them right there. Jake was one of them.

     Adam felt no mercy or shame. He figured he deserved it for being against the new law. For shaming his Uncle, Adam's father. Soon they were transported over night and now Adam is in City 45, trying to get used to thing and to join the CCA.

     I led a group of soldiers through a heavily armed enemy base on another server. We came across what seemed like a lab and scanned the area. Within a few second half my team was dead and I had to quickly evacuate the rest before it was too late. as my team escaped I made sure my enemies were occupied so i stayed and opened fire on them. Within a few seconds I was ICly killed but my team had made it away.

Entry 1

            Just arrived at City 45 this afternoon. Things got rolling pretty fast. I worked my way around town to see how things we're set up, and it wasn't all too different. Same layout, lots of Civil Protection units the the Big Ol' Nexus. I got off from the train station and was headed for the Union Civil Housing. Once Inside I rented a room and hung out for a while. It wasn't long before they began to set up the execution. A little curious I deci-

Damn, anyways I decided to go out and watch, not much choice anyways since they are mandatory. After the ball got rolling the Division Leader gave a speech about how the guy getting hung was being punished for leaving the Civil Workers Union and ran for D6. Damn shame. After he was hung I was bold, and stupid, enough to ask if we could leave. And O1 came over and escorted me to a wall. Bastard beat me ten times. That was actually my first beating. Now I understand why there's a resistance. They're against these bastards and everything they are doing.


I'll get those bastards back. You just wait.
