Suggestions / Fuel changes/balancing.
« on: June 04, 2013, 05:49:42 PM »
So as we all know trucks use up more fuel, sedans and little cars don't use that much and sports cars and SUVs vary. However the amount they hold is different.
Most trucks usually have a large diesel tank which would get them pretty far. Sedans, coops, and other little vehicles don't care much but have a good fuel economy. Sports cars and SUVs all vary in their fuel tanks but they usually carry a decent amount.

This suggestion is to rework the vehicles to make the amount of fuel a vehicle holds be more realistic.
Im talking about specifics but just in general:

Mule and Yankee: They should have maybe another 2-300 liters. They are trucks, they would carry a lot. Plus they are slow.
Hummer H1, it holds 900 liters for fuel yet realistically it burns it just like a truck, and it holds as much as a truck. Just supporting the idea that trucks would get more fuel. Also this is an SUV technically but its basically a truck when it comes to fuel.

The Ferrari F1 (Little convertible) holds 850 liters, when realistically it holds less than what a ford fusion or something holds. It should be reduced. Same thing with the BMW 507.

Sports cars:
The McLaren and the Reventon both cost between 829-900k and both have 500 liters of fuel. Then one tiny step up the the Audi B8 and you get an extra 350 liters? Kind of ridiculous that its that big of a jump. And the McLaren is pretty equal to that vehicle besides how much gas it holds. I think the McLaren and Reventon should both be boosted to 650-850 liters.

Minicooper: It holds as much as some of the top cars like the Reventon and McLaren, and holds the same amount the mule does. Really? A truck who's gas tanks combined are 1/2 the size of the mini, basically, has the same amount as the mini. Its just ridiculous, however I am not in favor of reducing the mini...or maybe just by 50 liters or so.

All vehicles besides the ATV and mini should have a decent amount of fuel and average 450-600. When it comes to SUVs and trucks I think should be around 550-800 if not more considering how much they realistically hold. And sports cars/fast ones should be anywhere from 650-850.

These are just my ideas however just in general I think people can agree its a bit odd how some cars have so much more or the equal amount to a vehicle which realistically doesn't even hold half as much as another.

Suggestions / Ten percent fuel
« on: June 03, 2013, 11:00:34 PM »
First idea) So I looked at update 12.2 which removed the cars spawning with 100% fuel, which was a problem another time and fixed and now its fixed again. Anyway I was thinking, why not have a minimum amount of fuel the car spawns with, maybe 5-10%. Main reason is that you would never park your car on empty just to have it towed because you cannot fuel it up with a gas can. Realistically you would go to the gas station first. This would stop people from having to either call a tow truck which realistically, again, would never happen unless you have a brain the size of a peanut, or rejoin the server. People should keep track of their fuel, but you can forget. Plus since cars are required to turn off to save fuel people may accidently forget to turn it off. Or what if you are arrested? Then your car may still be running and apon release you have no way of getting fuel.

Second idea) Other idea still has to do with the update and whatnot but why not have the NPC give the option to spawn the car with a tiny bit of fuel. It could be more expensive than regular fuel but it would be just enough to get you to the gas station. The way the NPC would work is there is still all of the cars but instead of clicking on a car and it spawning on the right side by the description it would have two options,"Spawn vehicle," and ,"Spawn vehicle with fuel," or something similar.

Just something I though of. Also as I wrote it I think like 20-40 liters would be what you get, not percentage. Since some cars have more fuel than others.

Denied Suggestions / Skins/Body groups.
« on: May 28, 2013, 10:18:37 PM »
If you have not installed the TDM SVN here is the truck URL: http://gmod-dl.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/TDMCarpack/

Since, based on the vote so far and the obvious outcome, TDM vehicles will be the majority of the vehicles in the game and will replace many current sickness ones I thought about the skins TDM offers. If you looked at my video for the thread I made of a Jeep Wrangler and Ford Crown Victoria rotating you can see three variants of skins and body groups on the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford. The ford isn't TDM but it does get the idea across.

Your gona see me mention the Jeep constantly, its just a perfect example because it has so many add-ons. Plus I already had the video made.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA_flsTOPU0
- Ford Crown Victoria Rotating

1) My idea is that we add these as options to vehicles. Either by going to someone to customize and/or getting them on purchase. Most TDM vehicles offer skins and some have body groups. Although some skins may not change the vehicle that much or at all some others would have use for them. For example if you looked at the Jeep on the spinning wheel you saw a black hard-top roof and the flares were black too. On the others the roof was painted, the painted ones are other skins. And then there is even more detail into the Jeep, look at the hood for the one on the wheel, then look at the one with a snorkel on the left, and the regular hood on the right. And even more! The bumper changes, in that showcase I display two of the three bumpers it can get, a heavy duty one with a winch and just one that is basically a ram looking thing.
And that isn't all, but there is too much to mention.

Now we want unique vehicles, something like this I feel would bring a lot more in. Lets say 20 people own the Jeep (Because it is the most amazing car of all time duuuu ;) ) it would look boring seeing them in six or seven colors all the same. If they were slightly different it would be much nicer to see. And just think real life, you see a car of the same model, is it always the same? Or customized?

Now my idea for how this would work is when you purchase the car and/or customize it with an NPC there is a little slider. As you move it, it shows the changes as you move it across for the skin, and the same thing with all of the body groups.

2) Now, if it's "too complex" (which it isn't) here is another idea. Again the Jeep, lets say you buy it stock, nothing shows up on it. Regular old jeep, regular bumper no nothing. If you get armor on it, it could change the skin, bumper and maybe add other stuff like a skirt and wing. Just another idea I am throwing out there.

Accepted Suggestions / Jeep Wrangler and Ford Crown Victoria
« on: May 17, 2013, 08:39:44 PM »

I am making a suggestion for these two vehicles to be added to the server.

First: The Ford Crown Victoria, made by SentryGunMan. For a while now we have wanted a new police car to replace the vapid, and here I give you the solution. If you know SentryGunMan then you know he is one of the four main creators of the WAC helicopters. He, by himself, made all of the planes that are now out. And after he had played on our server he wanted to introduce his vehicle on our server.

Now everyone must feel that the vapid is currently a favorite, or at least over the Dodge. But this is even better. Better quality and exactly what we have been looking for. Plus, the creator WANTS US to use it. So not really using it without any kind of permission.

Now, benefits of adding this new vehicle:

- A higher quality vehicle with excellent sounds.
- New options for how it can be spawned. There are two skins that it could use as a police vehicle, also there is a civilian version if you want it to be converted so people can buy it too.
- It already has perfect steering, SentryGunMan didn't slap this vehicle together like most others you see around, like many TDM cars.
- Just another new thing that people can look at and enjoy.
- If not for the civilian use, the white skin can be used as an undercover sort of thing. The vehicle also has several body groups, which include lights. When the undercover cop turns them on they can appear maybe. Just an idea.
- Good, realistic sounds based on real police vehicles, not some random stuff like we hear in game.

Here is the other police skin that it can have:

And now here is a small video of it rotating around and with the two other skins next to it. The white one could be used for civilian use or maybe even an undercover car like SentryGunMan wanted it to be.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA_flsTOPU0

Another picture looking up near the rear to give a better look at the quality:

Now onto the Jeep Wrangler by TDM: The Jeep, the only vehicle type our server doesn't have. We have trucks, SUVs, sedans, ATVs, buses, coops, and many others. But not one of the most iconic vehicles around the world. The Jeep is one of the most renowned vehicles in America, and when it comes to the military it was a favorite. Even to the public people just loved the thing. It drives like no other vehicle, I personally own one and if you get into a Jeep you will realize that. I just find it a bit ridiculous that we do not have this class of vehicle in the game yet and I am asking for it to be added.
The TDM jeep is well made, in fact the handling is perfect. Nothing with that needs to be changed, don't believe me? Install the TDM SVN and you will see how great it performs. Changing it will only make it worse, believe me.

Benefits:
- We will finally have pretty much every general class of vehicle in our servers.
- A favorite vehicle to many people will not be added into the game.
- It provides a new experience for players if it is left alone (Not changed). It performs very well offroad, like a real jeep does. The suspension and everything just proves this.
- People WILL love it. Like the PMP it would be a reliable vehicle because of how it would perform offroad and it's handling.

Now you may be thinking there is already other vehicles that people want added and why should this be more special? Its a different class, we have no Jeeps. And considering it's history I don't see why some new thing like the Bugatti is added when one of the most important vehicles in military and civilian history is not. And in real life I love my Jeep, everyone does. If you have seen a Jeep go for sale and at what price you will notice they don't lose their value at all. They are just proven vehicles.

Video of it rotating around in a circle, some skins and body groups are shown:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAjNQ9wBGbU

And here is a very good video on the military history of the Jeep, just so you can see why it was so important, if you watch it I give you free hugs!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ygsz6J_r0aU

And an image showing the detail on it from around the rear:

Also here are my thoughts on what should be added with it:
- It should be "very strong," considering the fact that it can CLIMB ROCKS! lol.
- The fuel should be good. After 2012 Jeeps now have about 18-20 mpg city. Used to be like 14-15 I believe. So I am thinking 4-500 liters.
- Considering it's performance, it should be priced around at least 200k+, not realistic but since when are the prices in game that.
- I want to make a suggestion for all the TDM cars we have for this but there is different body groups for the hood, adding armor could make a change that you could see on the Jeep. Same for the bumper, upgrade to the winch or other one.
- Keep in mind, its a 4 seater not a five. Realistically it would be impossible unless they were three babies, its small. I own one lol.

Again, I own one, it is an amazing vehicle in real life, and in this TDM version. Adding it will not be regretted.
I hope you enjoy this suggestion and support it, as I love the Jeep and SentryGunMan's police cruiser. Don't belive me that they are good? Try them with the links below (SVN trunk for TDM cars and Workshop page for SentryGunMan's car).

General Discussion / Father broke FearRP
« on: May 16, 2013, 12:51:36 PM »
So yea, my dad was in the city working and while he was driving he saw one of those hotdog stands and wanted one. When he got it and headed back to his car a young kid (11-13ish he said) put a gun to his stomach and told him to give him his wallet. My dad smacked the kid and told him to fuck off and then drove off. Few moments later going,"OH SHIT!" realizing he could have been shot. So uhhh....yea....FearRP bro, :o

Guides / [OCRP2] SWAT Guide

Guide To

This guide will give you a better understanding of the rules and purpose of this job and what you need to do to accomplish the tasks being in it.

First thing to remember is that they follow the same rules as police, however they are different. If you were looking for the guide to police look here: Future Link

Quote
Police/SWAT rules

Do not randomly arrest/handcuff players

•Do not handcuff someone because they're annoying you. They have to be breaking a law.
•Only handcuff/arrest if you have a valid reason to do so.
•The handcuff rules applies to zip-ties as well.

Only use your sidearm if your life is in danger. Walking around with your gun out is not allowed.

•Do not use it to scare others or for "fun".

Do not depend on shooting vehicles to stop them.

•You must try all means necessary to stop a criminal in a vehicle before shooting it.
•You need to wait at least 5 minutes in a car chase before shooting their vehicle.
•You may shoot a car if it is for a serious crime, ex. murder.

You may not invade property without a warrant

•Get a warrant from the mayor or the police chief. If there is none and you cannot get a warrant, you cannot invade property.
•Even if you KNOW they have pot, you cannot raid them without a warrant

Get a proper warrant

•Roleplay getting the owner of the houses name via your police cars radio/police computer.
•Do not just look on the door to see who owns the place.

Do your job

•Do not ignore cries for help or 911 calls
•Listen to those above you (Mayor, or police chief) SWAT and Police Officers are the same rank.
Crap-Head, on OCRP2 rules thread.

Just some rules that may be different are:
1) You will not really be in car chases, so you shouldn't really be shooting a vehicle at all unless gunmen who shot at police went into it and are trying flea.
2) If there is a dispatcher, try to ask to report to a 911 call if it involves something serious. Such as a shooting. If there is no dispatcher, just try your best to do your job properly in those types of situations. If you see a call saying,"Some guy in a red hummer just hit my car heading towards the city," you shouldn't be doing anything. That is what police are for.

And just keep in mind that you are equal to police. Many believe that as a SWAT officer you may boss around police, you are the same.

Now that we got the rules down, next is the question of how to become a SWAT officer.
You probably noticed that there is no place in the Nexus to apply for it. That is because becoming a SWAT officer is a special thing. In order for this to happen the mayor, or a previous one, has to assign a police chief. Then that chief may promote people to SWAT spending 50 dollars of the city's money. And because that is a lot in terms of the money the city has, that is why there aren't many SWAT around. So to become SWAT ask your chief if you may become it. Other SWAT cannot promote people, so don't bother asking them. But if there is a need for them, ask the mayor if they can spare the money to promote a chief if there is none and ask him/her to promote SWAT.

Now your duty, what you need to do.
1) Remember, your not a cop. Your job is to go into any kind of serious situation that may be life threatening to anyone. You are the heavy infantrymen of the city who go into situations to help stop any kind of loss of life.
2) You should know that in real life, SWAT don't come out unless something is going on. Park your truck at the Nexus and wait for a call, if you do not want to wait then become a police officer again.
3) You got the heavy equipment. When doing a raid or defending against a large threat, you need to take the hits. Utilize your weapons and armor to accomplish your tasks. You have them for a reason, to stay alive and take down targets. Keep in mind your not invincible, but you are more bullet prone than your police comrades.
4) Teamwork. When you are the only SWAT it may be difficult to coordinate other officers. But try your best, you need to try and keep everyone you can alive. Don't send people into a situation you know will be fatal for them. And with other SWAT members do the same thing. You guys all know you got the proper equipment for any situation. But play it safe, and try to keep it as clean as possible.
5) Silence. Many times I hear people on the radio talking about a future raid. Stay quiet before a raid, as police should too. The best kind of raid is a surprise one. Have your chief coordinate it and organize before moving in.

Again, your purpose is to save lives and stop any kind of threat out there. Play it safe and do your job right and you will be successful. Don't and you will most likely fail. Most of the time a raid may fail because people are going into a situation with no plan, again, do your job.

Your tools:

Police Baton: It is simple, beat down people who are not following your orders. Do not abuse this, don't go around hitting innocent people/people who are obeying.

Hand-Cuffs: Right click to hand-cuff people. As a SWAT officer you cannot arrest people, left click as a policeman would do this but as SWAT it does nothing. To actually arrest people have an officer bring them to the Nexus to do so. When you are handcuffing someone it takes a second to apply, so keep looking at them until it is done. If it was successful there should be a blue text above their head(s) saying [Handcuffed]

Zip-Tie: Very useful tool, unlike hand-cuffs zip ties are fast and easy to use. Left click to apply them and right to take them off a person(s). It is good for quickly stopping a person from being able to use their hands. Hand-cuffs take a little bit of time.

USP: 15 round pistol with decent damage. Its a good sidearm when your UMP45 and Shotgun are out of ammo.

UMP45: Fast shooting SMG which uses Police SMG ammo. Holds 30 rounds and will put down enemies real quick, good at range too.

SWAT Issued Shotgun: Holding 8 rounds and shooting really quickly this weapon is deadly. One shot at close range will knock even an armored man down. Unlike the police shotgun which knocks down doors leaving a door behind, this shotgun basically disintegrates it. Nothing will be left of the door once you used it.

Your body armor: It does not make you invincible but it does help. It will help you stay alive but you can still be easily knocked out/killed. Do not rely on it to save your life, just know that it is there to help you stay in the fight.

Your armored truck: It is one of the most brute vehicles in the game, you only take it out when your going to a situation but when you do it can help with the combat plan very well. It has very thick armor and it is heavy. It can easily smash a car into a wall preventing it from moving is some gunmen are trying to flea. And it's armor makes it good to move men up while under fire/if you could come under fire. It is your shield, use it like one and you may survive longer in some situations.
A good example of when to use it is when you are moving into the MTL and there are gunmen all around. Use it to get into the facility safely.

And the police radio: Probably one of your most valuable tools is this. You should have read the police guide before this, if not you should as there is more info on the radio and usage there. But as a SWAT the only real reason to use it is to find out where you need to go, and give a sit-rep after the raid is over. You could call for backup but chances are by the time you do so it may be too late.

To use the radio type /radio and your message. If you want to use your microphone press T and a little radio should appear in the top left hand corner of your screen. Then use your regular talk button. Then when you are done, press T again so that if you are talking to someone next to you others around the entire city will not hear it. Not doing so may cause problems for people with other emergencies.

Keep in mind now that you are only to leave the Nexus on a call. Don't be going on a patrol, you go to a certain place only because you are called in my a superior/dispatcher/a 911 call said something serious was going on.
Also remember to use teamwork. It can be fatal without it, people need to work together for a successful raid. You can do it, and if there are people who refuse to do it, ask the chief to demote them. They are a hazard to the task and that is a reason to do so.

Another thing to keep it mind is this is a passive role playing job when not doing anything. If you cannot play passive for a period of time this isn't for you. After a situation is over just role play and talk with people. If you get bored, just quit. Its an option you always have. And remember, police probably get more action than SWAT ever do. Because police are always with SWAT in raids so they get the same action but they still get to go around the city, patrol, chase people and just do a lot more. So please, if passive isn't your thing simply do not become SWAT. Or after the need is over quit and become a cop again or do whatever.

Also Lone Wanderer wanted me to add this. On the field, the Chief is your commanding officer. Mayor and Dispatcher may help you to get into a situation but when you are there you need to listen to your chief, as they may be trying to make a plan/keep it clean as they should. And you should too be trying to keep it clean.

Suggestions / /a Stuck/Respawn
« on: May 12, 2013, 10:34:23 PM »
I wanted to suggest a simple idea, easy to code (Experience) to help people who get stuck. It happens all the time and people just say "/a Help I am stuck." An administrator comes (Sometimes) and helps them and they go on their way. But after doing that for a while I would imagine that it is frustrating after a while.

So why not make it so that when you type either /a Stuck or /a Respawn it doesn't necessarily go to the administrators but it shows a hint that says in ten seconds or twenty or whatever you will be respawned. Maybe 15 at least because if someone does that then they may want to holster their stuff if they haven't and some weapons take ten seconds to do (ARs and Shotguns).

Very simple and basic yet useful. If there are unresponsive/no administrators available it would be helpful to them, and to administrators who simply don't want to deal with a "/a Help I am stuck!" all the time.

Also during the 10-20 second period that you wait, you cannot move (You can turn, although I don't think it counts as moving anyway) or do any kind of action. If you do, it is canceled. And that is how you can cancel it if something happens. But the main reason is for people evading RP. I would imagine this would be used by people trying to escape situations.

But even that timer isn't enough to stop some people, so just as a little extra so people know that the person they are interacting with is respawning is to have a Red text above their head saying,"Respawning in ##."

One last thing to add, people in prison shouldn't be able to use /a Stuck /a Respawn.

So that is my idea, very simple and it would be a useful tool for pretty much everyone.

Post if you agree/disagree. Not sure what reasons there are to not have it so please post them.

Suggestions / Rule suggestion, for Admin sake
« on: May 07, 2013, 02:16:54 PM »
For a little while now I have been annoyed and wanted a rule to prevent people from disrespecting administrators and treating them like objects, not people. After hearing another admin tell me why he quit his job as an administrator because of the disrespect he gets I wanted to make this post.

Keep in mind:
- Being an administrator on here is not a paying job or anything, it is people basically volunteering. They are using their time to stop playing the game they love to help out people with situations.
- This rule is not based on favoritism/how much you like/dislike someone.
- This doesn't make them elite, it makes them human giving them a choice, it is a job they are doing for people as favors. Like I said above, they are volunteering to do this. An administrator, Owen I believe, told me that it would make them be "elite" but this rule has no real punishment like a kick/ban. Therefore it doesn't make them above anyone, just human like I said before.
- This would apply for all Catalyst-Gaming servers

Many times you may see people yelling at admins during a situation or on the OOC chat. Now would you like someone to be doing this while you are trying to help them? Of course not. So my rule proposal is not really meant for punishment, no kicks, no bans. The rule would be that if you show an administrator disrespect they may ignore/disregard your call, if they want to BECAUSE there was disrespect show to them. If someone who is accusing someone of breaking a rule starts yelling at them or even the person being accused does the administrator may take whatever action they please. They may ignore either party. The rule, again, has no punishments other than being ignored.

Honestly I am tired of the disrespect I see and after some administrators LEFT because of it, I think it is time for something like this to be done, for Admin sake. THEY ARE DOING US A FAVOR and some people treat them like the scum on the bottom of their shoes.

Kronic: I understand that you are currently "cracking down" on admins not responding to calls. Of course if there is a "/a ADMIN GET THE FUCK OVER HERE" you would understand that they would be breaking this rule. However if there is a reason something wasn't resolved all that would need to be done is ask a question why. So this wouldn't really be much of an issue.

Suggestion to how it could be written:
An administrator being shown disrespect may disregard/ignore a person/party.
Or maybe:
Disrespect towards an administrator will result in being ignored/they have the choice to not listen to you/your party.

They deserve better, please support to help ease their jobs.

EDIT: Lone Wanderer was the one who quit because of the disrespect administrators get.

EDIT:
Update 5/13/13
Well now....Just been on the server for a while. I asked for an administrator, one about every five minutes like it says to do, because I was arrested without having my rights read. And, as we all know, if it isn't then the person being arrested has the right to walk. I was arrested for 300 seconds. So once I was arrested I sent my first request, nice and polite, getting to the point. Another five minutes goes by, ok, maybe they didn't see or they were in another situation. Another five minutes, I ask again. Whatever their situation was they should have been done and I should be getting a reply now. Another five, possible they are AFK oh ohh wait. Quarantine is building his mayor's office. Another five minutes still no response, I meet Vizion in the suburbs just chatting with friends in game and on Skype. Finally after another request I get a reply from Quarantine.

I may have added an extra five in there but the main point stands. It took thirty minutes to get a response. There were 3 administrators, Vizion, Quarantine and Drysky(Not sure). None replied. After Drysky(If that's his name) left Fearless came on. But he had no logs so he didn't do anything wrong really.
Quarantine said that there were more serious situations at hand...there were not, or when they were over he decided to disregard all previous /a s' sent in. Vizion claims to have been AFK for 15 minutes, or it may have been slightly true as he wasn't talking on Skype for 5-10. What about the other 15? I sent one every five minutes, so hows it possible he didn't see? And excuses? None. As for Drysky I don't know what he was doing.

Kronic...
You should know that I treat administrators with respect at first. But when it takes a half hour to get a response from one of three administrators it is ridiculous. Now if they don't want to administrate, why are they administrators? You, and others, have already demoted some to gold member/OCRP admin and other things. Doing so you say it is removing those who do not reply. Well....here I give you two.

As for respect I have lost it for Quarantine. Just an hour earlier I liked him, thought Quarantine was good at his job, I congratulated him when he was promoted to SA not too long ago. But now, it is all gone, maybe not him as a person but as an administrator he means nothing to me.

Now of course with this rule I cannot display this disrespect if I want something from them, I understand that then I would not be able to reply on them.

Update: Vizion provided a good reason in a post on the second page as to why he didn't get to reply. Said he was afk about about 18 minutes and then he was talking with his mother in real life. That seems fair, however due to the timeframe I still feel the same way. But maybe that is not a reason to have anything done to him. So Vizion, sorry for bringing you into this. Maybe in time my respect for you as an admin will regrow. Again, sorry.

I was looking at a suggestion which was to make the dodge's driving better. Now knowing that the styles of driving can be changed I want to propose this idea.

Now you are either a person who likes cars which can drift, have good tracking and make turns nicely without skidding or you like vehicles like trucks. However this idea doesn't include the truck style.

My idea is in the F4 there is the option to change the display, two options to make things look differently where you money, time and all that stuff is. There would be another option in there for driving. You can pick two presets where one will make your vehicles drift or just have good traction.

Now as I type this I am thinking about how the hell you could do this. So another idea is to instead of what I said above make it something you buy. When you get a vehicle by default, because most people cannot drift, it would have good traction and wouldn't drift as much. At the upgrade guy there would be an option to change your Wheels or something. One would be racing wheels (drifting) the other off-roading (traction) or something like that.

How would this benefit? First off there would be less people driving around in their new cars running into stuff and skidding out. It would offer more things you can do to your car. And it would let people drive the way they want to, we know cars aren't 'drifters' in real life unless you know how to use the hand break but in the game some just naturally are.

After what OzJackal said I agree that this is not a priority as there are other issues/things to be added right now.
PLEASE close this thread and deny it. Thank you ;D

What happened when the bug occurred? I have had this happen to me since I was a level 2. Basically when I am knocked unconscious I lose my shotgun and level 3 pistol. I basically become a level one officer with the level 1 pistol.

What was supposed to happen? I should have a level 3 pistol and a shotgun when I wake up.

Picture/Console Errors: None, but if you need I can make a video when I get knocked out some time.

Fixed Bugs / Police Shotgun after being killed.
« on: May 05, 2013, 09:28:49 PM »
What happened with this bug?:So I know it was supposedly "fixed" in the last update but I just found out that it wasn't.
I was the police chief, I bought a shotgun to use myself because of another bug which I am posting right after this one.
When I was killed in a raid I went about my business as a citizen and later found out that in my inventory was a police shotgun. Immediately after that I told Kronic and he was like "wtf...."
So yea, this buy still exists.

Also when I tried to drop it, it just disappeared. There was no way to equip it either.

What was supposed to happen? I was not supposed to keep the shotgun.

Pictures/proof of it: I do not have any images of it, I wish I had but at the time I didn't think of it.

Suggestions / Dodge for level 4-5 Police, and leveling.
« on: May 02, 2013, 04:30:59 PM »
I was inspired by this idea when another person made a thread called "OCRP Police car idea."

Dodge for level 4-5 Police: When you are a level one, two and three officer you are stuck with the Vapid unless you are a gold member. But what if at level 4 or 5+ the dodge became available? There aren't many perks to leveling up besides the SMG which is at a high level and the shotgun at level 3. So this would offer more to those of a higher level.

Leveling: Almost all of the time I have had on the server has been as a police officer, because it is so fun. Although that will change because I am in an organization now. Anyway, leveling seems to be ridiculous. It takes three days game time as an officer to become level three and get your FIRST perk, the shotgun. So you are wasting 72 hours of your life just trying to get there. And then, if you are demoted by the mayor you are level one again. And even if you are innocent and it was a rogue mayor you are level one. I have been told you can report it and maybe you can be helped but what if that doesn't happen? And it will be that way for some people. So I suggest two things that could be done:

1) When you are demoted as an officer you are put down one level, and when you are a 'hint' or message pops up to administrators on the server that Person A demoted Person B. And the time to go up a level shouldn't be every 24 hours, it should be a multiplier. Level 1-2 should take six hours, 2-3 should take another 12 hours and 3-4 24 and so on, however not really much more than 48 because then its just way too high.

2) You get demoted as an officer and you are still put down to level one and a message still pops up for administrators on the server. But the time to level up should not be long at all. Lets say every 4-6 hours as an officer you level up. And this would save people time and make being demoted not as much of a big deal.

I haven't been demoted yet but if I ever do I see no point in becoming a cop again if it takes 24 hours to go up just one level, and I am positive that others agree with me, especially if it was by some rogue mayor when no administrators were in game or available.

EDIT: I have just been told that demoting doesn't put you down a level so just ignore those parts, however less time I am still in favor of and I do agree that it should be time as a cop not on the server.
