Alright so I think most people will agree when I say C45 is getting rather dull. Oz and the other mappers have made a couple of nice additions - but it still remains C45. Until C38 is complete we were thinking of having a map change, but want to hear what map the community wants in that case. The topic is locked because if I don't, it'll turn into a massive shitfest about what map is the best one. I just want a vote, essentially. If you want to voice your opinion, make a thread for it and keep the arguing to a minimal for this.

Consider Statua to be your leader - if you want a suggestion sent up the chain quickly, go to him. He'll take it directly to me and I'll give him a reply.

Consider him the leader of Outlands if you will, but he's not above the other administrators in any way - I just want someone who's more known with Outlands to run it in my place

Hey. There are going to be some changes made to the server, most of them are unconfirmed but I can list the following anyways...

  • Cybering is allowed as long as you're not doing it in public (as in the plaza for example)
  • Rogue units will be allowed (to some extent, if you're going rogue I'd like to be notified at the very least and it will also be highly discouraged ICly)
  • Weapons ban in plaza is being lifted. If you fuck up, I'll add the ban back again
  • Resistance will continue to be entirely player-controlled, no admin intervention unless you are getting out of hand in some strange way
  • Operator is no longer a rank in the administration but rather a punishment of sorts for administrators who screw up (roster is outdated, will be fixed)
  • POSSIBLE administration run blackmarket ring (we won't be selling goods to consumers, but we'll be controlling it)
  • Civil Administration will be a bit more independent of the Union with their new Embassy in the new C45 map

That's most of the changes I have so far. I'd like input from all of you and/or more suggestions. You can PM me about it if you are not comfortable discussing it in public.

For any concerns regarding my activity, I'll quote from my thread in the administration forum:
"First, for anyone who is concerned regarding my activity - that's perfectly understandable. If I do go inactive or for some reason lose motivation, I'll just inform RoflWaffle and he can find a suitable replacement."

Half-Life Two Roleplay Update

Right, then. I'm not going to bother with a really long post for this - I do however have to mention a few things. This update is being pushed out early because of the bugs we encountered with last GMod update. Everything is subject to change - if you find bugs, report them here or send me a PM with them.

The changes include but are not limited to:
* Removed the wrench icon from chat
* Fixed door and surface text
* Hid ZEALOT from the scoreboard
* Changed some minor strings
* Started some derma changes (NOT FINAL)
* Removed pistol and ammunition from default unit loadout
* Reverted the SeC model change
* Removed the following voices
   - CCA
       - "GRID Sundown 4-6."
       - "You are judged guilty by civil protection team!"
       - "10-103M Disturbance by mentally unfit."
       - "Investigate and Report!"
       - "Flush."
       - "Fist."
       - "All units, BOL, we have 34 hits at"
       - "Yellow."
       - "Waste River."
       - "Lookin' for trouble?"
       - "Ice."
       - all of the numbers, they just abused anyway
       - "Hammer."
       - "Reminder: memory replacement is the first step to rank privleges."
       - "Destroy that cover!
       - "Break his cover!."
   - Citizen
       - "Sometimes, I dream about cheese."
       - "Uhh, I can eat a horse, hoves and all."

* Added alternative command for CharPhysDesc, Title
* Changed the disconnect message

There are still a few bugs - such as the Unit overlay not working, and the 'fancy' scrolling text. Animations seem a bit bugged too - but sort of wanted to rush this update out for now. Most of the changes are cosmetic, and we were planning on changing more stuff before we pushed this out but...

Yes, I know this is mostly minor edits, but as I mentioned earlier: it was pushed out too early. Any bugs will be adressed as soon as possible.

Yes, there's a lot of downtime. Get mad. We're working on changing web servers, but the PHP took a major shit. We're working it out. If there's more downtime, I'll try to put a message out on the site to warn you and say why it's down.
