https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zEvQTQLM_Qlq7hQ1B2OcwB9PZTs93P-8OFiIygu1Ilw/edit?hl=en_USThat's the website where you'll find my fictional piece, just uploaded it today since it'd be kinda hard to use the page thing I already had on the document and had to change for the sake that it was 1) in a different font 2) wasn't double spaced and 3) I was too lazy to count all the lines as I'm sure the rest of the community would be if I just made it as one long ass post. So go ahead and enjoy for your reading pleasure. Also, here's the google docs link that I just put up for the poetry I have not given out yet to the community so I think you guys may prefer some of my limericks or my pantoum "Snowday". One of my friends (a chick, but not a girlfriend, I unfortunately have never gone out on a date ) said it took a certain spin on such an innocent game and drove it a little into the worst case scenario. Oh that's right, I was going to put up a picture of the copy I got back from my teacher; I'll put that up later. Anyways, the Poetry link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Parzkiyt0u6jV7MYW8GjBxOAOA3v7OeIpP-zKFY7LBM/edit(please note that only those that use the link above will be able to access the document for the poetry, thank you) EDIT: Just saw the share settings on my fictional piece, sorry guys XD changed it to anyone with the link can view it but those that sent me an e-mail through it I have changed so that you guys can view it. Sorry for all the trouble.

Hey there people that read this topic. As some of you may not have known I have been developing an app for iPhone/iPod for the advanced programming class that I've been taking and I think I may have done pretty well for my first app. Here's a picture of it along with the SDK used to create the app (yes, I know it's on a mac, get over it; it works after all): http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=147fwm&s=5 . It's taken me about 5 days of school work to pull it off since I'm fairly new to programming in lua but I've tested all the buttons and they do work. The resume however will only work if you used the pause button. Also note in the picture that all the buttons used were of my own creation, the banner picture however was not of my own creation, but rather a resizing through photoshop to make it fit across the screen. There's a poll up for you to leave anonymous comments if you so choose, however, if you don't want to be anonymous then go ahead and post. Thanks for allowing me to take a moment of your time. EDIT: Sorry guys, did a little more revising on the app, it's still kickass, but I made the glare effect of the button less so that people have a better chance of being able to "read" the song titles (at least to the best of my ability to put them on a 77 x 37 size picture which doesn't use all of the size) so I'll keep the link up with the first version and have the revised copy up here: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=1z4ki06&s=5 . I hope that it's possible to get it up on the app store, not sure but considering I've been doing this on a trial version of Corona SDK I'd say I've done pretty well for only just starting to learn a little bit of lua. Thanks for the support for the guys that went with option 2 - 4 on the vote and those that gave their positive opinion about the app. Also Noah, I mainly did this because a sound/music board app is one of the easier things to start out with and the fact that it's basically my final in Advanced Programming, yes I do get a grade for doing this stuff in school even though it's not a registered class you still can have it count as a half math credit which means I'll graduate with 5 credits in math EDIT 2: almost forgot, the next step in my app, after seeing if I can test it on my iPod or soon to have iPhone 4S, is to make the app thumbnail to be the album cover.

Here's a little poetry I came up with today. Hopefully it might come in use for some of you guys in an English class or something. Please note that the sonnets DON'T follow the rules and most of the haiku's don't follow the traditional form, anyways. Here goes the poetry, the only thing I'm good at in the English Curriculum:
Forced Papers
Forcibly written, Making students sad, upset, Writing blank faces.
An Excuse
When writing a paper, It is frowned upon. It really is bitter, When it was due anon. Playing Donkey Kong, People have fun. Others played Pong, They're all done. The time has passed, The family is glad. It was half-assed, The student is sad. The paper is written, The dog has bitten.
A Grand Piano
It was Ebony, It always has Ivory, The piano keys.
Magic Trick
It really is tragic, The crowd in awe. Might it be magic, What they all saw. The cops are abound, There weren't any ducks. Everyone went all around, It was only bucks. Filed missing were all, The thing was black. Only was a ball, Guy was a quack. The bank was robbed, The bodies have bobbed.
The Passing of Time
A plum blossom fell, The tree limbs creek for the time, Fall has arrived.
Who?
A smooth blue box, A witty, tall, mystery, The doctor stands.
Banjo and Kazooie
A bear and bird fly, Red bird, brown bear, blue back-pack, Grunty is angry.
Stone Demons
Calm and collective, Cold and motionless, they come, The Weeping Angels.
Winter
White and fluffy, Soft and cold to you, The snow glistens now.

To JiggerFrizz, I was about to make this course when I found you had just renounced your membership to CG. This is a tribute to you and only you. Please note this topic will be locked as it is only for memory of JiggerFrizz when he was a member of this great community and is free to view. JiggerFrizz will have seen this video as I'll have sent him the link to it via Skype or Steam. So without further ado, the tribute to JiggerFrizz:

This is only meant for people that like to Passive RP and make race courses, but if you want to get started on making a fun yet hard atv course for passive RP on OCRP at MTL HQ, then this is the kind of course you should try to make. Just click on the link to look at my screenshots on the steam cloud and these are what I took when messing around to have fun, the course will be difficult if 8 ATV's try to clusterfuck the ramp up though. XD http://steamcommunity.com/id/AcornMan/screenshots/hope you guys like the course.

Hey there people, I came across a great discovery for me, MAME32 is available for Mac!!! (stop making fun of me just cause I'm a mac user, I get stuff done a LOT faster on this than on my Toshiba and other reasons) I currently have only Gauntlet II working on it cause all the other games I have the zip files for don't have ALL the necessary files in it to run. Oh well, but yeah, MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator (emulators are things that let you play games on platforms they shouldn't be on i.e. PC) and take ROMs to work. Hope this makes you guys see the past of Video Games and try some, but yeah, just look up MAME32 in google or something to find a download for it (the PC type you're using). Get an appreciation for the classics!!!

Hey I just realized that the admin apps got removed about 5 hours ago or so, and I just wanted to make a post about how disappointing this is to me seeing as how I was "admin shadowing" before making an admin application. If admins would post on this about how to become admin, or get yourself sited as a likely candidate, I would appreciate it. I guess for now the only way to get sited for becoming an admin right now is to RP well, help people out, and help an admin from time to time (IF they ask for it) I guess for now though if you do get sited they might tell RoflWaffle or something, I don't really know the specifics. But yeah, I just want to be sure about the admin thing since the applications are no longer in effect if it's just hand picking people by admins to be admins or if all admin positions are closed.

For those of you who have found this gamemode to be fun on previous computers or heard about it from friends and just got Gmod on a Mac and have no clue what to do to put in addons, allow me to help you out. 1st: open up finder. 2nd: go to Library. 3rd: click into Application Support. 4th: go to Steam. 5th: click on SteamApps. 6th: click on the very top folder in the SteamApps category (should be your steam name or steam login name). 7th: click on garrysmod (doing it this way since this is for Gmod). 8th: click on garrysmod in the garrysmod folder. 9th: click on addons. There you have it, so it should look something like this: Library>Application Support>Steam>SteamApps>(steam name)>garrysmod>garrysmod>addons. If what you're looking for isn't going into addons, just hit back and put the file into the proper folder, like the .bsp file for a map (say RP_evocity_v2d or rp_evocity_v33x for example) would just go into the maps folder as ALL .bsp files should. (I know about .bsp files since I have made maps before on Source SDK as a fun pass time before hand). Hope this helps all you Mac users. (P.S. .exe files will NOT run on Mac since it's screwy like that. So no radio use on OCRP but does help since you don't have to deal with radio spam on the gamemode). Please don't make fun of people using macs PC/laptop users that aren't Apple brand since we don't have to deal with radio spam . I found this out on a Youtube video and thought it'd be good to make this just in case of new members that don't know anything on their Mac's. Here's the video if you don't like flipping between windows/programs:( just skip to the time of 1:22 to hear the path of what to do to get to the addons folder for gmod.) This is just to help out those in need. No comments needed.

Well, I thought I should probably do this since some of you might not know me. My name is AcornMan; for those of you whom are familiar with me and I'm with you, you may call me Acorn. By doing this, I hope that some of you might get to know me and find out what kind of person I am. My gaming experience dates back to 1998 with games by Nintendo (namely GameBoy Color and Nintendo64), I later on got on the computer and played an emulator called MAME32 (which I still continue to play since there are many old fun games on it), I got a GameBoy Advance and played on it and still do, I obtained a Nintendo GameCube which I still own and play many of it's fun games, I then got a Wii (before thinking it wasn't all that great but only to find out that it is in fact very fun), I got my first laptop computer soon after, I then got a Dreamcast (old game system) for the history of it and to have one, and I now own an Xbox360 (not slim) and have Xbox Live (my xbox live gamername is the same as that of my Minecraft name). The games I own for PC include: Minecraft, TF2, HL2, HL, HL2E1, HL2E2, Portal, CSS, ZPS (HL2 mod), HL2DM, Feeding Frenzy, and Chess. My academic view point is that I can learn everything I can without school, it's not that I'm lazy or think I'm too cool for school, but that I'm just that smart (I found Trigonometry to be fun). I get good grades and I'm in the top 20% of my class currently. My favorite band is Daft Punk, I do listen to a little Eminem, Ke$ha, Ozzy, and a lot of Classic Rock. Please note and do NOT COMMENT on stuff like "Is this guy serious? This isn't a fucking dating profile or website" because this is an introductions page after all. I prefer to leave religion, politics, and sexual preferences in the category of Taboo, but I am straight. Recently I have been converted into a Brony and I'm proud to say it. (Please note that qqing about bronies, furries, and other criters might get an admin on here and say something like "The next person to flame about this is getting a forum ban"). I have played OCRP since after the first 3 months of it's release. Before hand I had played mainly DarkRP, spacebuild, and one forgotten gamemode on Gmod that I don't remember the name of, but did require a stargate addon for Gmod to see the stargate where you would mine rocks to get money and can fight aliens/humans. When I wasn't playing Gmod, I was playing ZPS or was on the Wii/DS (Yes, I know, I forgot to put in about getting a DS but I find it unnecessary since I have now remembered and have now told you so don't go "Oh, he didn't go and put that back in, that lazy bastard" P.S. I am lazy so you know but I'm loyal to what I go through). I've never been banned under the current management of OCRP but was once because I did have to leave when I was killed/being looted and returned about 3 hours later to see I had a ban which I find ridiculous because I do have a life and shouldn't be punished for it (it's obvious when someone does say "I gtg, my mom's calling me and you find the person back on after he/she disconnected and reconnected within 2-4 minutes of being raided/mugged/killed/looted (I do try to tell my folks that I'm in the middle of something and if they can wait a little while longer)). So yes, I do try to RP to the best of my ability, I have yet to do anything wrong (in my life or in games). I try to be as helpful as I can and try to have fun and make things fun for other people (like making that atv race event I do on OCRP). When I'm not on any electronics or with family, I'm either a) having a social life, b) reading a good book, or c) sleeping/eating. I do have other communication for people, I have Skype, I have Teamviewer (not giving out contact info and those with that contact info, do NOT reveal it), and I have 3 e-mail accounts, I also have Facebook but those of you who don't know me that well are not going to know what to look for on the website, and I obviously have steam for people to contact me on, but I am restricting who goes on my friends for that now. This is kinda a long introduction and mainly shows my personal life. I haven't really read these so I don't know what I'm really supposed to do, either making a game introduction or real life introduction, heh *makes fist and bonks head while sticking tongue out*. If you do in fact comment on this, then please make it lengthy as making very short comments like "Oh, cool, nice to meet you." should not count for a forum post, just my opinion. But yeah, that's me, AcornMan. It's almost 00:00 where i am after typing all of this, but it was worth it to make myself known to all. (If posting on this then please make it at least a minimum of 50 words and not just spamming the same thing over and over as that would be considered to be moved into spam or on the grounds of needing to be removed). Edit: this is modified as I forgot what I was going to do earlier and remembered, in my past year or 2 of playing ZPS, I have in fact made frequent use of Source SDK but since I no longer play ZPS my days in Source SDK have been slim to none. Those that have played on certain servers that were hosted by Icebox3d would have possibly seen some of the custom maps I made for the server as I was also the co-owner of the server (never payed a cent though since I knew him in my first days of ZPS). I have also played on what was the once popular Gmod Tower gamemode and have stopped ever since playing OCRP. But yeah, for those of you who code, I have no clue what the hell you're doing so keep me out of it ( ), and those of you who map and have trouble, just fiddle around with things and test it out by yourself (if it's something like ZPS I'd suggest going to console and typing sv_testmode 1) to try it out yourself as this has helped me immensely in the past.
