I thought GMR was a great gamemode, but one of the major issues I had with it was how if somebody donated a bunch or grinded and basically had the best stuff in the game, it made it unfun for myself and everyone else who weren't very "leveled". While I do think that people that spent all that time/money should have better cars, the difference between and new player and a P2W/Grinder was simply to large. I agree. I am sure that someone could come up with a way to make that better, like let new people start with decent cars so the grind isn't that long, reduce P2W, etc. Same for every other gamemode that was flawed in one way or another and eventually died out, the question is just if anyone even wants to bother anymore. We've tried many times before to launch all kinds of servers; nothing worked out in the long run (not counting RP). While I'd love to have other servers with good pop, like GMR or something, I just don't see it happening. How long did GMR last last time we had it running? A few months?

..I guess if people /really/ want to try again with "fixes" to make it more appealing for new people it would be possible.. I just don't think a lot of people here have much hope for anything anymore tbh

You could also get an i5 instead of an i7 if you want to. Unless you're doing really cpu-intensive work (like, not gaming), there really is no point in paying extra for an i7 when the main difference is hyper-threading. A high-end i5 can handle regular things like gaming just as well, just make sure you still get a high clock & four cores.

I can recommend the i5-4670k.

and no you can do with 1TB if you're half-decent at cleaning your pc every now and then. I've used this 1TB disk for quite a few years now and I still have 200GB left, and I don't think I've ever really cleaned up thoroughly. Unless you do do a lot of recording or something, but if not..

It's a good idea and /could/ work, but it would take a lot of time and the rules would have to be very careful. You really, really think the average HRP player could listen to the rules of HL2RP? I remember they would always cry in the shoutbox "WHATS THE ANSWERS TO THE JOIN QUESTIONS"

Those were the good old days lol, but back to the topic I think if they actually wanted to try the game mode they could learn. Think about a map the size of gm_flatland, that's what I was thinking size wise and the factions would be in the four different corners. However that's if statua is good enough 

that kinda shows that the HRP playerbase could very likely not keep up to any more advanced rules..

Sure, there are some that could, and you could always try, but it would most likely not end up very well.

Seems like an interesting idea anyhow.
