IC Character Name: Eli Golenberg
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.Eli wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority because he has an extreme hate for Anti-Citizen. The reasons that lead him to join the CCA were these three; honor, justice, and civility. For, without these three virtues, peace and harmony will never be obtained to their full extent. In these few short paragraphs; Eli will inform you about how he intends to keep these three virtues in perfect balance.
Honor plays a large role in the CCA. Eli notices that Civil Protection officers never pick a fight. The officer will always wait for criminal activity to come their way.
Justice is an important role in the CCA. Never has Eli seen any CP officers act without reason to. He has stayed loyal to the CCA and reported crimes to them. The officers have acted with only the required force. Criminals always see justice in the end. If he is allowed to join the CCA, Eli promises to maintain this level of justice and enforce the law where it is needed.
Civility is the final virtue. Everywhere He looks, He sees trash on the ground, citizens taking contraband and even sexual transactions. If you let him join the CCA, no matter what the cost to himself, he will keep this city civil.'
If accepted into the CCA, Eli understands that it is important to maintain the above virtues. These three virtues of the CCA are what separate them from the anti-citizens.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)Eli believes his integrity is the most important trait he can bring to the CCA. He believes that doing the right thing will always be the right answer. Eli believes in the law, it provides him with direction when he is unable to make an easy choice.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.My character and I think don’t think this will be a “Relaxed” job. We will have to work hard to learn the codes and training to be a reliable officer. The different type of personality and RP will be hard to adjust to, but my character and I are ready for anything. Eli fears that he will not be enough to please the DvLs and higher ranks. However, he is determined to try and become the perfect Civil Protection officer there is. We expect this will be fun, to join the Civil Authority and to experience a new type of RP for me and my character.
Eli is worried about who he can trust in the CCA. He doesn’t think this will be easy and knows that there will be hardships. Eli is concerned with who he can turn to for help and who will welcome him. He isn’t in it for the rewards. He worries of Anti-citizen activity and “disturbed” citizens and how they will harm the Union. The road ahead seems dark and long, but he is determined to get past it.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.Eli Golenberg grew up in a good neighborhood. He behaved and performed well in his classes. After high school he studied pre-med and then went to med school. He was the best in his class and felt proud of his accomplishments. During his training, his mother, father and sister came to see him from downstate. They were all traveling to meet him for dinner when a fellow student pulled out of the parking lot, slamming into his families SUV. There were no survivors.
Eli resumed his training after a period of intense mourning. Eli was informed that a new program had begun. The program would allow the faculty to see how well the students could withstand blood and the inside of a human. This was important because Eli had intentions of becoming a trauma surgeon. As soon as Eli saw the amount of human blood and gore, he hit the floor. When Eli regained consciousness, he immediately quit his training.
Eli went into a small depression. He recovered by finding a new hobby and a way to help people. His new hobby was going to the firing range. Eli loved shooting targets with mostly side arms and assault rifles. He became a volunteer at a local homeless shelter.
Eli’s new found happiness was cut short after being mugged and assaulted. He suffered a severe concussion, resulting in complete amnesia. He no longer mourned his dead family. To him they simply never existed. His only sense of loyalty was to the innocent and higher authorities. He had now an extreme hate for any troublemakers or illegal activity.
After Eli’s recovery, he still loved to shoot guns at the firing range. He had no problems with money due to the life insurance from his family. His new interest was science and modern styles of fighting. He used these skills for helping the innocent and getting rid of all crime.
The Portal Storms have begun, Eli’s was captured and he made no attempt to escape, He really didn't know what was happening. He was put on a train and told to shut up. He was sent to City 45. He quickly became a loyalist, reporting all crimes. He obeyed all of the laws and never said no to the Combine. He quickly made friends with other Loyalist and continued to report crimes with his new friends.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?Well probably my most memorable RP experience is when me and my two friends Corvo and Samuel were looking around to report crimes. We came across a man who killed his partner in the UCH we called Civil Protection and they came, When they arrived almost five came. The guy wounded almost each and every officer, it was amazing how three people called in a crime by one man and a huge thing happened. It took near to thirty minutes to take the man out and once that was over, almost everyone was badly injured. And it’s one of the best things that have happened for me in HL2 Serious RP

I will, if it is not being manned, ensure that access to D6 is limited. I will search each citizen who wishes to gain access and detain them if contraband is found. I will follow orders and listen to my superiors. I will not question the rationale of these orders, knowing they are in the best interests of all. I will do my best to keep civil status intact. I will make sure citizens follow the law and I will strictly enforce it. I will patrol the streets diligently. I aim to reduce anti citizen activity by doing this. I will ensure that running, even if it is for a few steps, will not be tolerated and will "re-educate" any citizens in violation.
