General Discussion / Hello!
« on: September 18, 2013, 08:08:20 PM »
Been away for quite some time.
After HL2RP fell through, I went back to playing SWtOR more often and haven't given this forum a second's glance.
But I miss you lot.
Got a good job, moving out to go to Bowling Green State University before long.
How's everyone been?

This was totally supposed to be in Social.

The bandanna I can see being looked over, but a hat's bill could be seen pretty easily, even within a suitcase. Although I literally have NO problem with the hat, I just personally don't think a unit would look over it. However, that's just MY opinion.
So, I can support the bandanna, as well as the weapon as long as you detail the measurements of it's retracted and extended forms. As well as it's durability, since a rusted pipe would break after a certain amount of times in use. Especially if your character had trouble extending it in the first place.
If you play with the way you got the hat, I can support that as well.
So, in so few words;
As long as what I requested is done, +support for the bandanna and weapon from me.

Also, since I'm not sure about the validity of it, although I assume a colder climate would warrant a coat for colder climates..I'll leave that up to Admin discretion. Since personally I'd think City 17's units would take it since it isn't immensely cold there. But if the Administration Team thinks it sounds alright, I can give my support for that as well!

In lieu of repeating what they already said, I'll just agree. I'll give my support.

I have a few problems with this application.
1) Why would the CCA unit have carelessly over-looked the hat and bandanna? Neither are Universal Union approved.
2)I'd like you to detail the measurements of the 'rod'. Saying 'easy to conceal' makes it sound like you can hide it anywhere you want.
3) Regarding the Black Coat. Part of the regular citizen load-out is a dark coloured nylon jacket. Is that what you mean? If not, how did the citizen get on the train without a unit removing it from his person?

I'll give an answer regarding my support or lack there of when OP responds.

I have anger issues and I almost killed her once.

I honestly don't even know what the say. Please for the love of your dog, give it back to the dog center.

Man, what the actual fuck :c

This. Animal Abuse is a serious issue. Go beat an orphan or something, not the dog.

Poor puppy.

I've RPed with Red in and out if the Medbay countless times, so I can vouch for RP skeelz. Regarding the story, it was well written and I enjoyed reading it. Not any immediately recognisable holes or grammatical oopsies.
Plus it'll be refreshing to have a new face in the Anti-Citizen game.
+ soup art from me.

I can pls 2 have verdict?
This has been up for roughly a week, but now it's no longer being posted on.
Itching to get this started off.

I can attest to the length they've been working on the machine. I was present in the beginning of its conception ICly.
The app was a good read.
The format is visually pleasing.
+support and I look forward to seeing it in-game!

12
It'd be silly for me to point out errors that have already been stated above.
For those reasons, I don't support this either. The application itself seemed rushed as well.
-soup art from me. Sorry, mate.

13
Does it even need to be said?
Oz is the best RPer in the community.
The story was a good read, everything was explained, not a single error.
Useless from me, but +soup art

14
Read through it and it's more visually pleasing. Most of the errors have been fixed.
+support from me.

I may have worded it incorrectly somewhere along the line. The characters I have set up for this batch are based around the premise that Dark Chapel needs specialists in order to be successful. Teir personalities are up to them. I would like for Tim and Tom to be comical, but it isn't required. Someone made the point earlier that this halts character development. Which is why I added the part that John and Tennise let the Raid happen without warning everyone. This development would force the characters to deal with a contreversy (while not breaking DC up) that would throw off the character's personality to some degree, giving each player elbow room to fit each character to their choosing. There will be room for character development because each player gets to make their own backstory to WHATEVER specifications they desire (within reason of course). Meaning that character development is still possible since all I set up was how they acquired their equipment and their auths in DCSABasically each story in te with app is just Character Introduction.
I hope this explains my reasoning to some degree, as I've worked with this way of debuting DCSA for a hair under two months.

Oh and to speak to your latest edit, after this batch of specialists is created, I'll allow people to make auths for original characters transferred from other sites.
My whole reason behind setting up a character list is to make sure that this is successful, as I would really like to see OL be more than bandits.

Also, I'd like to say you're making very valid points and its my fault for not elaborating in the first place to make sure my full intentions were understood.

I read through it again and noticed I switched between past and present tense multiple times.
I'm incapable of fixing it currently.
So disregard that hiccup pls yes
