Oh, yeah, I'm a crafter focused primarily on weapons crafting and not props.

No the police force suffered a massive death count after car bombs would be planted on nearly all cars where police or others were near by, I was at the suburbs sorting out a problem that was cause there and someone parked there car near me and walked off for a mere 30 seconds once he entered his car again everyone in the area died but he survived
Car Bombs are ~11.5K each.
That's a lot of money someone would waste or a lot of fun for someone that has a lot to waste.

Also, are you implying there was no one around to plant the bomb on suggested vehicle?
Since you stated someone left their vehicle, walked away and then return back to his vehicle and it exploded?

  • Changed the command when you use team chat to say OOC instead of just Say like normal chat
I honestly think team chat should be something different, perhaps /org or /radio instead of OOC as (by default) the Y and U button are close to each other, and you don't always want to make the mistake of pressing the U button and potentially share information that is not meant to be shared globally through the server.

But that's just my opinion.

Also make it so that car bombs only trigger when the vehicle starts.
As well as add something, perhaps a rule or a filter, that makes people not spam their car engines starting up.

How is it silly?

Look at if from a realistic point of view, they're high-voltage electric shocks designed to cripple people temporarily. They can kill people with heart problems, in real life.

Looks sick, but in general model changes are disliked I think. More download times (even though there already is a huge one)

Better SMS Tone
Recorded straight off the real device and a muffling equalizer added to sound like it's in your pocket.

Spoiler for installation:
Install by putting this file into garrysmod/garrysmod/addons/(your OCRP2 content folder)/sound/cg_ocrp/phone/ringtones
It's supposed to go in: (copy pasta mistake)
garrysmod\garrysmod\addons\ocrp-content-cg\sound\cg_ocrp2

Regardless, I think this thread is really nice and I'm going to try out some of these mods :>

I think Windows 7 works fine, so you could potentially try downgrading if you wish to play it. Windows 8 has issues with more games than just Fallout 3. I'm still using Vista myself :>

  • You can no longer use /org chat if you're not a citizen.
Why was this removed? ;-;

I know that you do not know of your organization IC'ly as a government official but it's still there to talk to your organization in OOC as well, which isn't possible now. For example, when someone in your organization asks if anyone is online and you're a government official you can't even respond - it's pretty stupid to have it be removed entirely.

I suppose it was to prevent a numerous amount of things but there's rules for that, right? Kronic even warned me once for using /org as an officer but I stated to him it was me personally talking to them OOC'ly. I did not mean for it to be taken IC'ly by people that could've heard it, which he (somewhat) said if it was purely OOC it would be okay but obviously I should've used the OOC tags to hint at it being OOC.
Could the /org command for government officials possibly be reconsidered to be put back in the gamemode?

Does it still say you need to get closer to a furnace even when the furnace is a feet next to you?

Denied Suggestions / Unit Codes
« on: April 27, 2013, 05:54:25 AM »
This thread made me consider making the following suggestion.

Below is a short quote from the linked thread above.
[1-01]: Dispatch, Unit 1-01.
[DISP]: Go ahead 1-01

[9-01]: EMS 9-02, 9-01.
[9-02]: Go ahead 9-01.

Since we're attempting to create a more serious roleplaying environment for Orange Cosmos 2. I was wondering if we can't simply make it so that the (priority) Government Officials receive assigned unit identification codes/digits. The use for these digits is displayed in above quote, for example Dispatch should still be Dispatch but a Police Officer should have a randomized number in the slashes: 1-// or the Emergency Medical Services should have a randomized number also in the slashes but then with a nine to make a clear separation on the assigned digits: 9-//.

In my opinion, I think it's silly how Government Officials are supposed to talk to each other by their first and/or last names. It's much more realistic and more immersive if we were to do something with above, now I'm not sure how this should be implemented so I hope some contribution can be done.

Suggestions / Re: OCRP Police car idea...
« on: April 25, 2013, 10:00:48 AM »
If people are interested, I can apply the Cavalcade vehicle script to the police SUV model when it is released and make from-scratch scripts for the sedans if they are required.

Maybe the SUV or Undercover car could be exclusive to the police cheif.
I'm quite 'interested' in above. Pretty vehicle, but it's only because of the looks that I support it really.

I do also think the undercover agents should have the ability to receive a standard kind of vehicle that can be said to have 'bulletproof' glass to protect the mayor. Not sure why the standard vehicle for the secret service was removed as it was in the changelog originally.
