Metro RP please. The one I used to play at with a few old CG fags (Jonco, Mooch, Slade, Airborne etc.) was amazing. The economy and tight knit feeling you get from the dwellers, rangers and stalkers just worked really well. One thing I would suggest 10 times over is to add hunger and thirst, because it was one of those rare occasions in which it actually helps.

For real though this map was going to be so nice and operation pirate yar har too.

It's extremely simple. Admins or High Command figure it out, we did this when the server was last up with these.

Cyrus Wesley Anderson's Metropolice Force Application

IC Character Name: Cyrus Wesley Anderson

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Metropolice Force and what lead your character to do so.
Cyrus, in terms of his abilities and aspirations, were essentially put on hold like most other people his age. Due to the 7-hour war, he was never able to attend any form higher education past High School, and has the desire to take advantage of that through the CCA. He's been transferred several times throughout the reign of the Universal Union, and is hoping that by joining the civil Authority, this will at least cease for a while.

He's a pretty arrogant guy. He feels that joining the Civil Workers Union would, and continues to be a "waste" of his time. But that's not to say he's a smartass: He doesn't have a problem with authority, and actually respects the Universal Union for what it has provided. Prior to the war he wasn't off well and his family wasn't what one would call functional. Most of those issues were dealt with through the collapse of social structure for the most part.

As of now, Cyrus continues to keep to himself and stray from any form of possible trouble. He lives a simple life and tries to help in any way he can. General assistance and cooperation are what he strives to do while he waits, hopefully having the ability to continue some form of a medical career in the Civil Authority.

Arrogant - Cyrus feels that his abilities and importance are higher than the average citizen. Though this may be an issue, he still understands his place and doesn't feel higher than anyone in a position within the Universal Union

Mellow - Cyrus doesn't loose his temper very often. As a matter of fact, not many have seen him angry for the most part. He keeps quiet and tries to do what's told of him, believing anger doesn't lead to positive results unless it's required

Loyal - If you could consider being loyal for his own personal gain a good trait, Cyrus fits this. He complies to the regulations set by the UU for the sake of getting somewhere in this changed world

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
I'm expecting a little bit of nostalgia, and hopefully a refreshed sense of fun from the CCA. I enjoyed High Command but felt being a lower rank was a lot of fun as well. So that being said I hope to have some fun and roleplay again in a new division if I'm accepted.

For my character, I'm hoping it's a little different. Having a somewhat unique sense of worth and reasoning for being in the CCA should change the way he acts, maybe causing some forms of trouble but having to deal with the reality of his situation: that he's not there for himself but for the preservation of civilized life and the UU. So, overall, a lot's going to be expected of my character. He'll have to deal with it and adapt or face the consequences whatever they may be.

4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
Cyrus Anderson was born in early August of 1993, where and raised in the southern Floridian town of Tampa. There, he and his family consisting of his father and brother lived in mild poverty, as his father was unemployed for roughly two years. Cyrus attended the normal twelve years of school, and attended a trade school during his final two years where he learned a bit about medical careers, and basic techniques of first aid and the understanding of the human body. He aspired to become a surgeon or doctor, but never exactly got to the point of decision.

With the introduction of the Universal Union and designated cities, Cyrus was placed in City one to start. There, he with the many new and confused faces endured the hardships of their new every day lives. Cyrus, still being young felt he didn't have a proper start in life, so he decided to take the initiative to become something of a productive citizen.

This consisted of your typical activities: sweeping, cleaning, attending work cycles that were initiated in the city. And for the most part, this worked. Cyrus did feel a bit of belonging, but this was short lived as he was transferred. This time, he was moved to Europe in City 45. Here, Cyrus tried his luck at the CWU. It was a strange environment when he got in: much like a hospital, it wasn't what he was looking for per se. Luckily for Cyrus, he was able to resign as he was transferred yet again after two years within the city.

He began his life again in City eighteen, using his same technique as back in New York. His ambition and overall desire for some sort of normalcy in the city were what drove Cyrus. So now, he continues to be of whatever help he can. Being polite, helping the inhabitants of the city and waiting for his time to come. Hopefully.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?
This was a very recent experience, actually. Normally when a HL2RP server is "good", it means you typically get immersed in the oppressed atmosphere of the city, and the other characters inhabiting it. In this case I was, and decided to head over to an abandoned mall which consisted of several floors of old stores and junk- basically a shithole. At the top there was a little bonfire going, several people were sitting around the fire. So, I took a seat and had some good conversation with the other five or so there. Talking about how bad the food was, what we did for tokens, etc. This was of course broken up by the Civil Protection, but I actually felt immersed and as in character as I've been in a long time on a HL2RP server.
