I remember when I joined a year or two ago, it was so much fun. While there were rulebreakers, all Gmod servers have rulebreakers and that's unavoidable by nature. It was just very friendly, and I had some great experiences.

I came back a few days ago after probably 6 months of being gone, and the server went from a nice, enjoyable experience to being full of DarkRP type players.

I mean, I haven't been on that much since I came back, but yeah it definitely has changed.

My birthday is coming up on the 22nd of November and my sister's boyfriend wants to take me paintballing. I've never been paintballing before, but I do know how to shoot a gun. What should I expect? Any tips?

Birthday is two days after Christmas so that'll be nice. I'll finally be 18. Also I this is the time of the year when all of my family comes from the south to my state to visit so I'm excited for that. Other than that I just want snow, hockey, and ice fishing.

Last year it didn't snow at all where I live, hopefully I get some this hear. I think back in 2011 or 2010 my state had a blizzard and there was like 5 feet of snow? It was awesome, I want something like that to happen again.

Try this. If this doesn't work, the mouse be broken.

Well, my birthday is coming up soon, and my parents already got me a $500 camera as an early birthday present. So, i'm not expecting much for presents for the holidays. The holidays will be very sad for our family this year, as my grandma recently passed away from breast cancer. I'm going to miss her awesome cookies.

But 9/11 wasn't even a "terrorist" attack, it was Bush's excuse to invade Afghanistan. All it really was was Al Quaeda saying "Fuck off, America".

If you want to see a real terrorist attack, look at what your own country is doing to its own people. There are no "terrorists", there's your government manipulating the media so that it seems like there is.

An actual example of an act of terrorism would be the Oklahoma City bombing, and that was done by an American.

I don't give a shit what the fucking reason for the attack was. 3,000 innocent people died by a terrorist. It was a terrorist. More people die from starvation, yes, but why do I give a fuck about them? Natural selection like it has been mentioned before. If everyone got a chance to live and be happy and healthy, our world would be way more over populated than it is right now. I'm sorry if I sound like an dick in this post, but it pisses me off when idiots from other countries or even our own country try to ruin a simple day of mourning.

We take one day out of 365 to remember a tragic loss in human life. (all) countries have a day to remember a tragic event. This was the greatest loss in American lives in one day (civilians). There has never been an event in our history as bloody as 9/11. Civilians had never been slaughtered like that. say your prayers, pay your dues, and carry on. Arguing over the validity of mourning the dead is pointless. Sure shit gets worse around the world. Sure our government is kinda shit. But let us have one god damn day.

Also, Obama said he does not want to go into Syria. Most we might do is send some surplus AKs to resistance and blow up a building. Huzzah!
Most delayed response ever, but are you F'ing kidding me? If you need your precious one day, then why not use it remembering real world issues, like hunger or political corruptness, or use it remembering actual things that weren't just caused by America being complete and utter idiots? Like remember World Wars 1 and 2, like we do in Canada, rather than remembering things that were caused by your own country's greed and idiocy, such as the Vietnam War, or 9/11 itself? If both Bush administrations (HW and W) hadn't been such power-hungry, oil-mongering idiots, 9/11 never would've happened. Just gonna throw this out there.

If I've broken forum rules by posting this, take action as necessary. I have a serious problem with America and I had to get this off of my chest somehow.

Roflwaffle said necroposting doesn't apply anymore as long as the post is still on topic so don't worry.

We do have the WW2 Memorial and veterans day, the only difference is that the WW2 Memorial costed $197 million while the freedom tower costed roughly 3 billion, even though far more people died during WW2 than 9/11,  60 million people compared to 3k people. It's pretty dumb when you think about it but what can you do.

The difference between WW2 and 9/11 it was a war. Not a terrorist attack.

So have you even tried my fix? Pretty sure it's not just for white water but for your issue as well.

I just tried it and surprisingly it worked, I didn't think it would work because it looked like I was missing content, but it worked, thanks.

General Discussion / My New Camera

My parents just ordered me a Canon T3 Rebel from newegg for my birthday, it will be my first dslr, I saw it at best buy and I like it, and it gets good reviews online, and on newegg it came with a free SD Card, a case, and a monopod, all for $449, the same price for just the camera in stores.

So what do you guys think about it? I'm pretty happy.

what are your specs and what graphical settings do you run Gmod at, and on what DX level do you run it on

My specs:

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti
DirectX 11
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1035T
OS: Windows 7
RAM: 6GB
503GB of hard drive space

Overall, I have NO issues in gmod other than this, and again, THE WATER IS NOT WHITE, it's fine until I go underwater and look up, then its pink and black checkered like i'm missing content.

My GPU is DirectX 11 compatible, and I can play pretty much any game at high. I'm pretty certain it's not my hardware.

Congratulations on creating perhaps the dozenth thread on this topic.  Before this thread is locked, let me just say that there are some good reasons why we are understaffed.  A good admin is one who has shown the ability to RP on the server while maintaining a professional attitude.  I have seen many people who I thought would make great admins until they opened their mouth.  Locating candidates with the necessary level of professionalism and maturity to handle an administration position is incredibly hard when said qualities seem to be in short supply.
Says it all.

Just to be real, your never going to get admins with that mentality. Giving trial admin to select people who seem like they are capable of handling it and they want it and closely watching them would be a much better way of getting admins, because to be honest, there are way too little admins, some of them are shit and are always afk, and people hate a server with no admins stopping rulebreakers, and HRP is really the only server on this community that is active, so that's just my though.
