Denied Authorizations / Re: 270's authorization app.
« on: February 19, 2013, 09:50:31 PM »
I thought that augments worked like this: Nanites are injected into you. To keep up with your enhanced physical abilities, your organs are replaced with mechanical ones that one, weigh you down and two, need to be powered. If they're not powered you go into cardiac arrest and die. Correct me if I'm wrong but I've been told that countless times. People are always saying "I was slightly augmented hurr durr" It's either you are or you're not. And making it so 270 can be recharged I don't agree with. Because if It's so easy, then stasis would be scrapped and we would have done that years ago.

Along with that, those machines in your body are like the ones who keep a person's heart beating or like a person on a ventilator that needs it to breathe except they shove it in your chest. Those take more energy than what a battery or solar panel are going to produce.

Introductions / Re: The lie and the truth.

I think you're being way too hard on yourself. Sure you lied, but It's not like anyone's lives here change dramatically rendering them not able to sleep at night. From my perspective, you've been kind of my boss in CCA RP for almost half a year and I and everyone else assumed you were a girl, Cool. But now you've decided to tell everyone that you're a guy. That's fine too because It's such an unimportant factor at least here. I mean looking back it may be a little strange but It's nothing that you or anyone needs to worry or feel guilty about. Hope it doesn't bother you or that you feel you have to let it.

Not sure who of us was S2King. I shot a majority of my rounds into the street and tunnels and we hung back to give you a chance to get moving. Almost 100 percent certain that wasn't me, but either way sorry about that.

Lack of communication and a solid plan was what I felt from this on my OTA. Regardless, I thought everyone did a reasonably good job pulling it off. Especially you Stat.

Suggestions / Re: APC

Yeah. I'm talking about the one in the OP. I can see like 2 sitting in it honestly; Maybe a few on the side for short distances like a riot or something.

From the link: -Fully drivable APC as seen in HL2
-Supports up to ten players: One driving, one gunning and eight passengers

It's a little crazy, but players can be limited by the driver if they hit alt which closes the hatch meaning nobody else can enter.

In the coastal areas of HL2, OTA used them for transportation and to keep up barriers (I think that's what you're talking about). So yeah, technically it is canon and could be useful for the Outlands, and seeing how it can hold 10 people that can be rather useful. Also I tried the APC and the gun fires at a reasonable accuracy, has to reload and wont let you spam bullets every direction. It's rather balanced.

Being the officer of Logistics, I'd really enjoy this. It seems pretty well made compared to just drivable. The Industrial map we're going to switch to on Saturday has pathways made wide enough specifically for the APC. And with the garage there, I'd enjoy this a lot more than my rickety hoverball suspended APC model on a jeep that can't go on inclines.

But on that note, I also found a workshop addon a while ago. Basically it adds quite a few of the vehicle models from Valve games and makes them into proper vehicles. For example, Statua uses the pickup model from Counter Strike for his Outlands character which is in there. And I'm sure there's more uses out of that than I can think of (Like the forklift for CWU). That's in the CS:S version, but it would make more sense to just get the APC if that's the only vehicle that would be used from it.

- If you were in charge of the CCA, what would you change? (most dramatic change)
- Same as above but with OTA
- Opinion on the new c17 map?

Half-Life 2 Roleplay / Re: CCA Feedback/CWU Feedback
« on: February 08, 2013, 10:51:12 PM »
Has the CCA improved over the past month or so? If so, in what areas?
Yes. They replacements for Section 0 so far are doing very well. Communication has picked up and things are starting to move along again, especially S1. A majority of the CCA's future is depending on the new RCTs, so we'll have to see where it goes. But so far so good.

Has the CWU improved at all over the past month or so? If so, in what areas?
Activity wise, I would say yes. It still seems rather boring, but I've never has a CWU character so from my point of view I can't really say.

Is there any specific points you'd like to make about the CCA that needs attention?
Section Leaders calling some meetings with their sections every once in a while. When Challenge was the leader of S4, she never checked in on us or called meetings even though it would probably help to get some feedback and suggestions from all your units in one sitting. Just some more checking in from S0 to see progress would be beneficial.

Is there any specific points you'd like to make about the CWU that needs attention?
More opportunities. Let them work with the CAB on organizing events maybe, such as things like that tea party that Dallas had organized a few days ago.

Do you have any ideas for a potential reform in either the CCA or the CWU? Preferably detailed.
Sort of with what Sexy Frog had said. The CWU's medial portion can work with the Support piece of S4, and whatever may be closest to Logistics can work alongside them with certain things like maintenance of the city, construction and so on. Cooperation and more opportunities for CWU is something that I would like to see more of, as I don't see very much from them at the moment.
