Clearly this is going to get nowhere, I suggest the argument here should drop, if you want to criticise about a certain gamemode, by all means, go to the HL2 section or whatever appropriate area of the forums you should make a thread on, your argument is not going to be heard in introduction.

Why are you telling us this? This thread has no meaning to what you're trying to get us accross.
You're defining both, rebel and resistance, then point out about how the rebels should act.

First off, in the definitions you shown then explaining how they should act, does not make any sense, what so ever.
Yes, the resistance should focus on hiding and getting away, but if they want to stop the combine from forcing people to be with the combine, then they have no choice but to use force against the source causing it, the main problem is that maps don't have a safer zones for rebels like the combines do for nexus.

This is the problem with HL2RP gamemodes, drama is stirred because the rebels are like "WTF, this is lame I don't wanna be pkd!!" Then you have the combines "Wow, this is stupid, the rebels constantly act like bad asses and openly attack the combine."

GeneralTrivium, even though we welcome you to the community, the first thing you do in an introduction
thread; Is criticise, then point out that you were in x communities, then speak as if you know everything.

An introduction on this thread; is simply an introduction, we want to know about you, not how the community''s policy should change. If you want to make a criticism over a certain gamemode, then go to the right part of the forums.

Remember, every community has their own policy as well, which you need to respect that as well.

GMTower looks like a good gamemode, but they left the hype out for so long, it became boring, I was about to play GMTower a few times, but I was like "Fuck it." and not ever played GMTower.

Lol'd when they wasted their money by trying to get a bigger box, so they can get more servers running.

I was on their forums, ages ago not posted, just registered, also not surprised that people complain that the community is full of retards.
Guess their years of work was down the toilet.

I believe it will be a great step forward from oblivion, from what I see from the trailer, the player does an animation according to what you want to do, for example doing a finishing move on your enemy, or assassinating someone, a brilliant decision made by Bathesda, this would stop the tedious fights and have a more realistic move into melee fights.

I have not seen much, but I do indeed like their giant creatures they're doing (like dragons, and huge spiders) Unlike oblivion, your enemies had a size limit biggest one I'd remember would be the minotaurs they had, but yeah all the giant enemies had primitive movements.

I am really looking forward to it, I also hope they give the whole "free roam" movement after completing the game, because it'd be a big disappointment if they didn't.

Robogranny can you extend on what you have posted btw.

General Discussion / Re: Your very first time on Garry's Mod.
« on: May 27, 2011, 01:57:01 PM »
I would have told you my story in depth about my time on GMod, but I'll cut it slightly short.

GMod 9
I was simply, the biggest mingebag in Sandbox, and in the spare time on sandbox, I attempt to make walking robots, which I have done but with limited success.
My Gmod 9 days consisted of making 2 people rage at each other. I.e. easy welding a persons base near another guy that is building, they both have an "easy weld" war, and rage over it.
In the 'RP' days (as in DarkRP) I too was a massive retard attempted to find minor glitches and exploits to annoy people, best part is where they don't blacklist some tools.
In the near end of the GMod 9 days, was playing Noxious net, so fun, so much lulz were had too.
GMod 9 was filled with very peculiar and very inspirational gamemodes.

GMod 10
My brother bought the game for me later in the year, and obviously, I was overjoyed, I loved every improvement that happened in GMod 10, the servers filled with a wide range of servers, some of which are already been repeated and remade, however I continued my days in Noxious net and random Sandbox servers, also practicing my mech building and physics testing.

Kazuo owned a sandbox server, and eventually he introduced me to PE, when I joined Pulsar Effects RP server, I was astonished, awed and curious, I wondered if there are more RP servers that did what PERP done, but never seen one, PERP was so unique (to me), I registered exactly the day before the community got screwed over by defaced.

Time passed, when OC was made, thanks to a team that was put together, Jake and Noobulator for coding, Darth for his generously paying for OC to stay alive and giving it the best security it could get, but I'm not going to detail about OC, too lengthly and obviously stupid events that occured during that time makes me unwilling to recall.

Now, I am here in Catalyst Gaming which my plan is not staying here permenantly.

General Discussion / Re: LA Noire Discussion
« on: May 25, 2011, 04:36:07 PM »
I watched my brother play L.A Noire, it's a refreshing change from the GTA series, you play as the detective, and it gives the movie feel to it as well, you get realistic expressions that are made by each character when talking to them, graphics are superb, every muscle on the face and emotion on each person is realistic.

At first, I thought the game would be boring without this GTA style, shooting everything that comes to your path, but no, it's brilliant, searching for clues, and deciding what to say to each suspect, every clue, and every move could affect the entire case, which makes it even better!

managed to borrow some money to get VIP early!

Also people need to come read the introductions. I am still dropping some jaws when people find out I am the same Wish from PERP. xD

The very Wish that won the contest, got gold member w/ 1000 post count + VIP.

Wasn't that Krystal Eyes?

Now my mind is clear. Yeah, I got confused with them both, don't ask me why, there was something notable Wish done before... Oh well, I remember Wish from PE, but nothing else from that.

General Discussion / Re: OCRP in Catalyst Gaming
« on: May 16, 2011, 09:04:06 AM »
We're not going to let OCRP lay to rest. OC was stupid enough to do it and let the gamemode die, but people eventually craved for more after. We've done too much to let it all go.

Are you also sure about that?

Darth did not want to carry on with the community for a good reason. (just mentioning this line is blatently obvious)

Jake can't constantly work on the gamemode, as he was actually studying for his exams and needed to focus on school, Jake solely worked on the gamemode when Noobulator left it to focus on his IRL situation as well, also relating to his education, eventually other gamemodes like GMR and TTT were dying because it gets broken mainly due to the updates on GMod.

I find it very sad that the majority of people (not naming names) in this thread does not realise (or respect) the actual situation the owners were in.

OCRP has come a long way in Orange Cosmos, now it is given to catalyst gaming.

Are you sure about that?
