Title: Half Life 2 Roleplay Rules

General Server Rules

1. Never metagame.

2. Never powergame.

3. Never use IC for OOC chat.

4. Never spam chat.

5. Never prop spam/surf/kill/block.

6. Always S2M (Shoot to Miss) in a firefight unless they are point blank.

7. Never Randomly Deathmatch (RDM), you must have a reason to shoot someone.

8. Never exploit the gamemode.

9. A proper roleplaying name is required. You should have a first and last name, and no celebrity names.

10. Do not walk around with your physics gun out unless you are using it, instead, use your keys or hands.

11. Never pull out a gun while being held hostage, or at gun point.

12. This is a roleplay server, therefore roleplay is required when you are on the server.

13. Do not interrupt or interfere with passive roleplay.

14. NEVER take matters into your own hands. If someone is breaking a rule, contact an admin.

15. Disconnecting to avoid a ban will only triple the ban time.

16. Disconnecting or switching characters to avoid RP is a bannable offense.

17. Do not start, initiate, or any other form of begin an RP that requires a person (mainly CCA) to have specific training to be able to continue the RP.  This means do not start RP that needs NOVA with specific training for medical, or GRID with specific training for mechanical.

18.  If you start an RP, plan on finishing it.  Do not leave a RP halfassed, waiting for someone else to finish it.  This means do not RP a building destruction without plans of fixing it up.  Doing this will cause the RP to be voided and whatever effects that it caused (down building, etc) to be removed.

19.  PM's are always and totally OOC.

20. No bombs without SA (the shield) approval.

21. Guns are not to be used or shot at people outside of D6 as a citizen.

22. Do not give sarcastic replies to serious questions. This will result in a warning at first, however, the punishments will multiply every time afterwards.

23. Situations cannot be voided without admin approval.

24. Your own characters cannot interact with each other.  In any way at all.

25. Jumping off cliffs and landing in water to get to places faster will result in an immediate PK.

26. Lulfalling through windows will result in an immediate PK.

27. When a character is being mugged, they may not be taken more than 1,000 tokens in total. That means you, your friends and the whole group of people who are mugging can steal at max one thousand tokens in total.

Administrator Rules

1. You as an administrator are not to break any of the set rules no matter the circumstance.

2. You are like any other player with the ability to administrate the server and make sure people are following the rules, you are not invulnerable to demotions or bans so behave.

3. You are never allowed to authorize any roleplay he/she is directly involved in.

4. Administrators have the right to pause roleplay (if he/she is roleplaying with another person/persons) if only when dealing with a situation which requires administration.

Should put that, if you think its bannable or even slightly, don't do it.

Updated. I expect admins to enforce rule 22 strictly.

Added 25 and 26 in regards to this thread http://www.catalyst-gaming.net/index.php?topic=18367.0 as people were getting butthurt that it wasn't in the rules.

Added rule 27, authorized by RoflWaffle. I believed it is common sense but it obviously isn't.
