Title: dofhwjsd
Post by: JF on May 02, 2014, 09:41:31 PM
Does anyone else have the virus 'dofhwjsd' or know how to remove it? It pops up in my browser saying I need to update Java. My anti virus is not detecting it. Most of the sites I have visited have said I need to remove it via regedit. I have tried to find it in that but can't seem to locate it even with the instructions. It simply isn't where they say it is.

Anyone help, as the sites I have been on have said this is a particularly nasty virus.

Don't worry, I'm from the internet. Run a nice combination of http://superantispyware.com/ (it looks ghetto but works well) and https://www.malwarebytes.org/ - if that doesn't work, feel free to add me on Steam and I'll help you out.

I have not personally encountered said virus but what i would do is ask someone you really trust (family or irl friends) for their regedit or their rundll i believe as they are key to running your computer and most viruses that avoid your anti-virus software bury themselves into there and become undetectable. Although afterwards you may experience excessive computer usage for random tasks. I would open their file location and delete them, the max CPU usage for me on my laptop is 1, 2 or 3 if i'm running a game.  I wouldnt trust anyone online for those applications though.

Please tell me you are trolling. PLEASE! For the love of your own sake... PLEASE...
Copying someone elses entire registry? You cannot possibly be serious.
If you are going to do that, you might as well download a trojan horse yourself and install it, as that would probably fuck up your computer less than destroying your registry yourself. ;-;

The best anti-virus in the world: common sense
If you say this 'virus' is screwing with your browser, have you looked at your browser add-ons and essentials and removed everything that looks suspicious? Or have you looked at Control Panel -> 'Uninstal a program' yet? I'm sure there might be shit there that you accidentally installed by clicking yes-yes-yes-agree-agree-yes-yes-install-agree-yes while installing some kind of software.

Used all forms of anti-virus, anti-spyware/malware to detect this thing. It has now completely Hijacked Comodo Dragon; it will not establish a connection to the internet, but Firefox will. PC speed is getting slower, started BSoD'ing with the error message: "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NOPAGED_AREA (ALSysl064.sys)". Every site I've looked on says that this is one of the worst viruses they have encountered.

I have looked in my running processes and programs and it isn't there. I've looked in my registry editor where they say to look and it isn't there.
I have also contacted AVG and asked if they have come across it and they say they haven't, even though there are plenty of websites up that are about this virus.

I'm no longer using my PC to protect against any more damage, so I'm on my macbook.

Gonna take my PC to a shop to get it looked at as this is a cunt of a virus. Dunno where I got it from since I usually keep away from stupid sites, emails, links etc.

Have you tried Hijackthis or Combofix?

I'd just reformat it.
That's what I was thinking. Would rather avoid it as I've only just got the PC not so long ago and it's taken me a while to install everything. If they quote me a shitty price I'm just going to bite the bullet and format and do it all over again.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/ you should try it, if you do, make sure everything but the necessities are closed on your computer including other antivirus as they may interfere

EDIT; IMPORTANT: Just realized it doesn't work for Windows 8.1 so if you have it, don't use this

I have 8.1 so yeah. I'm going to play it safe and just format it tomorrow. Rather that than have some cunt steal my money.

Look om the bright side: Because it's still a fairly new install, you won't lose to many files.
Installing software only takes half a day.

I think the Chinese have the right idea executing hackers and the like. I hope the little cunts that made this get fucking shot in the kneecaps and publicly beheaded with the bluntest butter knife known to exist.

On the upside, I have format and am currently downloading Windows 8, on Windows 7, to then upgrade to 8.1 again. The cycle of life continues. Stars align and Buddha can keep rubbing his tummy etc etc.

Pfft, I can watch porn on my Mac and my phone. Just happy to have a computer that can run games. And believe me, I will keep away. I have an idea of where I got it from, which would be some links I clicked on facebook. Y'know those '8 people doing this' or 'list of top so and so's' kind of sites. AVG has failed me for the last time as well. Fucking cunts wanted to charge me £59.95 for someone to remotely connect to my PC and try and find the virus. I'd rather suck my own dick than let them rob me. Imo they're almost as bad as the skiddies that make these viruses. GAH!

Never heard of MBAM, but indeed, MSE is serving me for a while now, plus it is with no cost if you have a Genuine copy.
