DayZ standalone server? I'd play it... Been hooked on DayZ standalone lately. :P

If it does happen 2 hr restarts po-lease. Nothing is more annoying than having to server hop just to get decent gear because of how badly the devs fucked up the loot system from the mod.

I haven't played the DayZ standalone version, but I have done some reading on the Internet about its server support and what I'm finding is that it's useless to own a server.

There's no incentive for us to set up a server and no incentive for you to play on it. Rocket doesn't want to release the server files because he's afraid people will find ways to abuse it. Private hives won't come around until AT LEAST the full release. Until we have OFFICIAL private hive support, we won't have a server.

they did mention further down the track they're going to allow fully private servers and shit but at the current point of time i wouldn't look into it
you're better off choosing an existing server and just rallying everyone together on that

Welp, private hives are a thing now. So please? lol... not really a bump seeing as how I added info... I think... But yeah, now that there are private hives would you consider it?

I play it, and its pretty fun. I still think we should wait to get a server, though.

Yea I agree. It's still a pretty under developed game. Don't think making a server would be worth it atm.

if CG got a arma 2 epoch or regular dayz (mod) server up I'd be on it, as far as standalone... I don't think its worth the money just yet. I'm still waiting for something to catch my eye. Till then ima stay on arma 2 ACE/dayz etc

I am with KJUN on this. Epoch for the Arma 2 Day Z is fun, well developed, still has support, and isn't in beta still. Would be much better than standalone for the time being... (yes I get the irony of Epoch mod being in beta, but the point was that Arma 2 and Day Z isn't)

In my own opinion, DayZ shouldn't be part of the CG community. If you wanna play DayZ with CG players, join a server together.
