Title: Best F2P MMO?
Post by: Doxy on October 19, 2011, 06:01:47 PM: I'm wondering, what do you guys think is the best F2P MMO out there?

So far my choice would obviously be APB:Reloaded.

They still need to fix bugs and update content however.

I play Runes of Magic, Fallen Earth, and Forsaken World.

All 3 have aspects I hate but some I like.

Post by: Mutual on October 19, 2011, 06:12:36 PM: If there is anything I am to suggest, I would probably say; Lord of the Rings: Online. It's F2P up to a good standard and the graphics look really nice. I really got into it and I'm sure anyone else would do too. :)

Post by: Mutual on October 19, 2011, 06:31:23 PM: Hmm true. Limitations are a real problem in F2P MMOs... I can't really think of a full fledged F2P. I suggest Global Agenda too. It's limited, but only in loot and xp and such. It's good, but can get repetitive.

In terms of Role-play and character engagement, Lord of the Rings Online works well, though you do have to abide by certain levels of lore, as well as City of Heroes which has just gone free to play. Others like APB: Reloaded and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 are great shooters I enjoy every now and then. Lots of MMO's are turning Free to Play in the next coming months, so do keep your eyes open for more info. on those!

They sell Diamonds to players for real money, and they are able to buy some cool in-game stuff.. thats the only downside of the game. However Runes of magic is really fun :D

Post by: idiedie2 on October 22, 2011, 03:40:51 PM: I played forsaken world for a while, but it just got boring. Runescape was fun back when it was good. I would keep an eye on the free-to-play section of steam as some wizzkid will make something really worth while.
