Server Update



The City Server has been applied with a partial update of the major update being rolled out over the next few days.

This portion of the update includes:
- New Vocoders (and some for Citizens!)
- New Directory Area: "Server Information" - Includes Rules and Roleplay Definitions! (Following pics were taken during the coding time, so not complete.  Ingame has a complete rules list and a WIP definitions list)

- Vort Slave is changed slightly
- CCA whitelisting now applies the proper name with a new character.

I've been on the server for less than 10 mins and i've seen people spamming voice commands already....

Why it was considered a good idea to give citizen's voice commands is beyond me.

Also, a lot of CP voice commands are now duplicated in the menu.

The doubled voice commands for CPs are already known of, and will be removed. They'll be uploaded to the server later today probably.

And about spamming citizens, that why you have /admin command. To report that.

I agree with Adam you could make a topic like TT but Voice Trust or something.

Also Veran you know when Vortigaunts voice commands will be on. I really love vorts :)

I also agree with Adam, the citizen voice commands Just got added, of course they're gonna be spammed, or at least 'tested' quite often and thoughly by those who are seeing the update for the first time.

I would agree Human Voice commands should be removed...
for CITIZENS
But not for CWU.

I think only thing that should not have voice commands are citizen, seeing as anyone can make one, therefore giving minges the ability to annoy the living fuck out of everyone. Now anything that you have to apply for like CWU, CCA, Vort, etc. should have the voice anims as there is a little bit of trust established there that they will handle it responsibly seeing as they were accepted.

Perhaps there should be a seconday citizen type character, and you must be whitelisted to be able to use it? If ops could activate this whitelist, all the better. At the very least, CWU members should be able to use this. However, I think that an application + Member citizen whitelist would make it so that mature members can use this, not trolls and minges.

Yes, because they are a seperate faction.  And Vort Slaves used to have to have the name changed from whatever it was set to but it now operates like a CCA unit, autosetting the name.

Your reasoning is very narrow.  I could say CP's shouldnt have voice commands cause they use it in annoying ways (Like one used it to call a units digits and spammed chat with it or when rofl spammed razor 500 times on c45_catalyst)  i dont see why you guys just expunge the people causing the issue rather than punish people actualy trying to roleplay with it. 

If you remove something every time some moron abuses it we wind up with nothing.
